Mate the 17 x 13 is the best coil I have ever had. Surprisingly good on tiny pieces and shot one inch deep and so good at lifting deeper targets. Go over someone’s old patch or raking if you come across it and you will get missed targets with the coil.
Cheers Steve. My dogs encourage me to go walking and we often just go patch hunting together, so I have dedicated a youtube channel to them. I will definately post more information about the techniques etc. Enjoy "Two Dogs Prospecting" adventures ua-cam.com/channels/0uo21jG1xYEfiV7li2SP8Q.html
Is it possible that there is undetected ground in Victoria?, i find it hard to believe especially in a rich area like Maldon, not accusing you of anything just find it very hard to believe, i mean they are shallow chunks that a $10 detector would scream on, that nobody has tried that area is astonishing to me!!!
I hear what you are saying and agree that this little slope and gold run was a random and rare thing to find these days. The site looked so much better on the top and other side of the hill, and you could see others had walked over it and picked out targets (not gold) I only walked down the other side walking out with my dogs, back to my car about 800 meters away. Remember, this little run was only the size of a double garage, and I could have walked straight through it if I had not picked up the first and, yes, easily detected first nugget.I am sure others may have walked through this over the years and dismissed the ground as ordinary.
That’s what dreams are made of mate! I hope you’ve cleaned out that hill! The whispering adds to the drama. Awesome stuff 👍✨👍

verry nice mate i just got back from a moring swing got a nice bit of lead . ah well nex time .... gpx4500. bendigo
For every nugget there would be 30 + lead shot. If the leads still in the ground the area has not been detected by others properly.
