Thanks pleased you enjoyed it 👍
too much adventure ... couldn't watch 'till the end, got scared ... you must be so brave and adventurous in spirit to tackle those scary asphalt roads in the remote swiss wilderness with only 25cm of suspension travel .... shocking daredevil ...
BRILLIANT. Loved this film. Looks like I now have a few more passes to add to my bucket list. I'm back to The Alps again next year for the Stella Alpino ride & as usual, I'll be extending to trip to cover more passes across Switzerland & Italy. Keep up the good work...

Wonderful presentation.... You tell a story not just mere facts... Good luck on your future adventures... I really wished you kept the twin.... But then you are probably a better judge of the bike than i am... Keep up the good work...in eager anticipation of future stories
I love your channel! Being in the states we have some very nice places to ride but very few that look as amazing as this adventure
Cheers Bill :D More to come soon from Spain with drone footage too :D thanks!
Now that must be the best scenery I've ever come across in a moto vlog. I am actually following to pick up tips on the AT reliability and comfort .. plan to get one after my middle east stint. Your entertaining presentation combined with the mentioned scenery is an absolute bonus. Do come through Africa some time. There we eat meat and bread is only a side dish.
Thanks for sharing your brilliant work.
Thank you so much! Would LOVE Africa, you might have spotted the clues to our next adventure! Very kind comment, the AT is really comfortable for me, great power, 100% excellent bike! All the best :D

What a trip! Beers and all
👍😀. Just found this channel. Fabulous vid Bonney lad. You had better weather on the Furka than we did back in 2011. Foggy as F!
Subbed and will now explore more vids.
Cheers ✌🏍😎
Ha ha! Cheers! Yes, we were really lucky as the day before it was thick fog! All the best :D
Waw great video. I've just finished a Uk To Australia ride and this is making me VERY homesick. Also that pass was on par with the KKH, stunning.
Cheers! Pleased you enjoyed the video - The Oberaar is amazing, thanks for comment :)
Amazing footage! I ride a 1992 bmw r100gs in Montana and have seen some great passes but your video made me a bit jealous. Job well done.
Thanks Alan, cheers for your commenting - I bet Montana is way better than the north east of the UK :)
Beautiful area
Nice Vid.
Thanks
Carsten Schulz cheers Carsten! Pleased you enjoyed it 😄
Truly funny and beautiful pictures... Cheers and may be .....a beer?
Cheers Uli :D Beer? Yes please!
Yes, KTM do provide a comprehensive tool kit, just what you need when you hit the rough stuff on the mountains👍😁. At least you have the tools too remove your wheel or adjust the chain, when your out in the sticks.👍🏍.
Great videos!
Thank you :D Much appreciated!
Brilliant. You have captured my home turf very well. Great pictures. Just as info; those concrete pillars at San Bernadino are "airsupply" chimneys for the San Bernadino tunnel.
Ah! Got it! Thanks for that Marc, and cheers for your comment :)
Great Video and fantastic footage . Just ordered a new Africa Twin. Your channel helped me with the decision. Went for DCT, as liked it on this bike. Now off for lunch ..... Cheese on Toast😂. Cheers Dave
Excellent news! Congratulations David, you will have a great time :D Thanks for commenting - Bread for lunch? Oh god..... no...... !
Nice ride!
Cheers! :D
Nice video. I like your sense of humor. Funny it is 1 day away from my house and I was not there, yet. Probably it is too close. For now Bosnia and Herzegovina in September.
Thanks for you comment :) Good luck on your adventure!
Really enjoyed the video. If you ever find a decent breakfast in Europe please include it in one of your vids!
Bill Buckingham cheers Bill! Yes, I will - might be a long wait! Thanks :)
i want to go to the alps so bad !!! its just so far away from the USA :( well done guys cant wait for your next Adventure cheers
Yeah, a little too far from the US, but you guys have GREAT places to ride :) Swiss Alps are awesome - Cheers for commenting!
I want to go to Utah and south America, but live in Europe... maybe we can switch one day
A really enjoyable video - love your style. Actually - I like the bread (in France) - the breakfasts in Austria and Switzerland I found a little odd - in Heilinglblut at the foot of the Grossglockner they had Black Forest Gateau along with bread for breakfast. Yep, I'm subscribing too. Many thanks for the efforts.
Cheers Stuart! Thanks for the comment and the sub :D More silliness coming soon - Like the sound of Gateau for breakfast! Thanks.
Glad you find some of the nicest pass roads of Switzerland. Your vids are so freaking enjoyable to watch, although i know these roads in my country well. However, i bet the bread will be unforgettable as well ;-) next time try to get some famous Swiss cheese on it, or Swiss chocolate. As i can see you got at least some Toblerone back home. Not the worst thing to carry home from Switzerland ;-)
Cheers René pleased you enjoyed this, you're the only person that has noticed the Toblerone!!! Cheers :D
Is that the bad guy from "Die Hard 3" ? ...lol . good video though.. I put that ride on my bucket list...
Jim Dandy ha ha!!! Cheers Jim! Thanks for comment:)
Really enjoyed that Video , brought back memories of our trip to Austria/Switzerland/Germany last year , only we had the hard slog to Landeck Austria through Holland and Germany . Amazingly we stayed in Andermatt for 3 days at the hotel with a bear on a bike can't remember the name .We also did the Furka Pass and the Sustrans Passes .ANDERMATT was pretty , but expensive .
BOB
Cheers Bob! Yes, Andermatt is big-bucks. We managed 2 nights before the prices started to hurt! The van worked well, we dont really enjoy riding forever on motorways and didn't really have the time for the town roads all the way there and back. Wonderful place, the Swiss Alps are amazing :D Cheers Bob!
Great video. Got any bread.
WTH is with all the bread?! Don’t they have real food? lol
Did all them 2017 August and fried it was hot! Had a great time in Baden music festival on my return to Zeebrugge
I drank Eichoff beer in Switzerland in 1968. Good to see it is still on the go. Exchange rate then was 4 francs to the pound just after devaluation. Great country for motorcycles but anyone breaking the rules sticks out like a sore thumb
Great video! Real pleasure to watch. Can you share location of this off-road section?
What perfect timing, I'm in England and have just started seeing and english girl who lives in Switzerland, I also have a red AT so shes invited me to go over whenever i want but what's the best time of year and do you need to buy any passes like road tariffs etc. I'd be on my own so probable ride there through the tunnel but I've never done it before so have no clue. Never even ridden on that side of the road. From the Midlands is it a one day trip or would you split it into two?
Hi, you need a vignette to ride on motorways in Switzerland - At the border you can buy one, stick it on your bike screen and off you go. You do not need one if you avoid motorways, but it's the easiest way in to the country. We went in late June, the passes open about early June so by early July its great weather!! Stay away from August at all costs, too busy and roads are mobbed. Take plenty of money! Switzerland is expensive! Its about 600 miles from Amsterdam to the passes, break this up or you'll be brain dead riding 600 miles of motorways! Have fun, and enjoy - ride all the passes BOTH ways for the best experience :D Cheers!
Warning: when you see this video you want to go to a trip right away so caution is advised :D
:D hahahaha amazing!
this reviews and travel videos give a lot of work and they have to be apreciated when they imparcial and with excellent quality.. even more with a bit of fun :D
Mario ha ha!!! Cheers Mario 👍
Soooo true!
Really curious where you found that bit of 'offroad'! Looks like a brilliant little road
Long time ago now, think it was the other side of the Grimsel Pass, about half way down, sorry I cant remember exact location! Cheers :D
Cant believe i did 1500 miles in Switzerland in a week, all the passes you did and more, the Swiss side of the Splugen in the pitch black, and knew nothing of the secret road on the Grimsel. Gutted to say the least! Ah well, mebeez ill have to go back
Only by chance we were told about it! We would have missed it too - 1500 a good ride, nice one!! Cheers :D
Great Adventure. This is on my bucket list. Did you find any or many dirt roads? I would love to travel some from small village to village by dirt if possible.
Robert Lynn thanks Robert! The Swiss don’t like you riding off road, if that’s your thing you’d be better off in Italy - loads to explore without getting wrong! Cheers!
Nice riding, I love the Alps and if I go, I prefer to stay in Austria, Switzerland is sooo expensive. It's not worth it. For the last two years, I have been going to the Pyrenees. Love it more and especially the Spanish side, great(er) food, great roads and if you stay in Andorra you fill up your bike, virtually for free. The Alps is more beautiful but try it, you will love it.
Thanks for your comment, yes, Switzerland is so expensive! But for the short time we were there it was worth it it have such amazing roads on our hotel doorstep. We are going back to the Pyrenees hopefully soon! All the best, cheers !
This just what I'm looking for. I hope we will enjoy like you. Can tell me where was the last place you didn't mention it?
Hi, hope you have a great time. The off-road area was somewhere off the Grimsel Pass - I dont know exact location, cheers :D
Brilliant trip mate , how long were you away for and did it cost much to do it ? Keep up the good work , you’ve just gained yourself a new subscriber
Cheers Gary :D We were in Switzerland for a full week, but given changeable weather, stay longer if you can. It's not cheap there - in fact, damn expensive! Allow £75 p/n accom, pp, and £50 pppn for beer, food, fuel. All the best Gary!
Fantastic trip would love to do one day!! (If the wife let's me)
Cheers Jamie, best of luck! :D
Well all the roads and scenery were great but I was expecting you would talk about these bikes?? Which one is better?
In these situations, it's difficult to choose as both were great, but I'd go for the Honda with it's stronger wire wheels and it is more off-road focused. If you're staying on tarmac, the KTM. Cheers :D
Have revisited this video as it’s one of my favourites. Still can’t believe you find riding a motorbike around Holland boring. You must have done it very differently to the way we did it in 1993! I can’t remember most of it but have been assured I had a good time! You should check out the latest release from “Tins on Tour” to find out how to do Amsterdam on an Africa Twin properly! 😎
I was never really happy with that comment, as I didn’t have enough time to explain…. We are always short of time on our bike adventures. So to get some well needed miles in, we tend blast down the motorways to get further south ASAP. This inevitably means we never explore Holland / Belgium at all. We’re usually limited to 9/10 days and two of those are taken up by the return ferry, so only having an actual week riding, we push hard for the first day or so. Its a bit like Euro bikers coming to Northumberland via North Shields ferry terminal; they jump on the A1 to get to Scotland ASAP, missing out on some fantastic roads and scenery. We’re just as guilty! Thanks for watching, pleased you enjoy the vids :D
Thanks for explaining. And I thought it was just your cover story! People seem to ignore Brittany in much the same way, even though it is a really great area in which to spend time. No need to roll off the ferry and blast southwards!
@@aunoates6617 Yeah, I have a tendancy to push too far! Cheers
Motoeuro Hi, don’t know if you’ve seen this film yet from AlexonRoad but I thought of you when I watched it. He’s done exactly what you recommended and started his exploring right from Newcastle. Thanks to his generous efforts with translation we can really feel his appreciation of the sights and culture available below Hadrian’s Wall...An adventure on our doorstep!
ua-cam.com/video/j4H5up-VBDs/v-deo.html
@@aunoates6617 Cheers! I must watch this!
When you took the ferry where did you depart and where did you arrive?
We departed from North Shields, (Newcastle) to Amsterdam then drove stright to Andermatt :D
Can you tell me where the "off road" section of your video is please? I watched this, then went and did it a couple of months back. Going again next year !!
Thanks for commenting :D It's down near the bottom of the Grimsel Pass, sorry dont know exact road numbers. Found it by just looking at the Nav Map for roads off the beaten track. Cheers!
check out at 7:00. Breathtaking view. Love this video
Hope you done the old cobbled st gotthardpass :)
Think so! Seems so long ago now - So amny amazing roads :D
