woo ho!!! gonna be epic ride!! even your description sounds more thrilling!! have a safe ride....
Thanks man :) but most of what I talked about was the previous rides, next one would happen soon :D
This has helped me a lot for planning my trip, thank you
My pleasure mate, hope you have a great trip!
@@CodeNameABK I'm hoping so too, they'll be about five of us from Australia renting bikes and having 12 days of awesome ness
Good info my friend. Also tell about the details for renting a motorcycle. It's good you didn't ride the cobblestones in the rain...lol
Thank you saar. What info you wanted regarding renting a motorcycle?
We are Indians so always concerned about paisa. How much was the cost and what kind of documents do we need for it?
Cost varies widely, go to KTM muenchen nord website for cost of SuperDuke. If I add the link here, youtube sometimes thinks it is spam. Documents only your license and IDP (depending on your country of origin) and passport of course :)
okay...what did Nanda pay?
Everything has to be spoon fed! If you go to their website you will see many more bikes than just the 1290. He paid 600 for a week :)
Awesome video man really informative! Are you still loving the S1000?
Thanks a lot man, I guess you have already planned your Alps ride but I hope there was still some info useful for you :)
And yes, the RR is getting same amount of love since Day 1 hehe :D
You keep reminding me about this.. Now keep all documents ready.. :-P :-P
No, only one time for you! :P
Great video! I'm going back to the alps this summer. Love to ride in Italy. Did Stelvio last summer and I liked it but it's not that good. There are other places that I think is better. I rather like long curves, not the narrow curves in the alps. This year I will take my s1000rr and probebly make a stop at the Nürburgring. Can't wait!!! Ride safe my friend. :)
Oh man, Alps.. Nurburgring.. sounds like one heck of a ride! Have fun man!
And yes, that's exactly how I feel about Stelvio. It might be fun on smaller 125, 200cc bikes but our bike certainly needs long corners :)
CodeNameABK I bought the Bmw tail bag. I will put a drybag above it and also wear a Kriega r30 backpack. I think that will be a good combo.
With the BMW tail bag and Kriega R30, you will exactly like me on the RR :) There is one problem I faced with that combo is that I can never sit upright because there is no space between Kriega and tail bag. Not a big problem but can sometimes be annoying on boring highways.
CodeNameABK good point about the possibility to sit upright. I must look into that. I have watched your walk around video where your s1000rr has the tailbag and tankbag. The tankbag is a no no but the tailbag is great. I will also use a Garmin Zümo 595 which I think will do alot of difference than having to stop to look at the phone. Cheers! 😀
Since I couldnt sit upright, I would put my left elbow on the tank and relax on it :) And I dont use that tank bag anymore, I got it with the bike. And yes, GPS is very convenient.
The best thing about Germany, no speed limits :-D
:D
Amazing man.. I had a small sample of all of this when I went to Lake Como trough Austria and Switzerland, definitely something that all riders should consider to do, some road trip around the Alps.
I my self can´t stop thinking already to go back, possibly this year still!!
Thanks for sharing buddy, really nice tips where to go..
\m/ Ride in peace
You should go again this year, there are so many many fantastic roads :D And thanks man!
Great informative one ABK👍 Will surely help in fine tuning our planning. And yes these map routes with twisties is fun and really motivating part while in preparation time😂
Have to read this book for sure. What's your Avg kms/day in the last whole trip ABK?
Thanks a lot man and are you actually planning an Alps ride? :)
My average kms only on Alpine section would be ~1700kms in 6 days so close to 300kms/day. I didnt include long boring highways from Belgium :)
CodeNameABK yes for sure man but now only in the initial stages of planning and saving vit_m(at present having only equivalent to new cbr250r😂 have to cross cbr650f's territory soon😂😂 for planning well)
Thats cool man, you can always message me if you need any help with planning. And guess what, Nanda did that week long trip on SuperDuke with 2/3rd the price of cbr250 ABS incl flight, visa and all expenses :D with 650f money, you can plan a couple of month long ride ;)
CodeNameABK oh that's great man. Anyways I wish to disturb you in the near future man👍😊
Hehe, no problem :)
Great explanation of the routes, plan to do the Austrian and Stelvio pass soon. Did the 5 passes you mentioned in Switzerland 2017, good summary.
Thanks a lot mate. Hope you have a great ride through Austria/Italy!
Really halpful video dude :D I think I'll definitely go to a few of those passes! How much did it roughly cost for the whole trip? This will be my first big trip and I'm not sure what I should be expecting it to all cost! lol
Thanks mate, I hope you get to ride on some of them! As for cost, I never really calculated the total amount but incl fuel, hotels, food etc it might be around 600euros for a week long trip. You can cut the cost by camping but then you need to carry all the extra gear :)
Yeah I probably will camp anyway just to add to the experience :D thanks dude that's helped out a lot with my planning :)
My pleasure mate! And I am sure you already know this, but even camp sites cost around 20eur per night so its not totally free :)
CodeNameABK yeah I know dude thanks though :) I'm sure campsite would be cheaper than hotels and stuff though?
Absolutely loved watching this, great video! I really must ride there some day.
So glad you enjoyed it, I sure hope you get to ride there!
Are you from india?..
Yes
