The Canyons of Moses Coulee | Nick on the Rocks
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 гру 2024
- The story of Moses Coulee is a tale of two canyons. Geologists believe the canyon was created by Ice Age floods just 16,000 years ago - but the ghostly hanging valleys on the canyon walls tell a different story.

Nick Zentner is my absolutely favorite geologist from Ellensburg.
I saw a teaser for this with the director Brady Lawrence just 12 hours ago on KCTS. Glad for the new season!
Well put together.
A-Z let's Go!
Late as usual in the house 😉
This was so helpful to my understanding!
Thank you, Nick Zentner, for enhancing my appreciation of my adopted state. Plus, I've learned so much from you about our living planet.
Nick is the man! I’ve been following him for years and it just keeps getting better.
I have been watching Mr. Zetner for about a year now..absolutely love his Nick on the rocks.Watching all the way from New Hampshire
Excellently explained. Thank you for the scientific explanation.
And by the way: The Bible is not a history book! It does not provide absolute dates and figures. But the earth itself tells its story! Qualified and quantified!
I love geology--especially here in the PNW...
Great job, Nick! (I miss the red bow tie!)
I’m binge watching all of these new episodes tonight. Such beautiful scenery!
Love this new set of “Nick on the Rocks”!! Nick has matured and evolved from the original series and the video is stunningly beautiful! Thank you KCTS and Nick!! ❤❤
We were there yesterday ! Thanks Prof.Nick ! It was all of that BUT MORE !
Outstanding!!
Great video. I've wanted to live out there for a long time. It's beautiful. Just not much around.
Thank you. I learned something, and it was easy because your presentation was about only a few basic things--I just watched another video on Moses Coulee and got lost because so much was covered at one time. You are appreciated.
I was available for a hike that day! 😄
When you go hiking here, do it in Springtime! (Or Winter) Summers there can be brutal and you may encounter heat / dehydration stress.
I live in Rock Island and like to explore Moses Coulee as it has easy access. I was curious about how Moses Coulee got it's name and discovered it was named after Chief Moses.
Do you know where his tribe lived in the Coulee? This just makes Moses Coulee even more interesting to explore.
I would love it if you could go to the valley of 1000 devils, saskatchewan canada. What I could Google was not satisfying.
❤❤❤
knew some of it - but not all
Nick have you ever stepped back and considered the fact that the results from Noah's Great World Flood waters receding had caused those results you are looking at right now?? Do not be too proud of your career that you leave God out of your earths stories!!
Couldn't be as a global flood would cover much more than these floods did. The water erosion levels would make zero sense.
Impossible @paulthomas2337, the Earth wasn't made when these floods happened(according to the Bible). The Earth is only 6000yo and the floods at least 11,500yo.
🫰🏼⚒️🪨 I value these insights so much❣️ Excellent content, delivery, photography. Wish they were longer.
