Thank God for RobMotive. 4 1/2 years ago I followed this video to remove my hood bulge and then install aftermarket amber running lights. One of them burned out and I was trying to figure out how to pull off the bulge and remembered this video. Thanks again!!!
One thing I really enjoy about some of your videos is the leaf blower in the background. Makes me feel right at home since almost every time I decide to do some work on the truck and listen to some tunes, out come the leaf blowers!
@@RobMotive Rob, need your opinion: I was told by Toyota who will be replacing my front bumper end caps, that when they remove the grill to do this, they "might" need to recalibrate the Safety Sensor . Wanted your thoughts on this..
Ask them if they recalibrate the sensor when they lift it to do an oil change! I say no way! I’ve had the grilled off of both my Tundra and Tacoma. The system works just fine!! Are they charging you for this “recalibration”?
@@RobMotive Oh yes they are wanting to charge, but I refused the calibration. I believe they said it would be 2 hours and over $200. I have not had the job done yet since waiting on paint, but will let you know how the change out goes. Hoping no dash lights afterwards.
How are you? Just wanted to let you know I enjoy watching your videos on Tge tundra. I have one myself I just bought a few months ago. I'm from the valley too so that's cool that someone close has loves Toyota Trucks like I do. Thanks and keep those videos rolling
I’m looking for chrome bulge and surround for my 21 platinum. Do you know if these take offs are available or where I can get take offs from others? Thanks!
Watch those two long tabs on the grill when you pull it. You may be able to release them from under the truck. They had styrofoam blocks over them on the new grill...👍🏼
Looks great. So if I get a black Tundra and want to get it blacked out. Would you recommend a vinyl wrap or a paint black for a chrome delete. I was thinking vinyl wrap would be a less expensive option. Any other suggestions?
Im going to do this with mine as well. But im going to plasti dip the chrome. I just cant see spending 700$ on a grill when I can plasti dip it for less then 20$
I have a 2019 Tundra that I want to do this with and I was wondering which grill you purchased as a replacement? I was looking at the Sport grille on spark parts, but it says that I would need to add the new $300 sensor cover. Seems like your grille just swapped the sensor and I'd love to know which one you purchased. Thanks! Love the videos!
RobMotive it’s strange. I see Tundras around town, chromed out and it’s like yuck! Then I see tundras that are blacked out and I’m impressed. I just went with the Taco because it’s no frills, elegant and rugged with better fuel economy.
Rob, did the new bulge and grille come with the plastic studs? I have a grille and bulge being painted right now and waiting for Sparks to ship it and want to make sure I have all the necessary parts. I also opted to go form a limited grille to a TRD Pro grille, anything particular I need to know about that?
Hey Cameron. I’m not sure what you mean by plastic studs? I don’t know of anything in particular about the Pro Grille. I assume you have the sensor behind the grille?
@@RobMotive the plastic studs I am referring too are the pieces that snap the grille onto the truck. Yes my grille has the TSS sensor just like yours, it is a 2019 Limited. Sparks is saying it should all swap over to the TRD grille but I don't want any surprises.
Gotcha. You will have to reuse the push pins across the top and all the bolts. The hardest parts the two little pressure washers that hold the sensor on. I’ve seen people get them off, but I just broke the studs. Otherwise it’ll be very easy...just take your time👍
I clicked on this video hoping that you were installing a "hood scoop delete" type of grille product. There's nothing more I hate on vehicles than fake hood scoops. Know of any product out there that deletes these fake hood scoops?
Thanks so much, this was so very helpful. Put mine on in 10 minutes.
Awesome how you hear the dirt blower in the background!
I call that life😂
Thank you for this video! Very helpful.
Thanks for watching.
Thks for your video, well done 👊
Thanks for watching 👍

Glad to help👍
Thanks a bunch, was able to change mine in under 10 minutes at work. Thanks for the videos
Awesome! Glad to help👍
Any reason you can't just color match / paint the existing pieces and then reuse them instead of buying new ones?
Nope. If you have a good paint shop or are talented enough yourself, that’s a cheaper solution.
Thanks for your videos Rob, they have been very helpful for me as I am modifying my 2019 Tundra
Hey, thanks for watching👍. Glad I could help.
Just did this thanks man!
Awesome 👍

Lol! Oh yeah! Never fails😬
SUPER COOL AND OF COURSE AWESOME!
Yup! Makes the Tundra look like it should 👍👍
Fantastic video as usual. Thank you. So easy to do this job. 10 mins tops.
Thanks. Pretty simple for such an awesome mod👍

Very nice. Can't wait to see the finish!!
It came out pretty well I think 😁

Is it a Tacundra?
That must be a new model?
Well crap I always sign mine on the outside 😂
Lol!!!! I want to see that!!!😆😆
Very helpful, thank you.
Glad it was helpful! 👍
Looks good. Great job!
Thanks Jack. It’s getting better👍
That looks way better.
Thanks Dan👍
Nice 👍🏻 job rob really looks good

Great video Rob!
Thanks!! 👍
Looks good Rob👍🏻
Thanks Jon👍
I was going to watch gear runner video, on how to install a trd pro grille.......now I have 2 videos on how toos
It’s a two-fer!! Just be careful with Gear’s video though...I think he forgot to reinstall the flux capacitor 😆😆

Good morning! Very cool that you’re local! Thanks for watching 👍👍
You do kinda sound like ALF sorry but I did read a comment saying that you reminded them of ALF. Now it’s the first thing that pops in my head.
Hmmm...don’t remember that🤔
Glad to see that chrome is outta here! It hurts my eyes
Lol!! I don’t mind chrome on the classics...but not in modern day vehicles😁
Do you have a website we're you sell the parts you change, like the Hood Scoop on a Tundra???
I do not, but you can send me an email if your interested. Email is in the description of every video👍
Great job, the only hard part is trying to hear you over that blower next door. Lol
Crank up that hearing aid👂
@@RobMotive actually I should be wearing mine. Lol
Great video, I was checking out the chrome delete for the font and rear.
That's next.
Lol! Awesome 👍

You could try Sparks Parts for new. For used, try the FB groups🤔
Do they run those leaf blowers 24-7? id be out there smashing them
Lol!! Lots of stuff to blow around here!!!!!!😁

Yup..I didn’t though 🤔
Mine too..easy to snap off
Do they offer Toyota smoked grill symbol or use black tape out chrome

Sounds good to me👍👍
Great now you and me have a chrome grill and bulge for sale on Amazon! Lol
Lol!! I’m gonna do a 10K giveaway😁
Dam Neighor with lawn mower lol lols good
Yup!!! They love power lawn equipment down here!!!!!!😁

I just switched mine be out. Can’t recall what I purchased exactly, but if you search the channel you should be able to find the video👍
KNOW YOUR TRUCKS. ITS A TUNDRA!!!!!!!!!!!
Huh?
what did you use to lift or level your tundra? I's love to get the TRD pro fox suspension, but can't seem to do that.
I went with a 3/1 Ready Lift. 👍
I’m just curious why Toyota keeps releasing trucks with so much chrome. Do they not understand their audience ?
For some reason the automakers believe that Americans love chrome!! Especially tons of it on a huge grille 🤔
RobMotive it’s strange. I see Tundras around town, chromed out and it’s like yuck! Then I see tundras that are blacked out and I’m impressed. I just went with the Taco because it’s no frills, elegant and rugged with better fuel economy.
I love both!! Sans chrome of course👍
3/6??? You holdin' out on us Rob? LOL :-)
Lol!! Maybe 🤔
Already looks better. Antichromist here also.
Thanks! About to get even better!!!!😁
Hi do you have part number for this item? Or a link? Thanks
I believe the part numbers are in these videos. ua-cam.com/play/PLZwRjXq5VCe9rkseeglLjBW0sL1I4Lrm2.html
Tell yard man to shut off blower while you're filming
Lol!! It sets the mood!! Ambiance 😆
what website did you order these.
The info is in the video & description👍

The chromist strikes again, destroying shiny pieces of plastic wherever they lurk.
Lol!!! That’s “Antichromist” to you my friend!!!😆😆
RobMotive You’re the chrome-inator! No chrome pieces are left unharmed!
Lol!! I like it!!!!👍
Hey its tundra not Tacoma
Oops😁
ᗯOᗯ TᕼᗩT ᒪOOKᔕ ᗩᗰᗩᘔIᑎᘜ
Totally changes the front of the truck!! I love it👍
RobMotive how much did you pay for it mine are Crome and would like to change it mines are black
I don’t recall. You can check out Sparksparts.com for pricing👍
RobMotive ok

Gotta be honest...I like ‘em so I’ve never looked😬
How about a link to the part so we're not doing a 50 click search ? 👎
The part number is clearly shown in the video. Plug it in over at Sparks Parts and boom, you’ve got it. No more than 5 clicks👍
