- I'm pruning three trees today, my Bloodwood ( Haematoxylum or Campeche), my small leaf Linden (Tilia cordata) and my European Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica).

i really like the way the buckthorns look, their dark gnarly trunks with their bright green leaves. they have a lot of character!
Nigel, appreciate you working through and explaining the compacting of the long horizontal branch on the Linden...Excellent teaching moment...Same with the pruning choices on the Buckthorn...Thanks...
That Bloodwood is really nice looking! Great prunes! The new front you picked is really nice!
Now looks like a tree that we say left right of the street Mr. NIGEL, more natural
Nothing like a good pruning to start the day!
39:28 - D: jumping spider!!
Salud, Nigel.

Nigel, I had the pleasure of enjoying this video last night but was too tired to comment... I collected 2 young bloodwood trees from a park and I find that species very interesting... They grow quite vigorously and I've noticed that so far I've realized I have to keep an eye on them.. Great video as usual.
Another fine tweek in the Bonsia Zone ... thanks Nigel .
hi, Nigel! if you want to kill off buckthorn for good, you can do what we did and wrap the stumps with black garbage bags until the foliage dies. this prevents sunlight from stimulating the tree to regrow. it took 2 seasons iirc but we successfully killed an invasive buckthorn growing in our fence by following this method. 👍
That is why your are the Master. Great video!!!
1St tree is Beautiful after trimming
I’ve been contemplating a suburban street penjing. The Bloodwood looks like a perfect street tree! Nice job with it! Cheers Nigel.
Great video! Thats a nice looking Compeche Logwood ! 💯
Last tree definitely best front is that you marked and after you cut that straight part it will look so good.
👍👌👍
Second.👍😁
Hello
Maybe a weird question, but Irish moss.... Is it a moss or a grass? Do you, or anyone else know the scientific genus or other name for it?
