I might have to go this route on my next rear tire change. Because the cobras are not only hella expensive but they really suck! Within a year or so the threads gone! Unfortunately for that size rim is a rare 🐦. So only one brand makes that size tire.
I had a bunch of guys tell me to use a 215/55 17…there is no way that works without modifying the rear fender…did u modify anything for the 205 to work?
I think the most striking take away for me is the amount of road debris that is coming up on the underside of the bike. I have always wondered why bigger bikes didn't come with a flatter profile tire anyway. A big cruising bike is obviously setup for more long straight away runs.
Japanese girl living in Scotland. I have always ridden Harleys but have become disillusioned lately with HD's quality. I currently ride a personally customised HD Dyna Street Bob (FXDB) with the 96ci motor. A Yamaha XV1900 Roadlinner is on my list as a replacement. Can anyone advise? Cheers, Aki
I currently ride a 06 Stratoliner and they are great bikes. The early models had some 3rd gear issues but seems to be if ran extremely hard. Tons of power and room on the bike. Compared to Road King I ride with a 103 it is no comparison on how much better the Yamaha is all around.
Yes. Do it!!!! Just got an 07 but Speedo is fogging. No neutral light. No self canceling blinkers and check engine light stays on and bolt for transmission transfer case is right behind the exhaust we’re both start to get covered by one big shell. They say to take the exhaust off to fill it with oil. Cut a 10 mm hex wrench reallll short after the bend to avoid that. Other than that great cruiser

It look like the Michelin CrossClimate + 205/55 R17 95V XL do the job!
Great video.....

does the tire rub the fender when you have a passenger on with you?
It haven't done yet
It would rub the driveshaft first. Goodyear triple tread on my Valkyrie. U can get a credit card between tire and Drive shaft cover!! It’s a 205.

How come your scoot keeps dying?? Try some Sea Foam, it seems to have great results on the Liner forums.
Fuel pumps are known issues with these bikes. I just pulled mine out today. $400 replacement since I have to replace the entire unit.

How could you describe an impression?
how noticable is the handling difference in turns?
What kind of tire are you running, Dunlap?
