So all my gratitude to Amber as well for making such a beloved request ❤️ And of course to fantastic Rebecca, I love how you got lost through her vocal flows at the beginning :')
@@cassiewinters331 She has helped and guided me to save myself so many times. Someday, maybe, I will be able to tell her what she has done for me. Much respect for taking the opportunity to tell her what so many of us feel: that what she does is truly and deeply important. She is an example to all that a gifted artist's creations can be spiritual medicine.
I'm convinced our dearest dearest Tori was a siren or some kind of mythical singing creature in a past life. ugh. she's just so entrancing and hypnotizing. if you don't love Tori, don't speak to me. she is absolute magic. ✨
I think what your referring to is a musical term I just discovered called Rubato. I listened to her do this since I discovered her in the 90's, It's what caught my ear's attention back then, I played bass then and music was supposed to be perfect, tight, timed, theory, yada yada, She teased the boundaries and honestly 30 years later she is probably the most talented musician of this time.
I saw her in concert in 1994 ... no other artist can compete with her raw talent. She played two pianos at the same time while she sang, her voice was perfection 👍🏻
And you can listen to Tori sing the same song twenty times and every time it will be very different. Spectacular talent. I started listening to her when her first solo album came out and have kept coming back in the decades since. Her live shows are to die for.
She absolutely saved my life. I listened to her non stop as a teenager during the darkest days of my life. Forever grateful I could connect to her. There is no one like her pure and raw talent.
I *ADORE* this anomaly of an artist and a woman. Inimitable. You can literally *feel* how her distinctive vocals and lyrics are just *propelled* from this unreachable place for most, a place that seems to belie even her own physicalities at times... It's almost as if she's in a trance-like state, like this glorious shamen serving as conduit between alternate realities. I know I sound nuts, but it always seems, to me, as if she's honestly channeling her fascinatingly distinctive sound from some far off realm....one not visible to us "mere mortals". Heh, I wish I lived there... Her energy is so loveable and endearing, too. She seems genuinely humble, lovely, yet forever loyal to her own specific truths. She's up there with Bjork and Kate Bush for unadulterated, unapologetically unique works of indefinable music. Personally, she's my all time fave... She just speaks to me, that's the best way I can explain it. She's otherworldly, yet so much more than the confines carried by any inadequate label, descriptive, or definition could ever touch. P.S. Your impressions of her are pretty awesome! You obviously have a hell of an ear.

Rebecca, check Sarah McLachlan's I Love You - Live Mirrorball tour... It is breathtakingly beautiful. ua-cam.com/video/zhAcDzH_HGo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=nettwerkbackstage
i love tori she's a great musician, singer and song writer. i love how she live her song
The high notes sent shivers on my spine... The way she sings while tapping any flat surface near her reminds me of myself when i sing with my headphones on... The only difference is that i look more like an idiot while doing such a mannerism while Tori looks more like a musical genius... 😝😝😝
Don't feel to bad, cause after all she is a ... musical genius.
@@RPRosen-ki2fk rare gem she is... Just found out about her today... And that is thanks to this video...
@@zyche03 RVA, has turned me on to so many artists I've never known about. She Is very open minded and features many diverse genres here. I strongly advise you to subscribe to her if you aren't already. She is one of my DEAREST & most FAVORITE UA-camrs. Oh and did I mention ... she F'n HILARIOUS too.
Soooooo sweet.
... one of my top 5 favorite artists and somehow i missed this reaction ... nice how you felt it ...
...won't talk much about Tori ... because words are not enough ...
...would like you to return to her music at some time ... maybe react to a song "Tear in Your Hand"? ....
God I love Tori
Tori was emo 20 years before emo became a style.. she was "me too" before me too was a movement.. she is Tori.. been a fan of her for decades
It took me a couple of minutes in the song to realize there was no music playing lol. Then of course started the piano.
God I love her.
I don't know how/why, but I completely forgot about her. Last time I heard anything from her was probably way over a decade ago.
Ohhh I’m so happy this video exists
at 6:12: "dreamed at little dream/made my own PRETTY HATE MACHINE" -- a reference to NIN for viewers who don't know Tori is tight with Trent Reznor.
