Bought one in early 2020. Drives great. No trouble with the engine or power. The kids love it. Because of the solid axle you get traction on both wheels. I have driven it in about 8 inches of snow and it does not skip a beat. The headlights are not bright so added an 18 inch light bar to the roll cage. Perfect now
Just bought one yesterday for $100 but it needs a lot of work as it's been sitting for a few years now but supposedly " it ran when parked " 😂😂😂😂 we'll see today when I get off work 😂😂😂😂
I want something like that to spend more quality time with my grandsons. Had a VW bush buggy in ‘70s early’80s that dad and I built together. Miss the fun he and I had,and would love to give my boys those types of experiences.
this is the most info I seen on this go-kart i got one used for my son and it needs a lot of work, can you post video of the maintenance you do on the go-kart
Looking at buying one of these, is there a choke cable somewhere? I know the new ones have a knob on the right side of the drivers seat. Didn't seem to find one on this machine and had a hard time starting when in was cold. Thanks
That’s weird, mine didn’t have a speed governor. Try making sure the throttle cable is tight and push the gas down all the way and see if the carburetor is fully open, sometimes there is a little device behind the gas Pedal that restricts it. Best of luck fixing it
@@TrailJoe do what he’s saying but still it will run slow. You have to get a high performance CDI box. Already went through the trouble of researching for you. Here is the one that fits and works. Mine went from 37 to now 45mph. Next I am upgrading with an exhaust kit from hammerheadperformance
So as reliability goes I would say it’s one of the most reliable Chinese products. It’s not gonna last you as long as a Yamaha or Honda, but it’s also not a lemon.
@@dubo2057 if would say if you took decent care of it, it would last a minimum of 5 years before you run into any engine problems. normally you can get 10 years out of them with good maintenance.

Thanks for discussing all the parts. We just bought a used one and didn't know what one part was but your video explained. Thanks!

The air filter was the main reasons I switched out the gy6 to a predator 420cc.
Great review
GREAT VIDEO I SUBED FROM SOUTH AFRICA
All of this is great but who makes the thing?
Hammerhead is owned by Polaris, so these things tend to have pretty good build quality for what they are!
Polaris itself isn’t the greatest of companies but this go kart is great
Good review. Would’ve like to see it more in 3rd person bystander view or helmet cam.
I’m planning to get one
It is well worth it assuming you didn’t already get one in the past two years
Put some DOT tires on it, and damn this shit be street-legal!
what is the width of the gokart chassis?
Mantap bang, saya juga lagi membuat go kart
What year is this model. Great review btw
Thanks! I have a 2015
@@TrailJoe thanks buddy
@@TrailJoe same I also have a 2015

On the LE model there is a choke cable on the side of the seat. But in the gts it is electric choke.
@@TrailJoe Can you buy me one please I’ve been wanting a go kart for years but unfortunately my mom can’t afford one. Thanks
@@Aryal_ look man buy your own dude..
Do you check your air pressures often?
No not unless the tires look low
Very good review!!!
Thank you!
You deserve more subs
Great vid
Thanks!
Bro come on man could you please do a video on how to put the damn seat belt on I never know how to put it on
They are like booster seats
So apparently there is a speed governer and mine has been going slow, can you tell me where it is and how to govern the speed

@@TrailJoe thanks man I’ll try checking it out

Just got a brand new one and there is a obnoxious rattling coming from behind dealer said this is normal is he full of it?
Yeah I had the same exact issue with mine. It’s a common problem on these Chinese go karts. It’s most likely a loose bolt somewhere.
Man I wonder if this would fit in the back of a pick-up truck
Yes
Where can I buy one of this go kart????
I got this one off of Facebook marketplace but they also sell them at Powersports dealerships.
How wide is the rear from outside to outside of tires?
A little under 5 feet wide
How fast does your go?
I think like 40-45
Do you think someone 5'7 would fit in it?
Yes
Is it reliable? I’m thinking about buying one

Have any ideas how many years it would last?
