I am going to echo the other folks here by saying I love these videos where we can see the development of the tree over time. You produce a wild amount of content that can be overwhelming to go through as a newer subscriber. These are going to be the most valuable videos on your channel for me.

Hey Nigel, this is my first comment on one of your videos. I've been watching your channel for years now and I just wanna say thank you. You've been a huge inspiration and a major guide throughout my bonsai journey. I started bonsai back when I was 12 and I'm going on 16 now. I remember your first video I watched was "Keeping a Bonsai Tree Small". Was hooked ever since.
    All the best for 2024,
    Lewis.

Nigel thank you so much for making this. This is so incredibly inspiring. This is an excellent video that showcases that with patience and perseverance a person can make an incredible bonsai. I can't tell you the amount of times i've dug through the playlist on this lemon tree looking for help when it comes to taking care of my lemon tree bonsai. This is amazing.

I did that last year. Found rooted cuttings in a 8 by 8 cm plastic pot and let it grow on the balcony all summer and cut it down for indoor winter.
I am in love with citrus trees, have a bigger calamondin that was covered in flowers this summer and when the outdoor air heat up during the days it smells like heaven.
Also predictive trees that reacts like you think they would when work on them. No big problems with insects beside scales to look for. Grow like crazy when happy like shows in Nigel’s videos.
Lemon trees has the nastiest thorns of the citrus family and they draw blood sometimes.
My calamondin have barley any thorns just rounded intends bulge out, that is great shows me there it is a dormant bud with out I need plasters after pruning.

Some trunks are so big they can look unnatural. I think the lemon tree looks quite elegant. Sometimes less is more!
We also had some snow these days. It was pretty chilly recently, but mostly dry. Now finally some snow. I think that's a bit safer for the trees than the dry freezing temperatures.
Nice new jingle 🎵 I wish you and your trees all the best for 2024!

Those bulges are charming and make it unique and maybe they smooth out some in future as well.😀 It is not that unnatural either as some trees like Linden, oaks etc can have strange bulges that make them special.
