    Hands down, Tim has the most beautiful, practical, efficient and well thought out tecnic available out there, i have a slightly different tecnic because my lines a shorter and my rods faster and stiffer, but when i put a longer line on my rods his tecnic is the best.

    This is a very nice video!
    A straight line!
    And a slow and smooth lift!
    All of that is very important!
    Cheers to my friend Tim

    Great Video Tim. Excellent instruction...your points are easy to follow and the filming lets us see the movements required to set up the cast. The music and scenery are bonuses.

    Such great insight. So many teaching videos skip past this vital part of the cast, the setup is everything. Awesome vid Tim (and awesome lines!) More please!!!!

    Hi Tim. Struggled with my Mainstem on my 6 wt 12’6 and 13’ 8 wt. Finally realized the rods are simply too short, trying to set the anchor with these short rods sent my upper hand out on safari. Duh. Can’t afford new sticks. Picked up a Tributary 6/7. Fished it the first time yesterday. 8 hrs non stop on a river not producing fish. Can not convey in words what a joy and absolute pleasure it is to single Spey this Tributary. And my upper hand stays where it’s supposed to. No fish - not a grab, but I couldn’t tear myself off the river - the casting is so pleasurable. My heartfelt thanks for your efforts and product. Standing in line at my local fly shop for the Scandi/Skagit hybrid!

      Hello! Yes the longer lines can be really tough on those shorter rods! The Tributary is the answer for many of these shorter sticks and I find them to be the perfect length for rods in the 12 to 14 foot class. So glad you enjoyed the Tributary line and thank you so much for your continued support!

    Great video! I have a question: Do you point the rod straight down the line at the beginning of the lift? Or do you have an angle between your rod and your line (by keeping your rod slightly outward towards the river, if that makes sense)? Thanks, and looking forward to more videos coming.

    • @bridgeflyfishingproducts6170
      @bridgeflyfishingproducts6170  4 роки тому +3

      Thanks! I often lift with the rod tip pointed out over the river towards the target which is a specific style of lift. On this video we wanted to focus on fundamentals of the lift regardless of the type of lift used. Will have a video on lift types coming!

      @@bridgeflyfishingproducts6170 Thank you for the reply! Looking forward to the next videos. I have been told to use an angle in the lift but I don't really understand what it really does. Thanks alot.
