About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.Their first album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” in addition to the anthemic song “All These Things That I’ve Done,” which has since been referenced by the likes of U2 and Coldplay. The band toured for two years straight behind Hot Fuss, playing more than four-hundred shows, and eventually returned to Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown entitled Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent forty-two weeks on the Billboard Top 200.A b-sides collection entitled Sawdust was released in 2007, followed by their third studio album, Day & Age, which was released to widespread critical praise in 2008, anchored by massive single “Human.”The Killers released Battle Bornin September 2012, which saw them expanding their world tour into countries they’ve never visited before, and finally were honored to perform at the world-renowned Wembley Arena, one of the most monumental and significant shows of their career. After a decade of making music, in November 2013, The Killers released a “Best Of” collection, Direct Hits, which featured two incredible new songs alongside classics from the band’s revered catalogue. The band, who have sold over twenty-five million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury), released their newest studio album, Wonderful Wonderful, in September 2017, where it landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart the week of its release, as well a stopping the charts in the U.K. and Australia. The album is the band’s fifth consecutive number one in the U.K., and Brandon Flowers’ seventh U.K. number one overall.

Very few artists can sound like they do on their album, and Brandon is def one of them. No auto tune bullshit needed for his voice . He (in my opinion) is one of the best singers ever.
lemonyfresh26 why is this true???
@@joinks8309 what a strange comment??
i know it's crazy how similarly he sings live compared the recorded songs. Especially now when autotune is so prominent, hearing him live is just amazing.
True!
There's a sound engineer behind this live recording , don't forget
Best song the Killers have ever made.Best song anyone has ever made.A masterpiece like nothing else.
I agree
tty agreed MrB is also awesome, have to admit it!
Agreed. They should always have it on their set lists.
couldn't of said it better myself..its an amazing story!
Graeme Doyle tbhhhhh 😭😭😭😭😍😍
Brandon's voice sounds strong and vulnerable at the same time. IT's amazing.
3:40 Mr.Brightside-like guitar riff and I officialy died.
Right!?!?! Totally blew my mind.
Sydon or a sequel, depending on which way you look at it
It's neither a sequel nor a prequel. Miss Atomic Bomb is the reality, Mr Brightside is the fantasy that tore said reality apart.
@@Stark-Raving I think the mixture of animation and live action with the same characters in the Mr. Brightside video they use for the video for this song, it's the same person looking back at the same moment in time, but with a new point of view, clearer, yet still emotional, as he says in the lyrics - "The dust cloud has settled, and my eyes are clear
But sometimes in dreams of impact I still hear
Miss Atomic Bomb".
it was the sequel.. i am having goosebumps...
This song NEEDS to be played more at their concerts! It’s one of the bests songs from The Killers⚡️👏🏼
three years later, this song still bring tears to my eyes. dunno why. the singer's melancolic voice maybe ? a masterpiece, to listen to again and again
+pascal nuevayork probably the lyrics and the melody
Settle down.
Totally agree
pascal nuevayork same😭😭😭
A
To everyone who is hating on the crowd... I've been to show tapings. Not Letterman, but others similar. The crowd was likely instructed to act subdued during the filming so to not interfere with the performance. It's not like a concert. You get a major tutorial how to behave before filming begins and anyone who acts out is immediately removed and it's all edited out. Hell, before you even come they send a dress code to your house. You are instructed on what colors are appropriate to wear or even what style. It's very specific and you are judged by assistants the instant you walk in the door even as to even where you sit, because only the ones they choose appear on camera in the sweeping crowd shots. This is a great performance, but the crowd acted as directed if they wanted to stay.
THIS! It was like that for Ellen, and also Craig Kilborn. Well, except they didn't send a dress code to my house. :)
Back when they shot, Martha Stewart and Tyra Banks sent dress codes in e-mail. Certain colors would not be tolerated and honestly Tyra gave me a Gap sweater to cover the fact that they hated my green polo shirt.
It's a slower song anyway so they don't need to be hollering and jumping around.
Plus watch the other letterman performance vids. The crowd goes crazy in those. This one was prob televised so they were told to keep calm
That's a shame, life should be real and authentic always ❤❤❤❤
I love this band a lot. It frustrates me how criminally underrated they are even though they're considered mainstream music. But I do remember Brandon saying in an interview that he wanted The Killers to stay that way. Gotta respect that
all that matters is what they mean to you man. they still making music to this day thats also all that matters. they have had enough success to have a long career with amazing music. enjoy it man not many bands have a legacy like the killers do.
Brandon's voice is just perfect, and so is this song. Favourite band ever
Even before the Mr. Brightside riff comes in, the song's pure, uncanny, PAINFUL nostalgia. But when that riff comes-AHH-it's hard to stop the tears!
god dammit bro, I was crying like a children .. the killers best band I've ever seen in my life
Why do every time I watch a live of The Killers, I feel like I'm hearing the studio version of their songs ? I mean. Brandon Flowers is a fucking machine.
there needs to be a sequel to this where they get together!!
Definitely one of my favorite Killers track of all of them
What I love the most about this band is that they sound exactly as perfect as their studio recording everytime
You can tell he's having a ball singing this song. I know he always puts his passion into every song but it's more so in this song than I've ever seen.
his voice is heavenly
I absolutely love his voice. Sounds so melancolic like he's about to cry but at the same time strong ❤
for the first minutes I was trying to focus if this was live!! Man.. the real singer,,, no auto tunes.. no shit words.. and no bullshit.. big applause
Wow...I've never heard someone with such a spectacular natural voice, and with such songwriting talent :') ♥
Julian casablancas is awesome too
Brandon's voice and story telling cuts through my heart
That's a great song!📻 Everyone has a memorylane. I love the way he writes and shares through his music.
You were standing with your girlfriends in the street
Falling back on forever, I wonder what you came to be
I was new in town, the boy with the eager eyes
I never was a quitter, oblivious to schoolgirls' lies
When I look back on those neon lights
The leather seats, the passage rite
I feel the heat, I see the light
Miss Atomic Bomb
Making out, we've got the radio on
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Racing shadows under moonlight
Through the desert on a hot night
And for a second there we'd won
Yeah, we were innocent and young
Cast out of the night, well you've got a foolish heart
So you took your place but the fall from grace was the hardest part
It feels just like a dagger buried deep in your back
You run for cover but you can't escape the second attack
Your soul was innocent, she kissed him and she painted it black
You should have seen your little face, burnin' for love
Holdin' on for your life
All that I wanted was a little touch,
A little tenderness and truth, I didn't ask for much, no
Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time
Miss Atomic Bomb
Making out we've got the radio on
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Racing shadows under moonlight
We're taking chances on a hot night
And for a second there we'd won
Yeah we were innocent and young
The dust cloud has settled, and my eyes are clear
But sometimes in dreams of impact I still hear
Miss Atomic Bomb, I'm standing here
Sweat on my skin
And this love that I've cradled
Is wearing thin (Miss Atomic Bomb)
But I'm standing here and you're too late
Your shock-wave whisper has sealed your fate
It feels just like a dagger buried deep in your back (it's a proving ground)
You run for cover but you can't escape the second attack (and you turn it to chance)
Your soul was innocent, she kissed him and she painted it black (on a loser's game)
You should have seen your little face, burning for love,
(Miss Atomic Bomb)
Holdin' on for your life
But you can't survive (All that I wanted was a little touch)
When you want it all (A little tenderness and truth, I didn't ask for much)
There's another side (Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time)
Im standing here......
Im singin here....
one of the killers' songs that I hear over and over again, never get bored...love this song so much! "you're gonna miss me when I'm gone" yaaay!
....sitting in the dark listening to the Killers, tears rolling down my face...
That voice is unlike any other.
If he isn't lip singing (I know he isn't), then he is probably the best live singer I've heard yet, at least in terms of sounding like the studio version. That's impressive.
This song is gorgeous. The emotions evoked by the melody, the lyrics, and his voice are a rush of bittersweet nostalgia. The power of his voice can move mountains.
The Killers are amazing. Pure talent. I love them, so much. They deserved a lot more recognition than what this crowd gave them.
Pronto tendré el privilegio de escucharlos aquí en mi ciudad 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Una banda hermosa!❤
who cares about the way he's dancing when his singing is so damn good? jesus!
I had a miss atomic bomb and if I had the talent this is the song I would have wanted to write. It's perfect
I'd probably cry if I saw them live. Not only because I love them but also because ALL their songs make me feel a certain type of way 😢😢😢
This song is beautiful. Bittersweet perfection. Dream is to cover this professionally.
omg what a performance , he sounds exactly like the same
Forever my no 1 song
Gracias the killers!!! Una de mis bandas favoritas gracias por acompañarme en buenos y malos momentos, tuve la suerte de verlos este año y mereció todo, puro talento! Flowers y compañía en vivo suenan espectacular.
I could watch Ronnie drum all day every day.....
BEST SONG EVER
Beautiful song
I'm impressed Brandon had that much passion behind the song while the audience was dead. Poor guy.

My god what a performance. Just raw emotion and talent...unreal. This song just makes me feel such an inexplicable way.
A touch of class.
Brandon! Sos un genio! Banco a full la musica que haces!❤
Best song ever, never ever getting over it.
YOU GOT THE RADIO ON BABY
I really hope The Killers come to Chicago soon, I've been dying to see them live
The lower the voice, the more heartbreaking the song is.
This one is in my top 5 killers songs
just close your eyes and just listen to how pure his beautiful voice is...
They are the only band in this world who can sound like their studio recordings live
yet another top song by a real class group one of the best around in my opinion, this song is sung with such emotion this guy's voice !! he expressses such passion and feelings throughout the song he gives it enormous energy ?? very powerful peformance i love it big time !!!
The Killers what more can I say, the love for this band is unexplainable and album after album it leaves me wanting more.
Battle Born helped me through My worst time in Life.
Great band. Perfectionists.
Una canción hermosa , voz extraordinaria lo mejor Brandon y su banda the Killer un en vivo ❤❤❤
"sometimes the dreams that impact us are still here!", i love it when he hits his stomach with his hand.
For me too, best Killers song ever. Heartwrenching and beautiful
I believe the point he was trying to make is that it is Brandons job to be doing what he does, despite the enthusiasm of the crowd
Favorite band & favorite song!
who in 2020 who is listening to these beautiful melodies to pass the quarantine
Powerful! I liked it so much that I'm watching it again....
2:32 ❤
❤ love love love 🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶
After seeing this video it totally makes sense that Mark left. He had his back to the audience the whole time
Yes🙃
I really do like this song a lot, and this performance is AMAZING. Love the harmonies at the end. Bravissimo!
I agree, it was great. To me, they should have given more importance to the harmonies in the album version.
Brandon's vocal talent Is amazing ❤️
This song moves me so much. It's so beautiful. I cry
The killers. Wow. His voice the tunes the album's. Love them all. Hope this covid soon goes away so I can go see them live. Are we Human is very poignant to me. As my dad died 7 years ago and just loved that song. Bless you all. Craig.
That was some great drumming skills...
Minha música favorita do mundo!! Te amo Brandon!
Sounds exactly the same as the recorded version. Excellent.
The best song that they have written! absolutely love it
Absolutely fantastic performance. Rivals the record version in my opinion.

Still an incredible song!
My favorite song on Battle Born. Really really great.
It's not awkward, it's his style. Learn to appreciate it if youre a fan.
For me, the best song the killers ever made,
3:32 The guitar sounds like Mr. Brightside, but the sound is different.
They are absolutely amazing live!
So in love with this group,.. and Brendon Flowers
goat!! band ever!
