I was there that night with my Dad and now he has passed away and he loved this song and the killers and now i always listen to this song to remember that great night. Thank you 'the killers'
The "day-oh"s are such a beautiful tribute to Freddie Mercury (his very iconic moment at 86') It almost brought tears to my eyes. Freakin' LOVE The Killers!!! This is the most awesome song/best idea to perform at the famous stadium ever!!!!!!!!!
'Whether it's a hot blooded win, or heartbreaking loss Those three lions proudly play under the weight of St. George's cross' Im not crying, you're crying!
Been a Killers fan for years only just found this. The Killers are clearly pleased with the reception they get in England. As a proud Englishman, thanks to Brandon & the guys for this song.

They are so talented. Everybody has always questioned why they are my favorite band, but if they could all just see this, I'm sure they would understand.
They were the greatest of their generation. Period. They stand shoulder to shoulder with giants like Elvis, The Byrds, Queen, The Cars, and Pearl Jam. God bless The Killers.
Brandon thought it was disingenuous of them to record a bunch of American Idiot stuff over in the UK, where it would mean something different than it would if it was recorded here in the states.
Sorry, but Brandon was right the first time. How is it not anti-US when your song says F**K America in American Idiot? I liked Green Day until they named their album "Bullet in a Bible".
We were there, and as a Scotsman every hair on my body was on end. Truly a phenomenal concert. This was a history maker. A privilege to have been part of it. 🤜🏻🇬🇧🏴🏴🇺🇸🤛🏻
the best concert of my life... My blood runs cold each time I watch this and I see Brandon's watery eyes. It seem like yesterday rather than a year ago.
I wasn't lucky enough to be there on the night but I can't put into words how emotional this video makes me. It had me in tears (the good kind) right from the start. Brandon looks so happy; I think that's what makes it so special, because you can tell how much it means to him. Thank you so much for this. True legends.
the audience went crazy when Freddie was mention. I love the song and its meaning. I've seen most of them live, of course without their moon or their stars .
Yo, I didn't know I was going to start crying when I heard him sing "da da daaa daa daaa". Ive been a diehard for so many years, and their music means so much to me. Hearing all those songs in one sentence made me realize how much I actually owe to this band.
I was there that night when this song took us by surprise and what a finale to an amazing concert. Been after this song since then, makes me proud everytime.
This was The Killers at their sublime peak, and one hell of a night! From this epic celebration of their music to the mad dash across London for a totally different experience in that tiny, intimate gig at The Garage. A night that will stay with me forever!
I was there. I was in shock. It was utterly amazing to be part of this amazing song. so emotional! just a shame the dvd never surfaced, assume it's because of all the sound problems. dave wasn't impressed was he! glad brandon had the time of his life though! xxxxxx
Amazing! I almost cry when Brandon says: after tonight you can put another name on that list. And it gives me shivers watching my dear Freddie on the screen. I need this concert on DVD
I know right, it's so frustrating! I reckon they will eventually release it but will be like when they are celebrating their 50th year or something! I'm not being funny but i could be dead by then! x
I was at this gig, I remember thinking on the train to London it'd be great if they mention Queen's legendary performance at the old Wembley and mention it they did, as well as all the other great bands who have played there- it was epic and unbelievably emotional. I thank the Killers for a very special moment in the lives of all who were there!
The Killers and Green day are both my fav bands (well as you can see with my username LOL), they helped me to get through tough times and seeing Brandon making peace to Green Day with that statement is really special to me. ❤
I was there that night at Wembley Stadium. What an occasion it was. The Killers second home is definitely London. And they played like they completely belonged there. I have my own video of this song, but obviously nowhere near the same quality. Thanks for uploading this video, brings back great memories!
Never seen this. Oh well! Been a fan since the beginning, then forgot about them for years until Covid. Would loved to have seen them at what looks like the old Wembley.
People give me crap... I love Zepplin, Radiohead, Arcade Fire and other fantastic bands, but for some reason I can't deny the The Killers are my absolute favorite band of all time. I have had the privilege of meeting Brandon twice and as a fellow Mormon musician I am forever inspired by him.
I'm an Aussie living outside of Melbourne and after watching your performance at the AFL Grand Final I stumbled on this performance... never really been a Killers fan but after watching this ode to the people of Wembley, well... I gotta respect you blokes! Nicely done!
I was there, and like msbside I was so proud of a band I follow so much I feel like they're friends, especially Ronnie, my man crush! ha! I get goosebumps watching this and a little tear in my eye! My friends and I will be having a viewing night in from of a home cinema and relieving that night when the DVD comes out!
They better do a tour in northern Europe again when I can afford to go, cuz there ain't one single killers song I don't like! They ARE the best rock band of this generation! :-D
flowers is one helluva singer i like the way the killers have grown from brandons flamingo solo album, simply the greatest band on earth , i see a resemblance with the killers and queen .
Yep. I've read elsewhere about the Brandon/Freddie comparisons. Both charismatic front men. Of course Freddie is the better singer, but I personally like Brandon's songs alot better.
This is pure perfection, it's actually unbelievable how perfect the killers are. And you come to learn the personalities of each one of them. Can't believe the battle born journey has ended for me:( Hopefully many more shows like this one to come!
I was there that night squished second row from front. This makes me teary everytime I watch it. The pure joy on Brandon’s face and the passion that he sings this with its clear how much the UK and the UK fans mean to them. Best night ever (best early morning ever too at the Garage aftershow)
"We took out all the bad shots of Ron to make us look cooler, too." OMG! 😂 what are you talking about. Ronnie is the coolest guy. I forever will love this song, it makes me cry and remembers me why I love you guys so much.
This is a readymade response to the (sadly often true) stereotype that Americans don’t know or care about anywhere outside the States. Lots of performers learn enough about the places they’re playing to make a reference to it during the show. You gotta love that the Killers take it about 20 stages further!
Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps!! I was lucky enough to be at the gig and to hear it live was unforgettable!! Best gig I have EVER been to!!! Keep making fantastic music guys.... It makes my soul sing! :-)
I get goosebumps and tear up to point I might aswell be crying when I hear this! Makes me so proud to be British and even more so English! Possibly the most fitting tribute to such an iconic stadium that has filled millions apon millions peoples hearts with love and joy. Please guys release this as a single! Absolutely incredible. Thank you!
"From Dave's apartment to Wembley". What a dream.
I was there that night with my Dad and now he has passed away and he loved this song and the killers and now i always listen to this song to remember that great night. Thank you 'the killers'

And the decades disappear, like sinking ships, but we persevere. God gives us hope, but we still fear what we don’t know ❤️

A fantastic night, this song brings back great memories for me. What a brilliant way to remember your father.
How many artists write songs about their fans so sincerely?
Volbeat wrote the song Thank You for the fans :-) and i very love it!!!
Kings of Leon wrote one about their UK fans because they were the first ones to take to their music
Long live by Taylor? Is that a tribute to her fans?
Should have included this on their Direct Hits album
Couldn`t agree more Alex love this video and song would have been a great extra track on deluxe version
P was not a #1 hit song
That Is An Excellent Point Alex !
This always makes me cry.
I was there that night with my son, Joe..
What a fantastic night, a night I will never forget..
#lovethekillers
He actually first did them at Live Aid in 1985. Very lovely and fitting tribute.
Rewatching this 7 years later and it still makes me teary-eyed 🥺
BRILLIANT
'Whether it's a hot blooded win, or heartbreaking loss

I love the tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen
I saw tears in Brandon’s eyes and it made me realize dreams come true
I can still hear Freddie' sing
Me too :)
I can hear you, Andrea.
Been a Killers fan for years only just found this. The Killers are clearly pleased with the reception they get in England. As a proud Englishman, thanks to Brandon & the guys for this song.

A moving homage from a sensitive, witty, brilliant, highly talented and melodic band of musicians.
I can't agree more! n_n
still love it, mate
They are so talented. Everybody has always questioned why they are my favorite band, but if they could all just see this, I'm sure they would understand.
I really think the Killers are the best band in the world. Seriously, who's better?
@@mjk5882 The Kopycat Killers. (Tribute band, they sound exactly the same) Lol
He literally is a king, I can’t fathom this.
GOD DAMN how does this not have millions of views?!? So incredible! I get goosebumps when I watch it!
What a way to honor all the great bands and events Wembley has seen. When he mentioned Freddy Mercury and Queen, I got shivers.
I feel like we in the UK have claimed The Killers as our own. Adopted sons, which if you think about it does not happen often.
They were the greatest of their generation. Period. They stand shoulder to shoulder with giants like Elvis, The Byrds, Queen, The Cars, and Pearl Jam. God bless The Killers.
The Killers are still the best of this current generation 😀👍
like if you had goosebumps
I did!
14ZIM me
This was good. Sat at the top but it was still great show.
Totally
"Green Day, I know I said some shit but that was the old me." 😂
I broke up MCR Two Questions:
1. What was the beef between the Killers and Green Day?
2. Why did you break up MCR?
Brandon thought it was disingenuous of them to record a bunch of American Idiot stuff over in the UK, where it would mean something different than it would if it was recorded here in the states.
SmurfyX He also said he wanted to beat pop-punk bands to death.
As a huge fan of both bands, this line made me smile. :)
Sorry, but Brandon was right the first time. How is it not anti-US when your song says F**K America in American Idiot? I liked Green Day until they named their album "Bullet in a Bible".
The way they remembered so many legends but especially Freddie with the crowd interaction... Damn.
We were there, and as a Scotsman every hair on my body was on end. Truly a phenomenal concert.
This was a history maker.
A privilege to have been part of it.
🤜🏻🇬🇧🏴🏴🇺🇸🤛🏻
Brandon's such a sweet guy, he's like the anti-troll of the music industry. Never will forget the impact Hot Fuss had on Noughties rock music
I was there... I held Brandon's hand... Oh my... What a memory... I love these guys... They are more than a band... They are legends!!!!
Must have been an unforgettable night.
The fact that you can see tears inside your idol's eyes.
OMG, Mark smiling! :D
the best concert of my life... My blood runs cold each time I watch this and I see Brandon's watery eyes. It seem like yesterday rather than a year ago.
Seems like a year ago now rather than 7 years ago 🙂
How does 10 sound?😂
@@automaticasthmatic like two years ago LOL
I'm 72 years old and the Killers is the best band since the Beatles.
still one of the best concerts I have ever seen.
When he started naming bands my first thought was literally "Queen!", so I'm not surprised everyone went crazy.
crap i finally watched this video in 2018 and im crying damn what have the killers done to me this the most beatiful song for a stadium ever
.... and I'm watching now, but I think never late ....🌐
Damn. I'm American, and this still brought tears to my eyes. I love these guys.

Possibly one of the greatest songs ever written !
Waiting for this to blow up after youtube randomly recommends this to everyone after a few years. For now, this is selfishly our secret treasure♡
BEST BAND IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW! SO GLAD I WAS THERE!
I was there that night when this song took us by surprise and what a finale to an amazing concert. Been after this song since then, makes me proud everytime.
Such a great tribute to Freddy from a magnificent american band !
Who were the 9 cretins to dislike this? Utter fools! This was amazing. Would love to do it all again. the Killers are fantastic
I'm not even a Killers fan, but this song is fucking awesome!
Thomas McIsaac HOW THE FUCK CAN U NOT LIKE THE KILLERS? but i do appreciate the fact that u still have respect for them
The INXS line was really touching, made me smile :)
This was The Killers at their sublime peak, and one hell of a night! From this epic celebration of their music to the mad dash across London for a totally different experience in that tiny, intimate gig at The Garage. A night that will stay with me forever!

Amazing!! And I love the fact that Brandon has tears of emotion in his eyes toward the end!
This was truly the high point of the show. I will always remember that night, front row with tears in my eyes
Seven years on and this song still brings a lump to my throat! So much effort for a song that could only be sung at one place. Spectacular night.
I'm still waiting the dvd 😞
Isaac BG Never going to happen. Too many empty seats at the stadium.

What a great tribute to the greatest of all time. Eeeeeeoooooooooo
Had goosebumps while listening to this entire song. I wonder how Flowers must've felt while singing it.
Love the confidence of Brandon to do the "day-oh'" in Freddy's house....
He did it well.
Great tribute.
Great song.
Saw Springsteen at Wembley, the following Saturday I saw the killers, one of the best weeks I've ever had, nice mention to the Boss.
I was there and that was totally awesome. please come back so we can do it all over again. What a band!!!!
