I bought a black one for work some months ago, and it must be one of the best things i ever bought. It holds my water bottle, winter hat and gloves, EDC (pocket knife, tactical pen, multi-tool pen, etc.) As a hardcore cyclist (i live in the Netherlands) you barely even feel it on your back while riding. I found it so useful, i also bought a dark camo version just for day trips and amusement parks. Definitely preferable over those oversized backpacks. I also like the velcro strips for velcro morale patches, so you don't have to stick pins through the fabric of your pack
For those in Europe, there is similar bag by Brandit called US Cooper Sling, wouldn't be surprised if it's actually even the same bag but just rebranded for Europe.
@@TheSurvivalOutpost No problem, thank you for making a review that I actually found useful. I'm planning on getting this for my EDC just because of this review
I know this vid is 5 years old now, but just wanted to say thanks for taking time to point out the organizational capabilities of this bag. That's what I am looking for - elastic straps and many compartments.
These are one of my favorites, I bought 2. The main compartment fits 6 AR mags neatly and I keep a box of 100 pistol rounds in the front pocket. And a pistol in the rear sleeve. Plus a flashlight pouch and knife pouch added. Also in the front addded pistol mag pouches Grab ~n~ Go! ....It gets heavy though.
A waist bag and backpack. More for URBAN CCW than Bug out. First Responders started the trend. EMTs. A lokal gun store started carrying them. They had two sizes. 4 or 5 different colors. The strape system is cool and access to a concealed can of mace or brass knuckles is easy. What sets these apart is they strape over one shoulder and there is a sling that comes under the other arm pit. The issue I have is the smaller stabilizing strap chaffes the under arm area. They should lower the snap connecter or move it entirely to the waist.
I was wondering where you were going with Star Wars and a bag, then really chuckled at the crossover to the dark side part. Nice work on the review as well!
Nice review. Can this fit a standard sheet of paper? Sometimes I have to carry some documents in a folder but I dont want to have to carry an old full sized backpack just for them
Great question! They are hard plastic buckles, been using this pack for over a year, never an issue. It would take either extreme cold or direct action to break.
+Turtle Bushcraft Glad you liked it, one factor to note...other packs in this price range have crappy straps that tend to dig into your shoulder. This one has a nice wide padded area that prevents any chaffing or irritation during wear
Considering this for an EDC or small hikes in the area, but I haven't seen any good views of the top. Is there a spot for a bite tube to be fed through with a small bladder, or would I have to leave the zipper slightly open?
Great question, you would have to leave it unzipped a bit for a hydro hose, it's not designed with a cutout for threading a hose. But easily enough you can add one in that main divider.
Good review! I have this bag as well as the Outlaw Gear Slinger Pack. The outlaw works well as a camera bag too, since it slides around front and the main part completely opens on the side. I put a padded camera bag insert inside and viola! So many uses and a great price. Sub'd ya.
how does the quality of this bag compare to the Red Rock sling bag? it's basically the same design exactly, both made in China, but for the extra 10 bucks is it slightly better quality?
+Michael Zaloom I've seen the Red Rock Rover for sale, but never compared the two packs. They look pretty much the same but size is a slight difference. The Posse retails for $29.95 and the Rover is about $32.
Check out my Get Home Bag video. Your EDC can double as a Get Home Bag, but there's a few variables to consider. Things such as how far you will have to travel to get home or to a safe location. Are you close to home, if so that sling bag works fine. What if you are further away? What if you need to pack a shelter? ua-cam.com/video/RQnCDHmdw0w/v-deo.html
I am looking into a good edc bag. I have hard that this bag does not fit a larger person. And it's made cheap. What is your thoughts after having this some time?
Designed in the US, made overseas. I'm still using mine, not having any issues. Wife uses it during the week for toting the kids stuff. Good deal for the price IMO. Not sure about how it fits tall people. I'm only 5'7
Yep I'm a transplant from another state. Thanks for asking tho, it's a honest question. These days I know my AO much better so I got rid of the large compass and replaced with a button compass that hangs from a d-ring in my pocket.
..i'm quite interested to buy like that if it culd fit a laptop...coz it looks like the one in lazada ---> www.lazada.co.th/vr_tech-15-sling-backpack-military-tactical-bag-hiking-camouflageday-pack-black-intl-10474983.html
Perfect answer... admit the mistake and learn from that mistake! - When I lived-worked in India, no matter how many times I had been places, it was so easy to get turned around, especially at night (I'm a bodyguard and we worked mostly at night with that particular client). Pune city was small only 5.7 million compared to Mumbai-Bombay which we visited often of 21.5 million. A compass and map is essential.
From the UK, it's kind of worrying that when demoing the ease of access aspects, the first item mentioned was your "concealed carry weapon" 😨 I hope I never live in a country that even *needs* personal weapons on an everyday basis, let alone puts them first in order of priority. Sheesh.
We live a multi ethnic very diverse nation with a massive population and crime comes with the territory. Violence is part and parcel of the human experience as I'm sure you can see in your nation with the knife crime and the recent murder of a politician at church. I have a right to self defense and I intend on exercising that right if the situation arises. That being said, I would do not wish to cause harm or injury to anyone and it would be a tragic matter all around. However if its my life and that of my family on the line, I will make that decision as I'm sure you would do the same. Cheers
YOU CAN AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH ME....BUT YOU CANNOT ARGUE IF YOU WEREN'T AROUND . I like the size of the bag however, it is UNCOMFORTABLE. This is bag NOT designed FOR ANYONE WHOSE body size is above ANOREXIC and if your height is like that of LeBron James. The only PLUS about this bag in MY OPINION is the hook and loop.
+Kynndredd SYNNE I don't consider myself anorexic, I'm 5'6 180lbs with fair amount of muscle from powerlifting for the past 5 years. This pack was a good fit and comfortable for me, but of course your experience may differ. Did you have issues getting the straps to fit you, what exactly was the issue?

Glad it was helpful! The Posse is a great bag which I'm still using to this day!
I carried an edc bag like this in to work every day for 20 years great carry option
Low profile and discreet...can't beat the good ole edc bag

Sounds like a good design. Do you have any pics?
I just ordered one online recently for work can’t wait to try it out. Nice 511 tactical hoodie brotha
Awesome, you'll definitely like it! It's cheap, durable and does the job well. Still rolling with mine. Reminds me I need to replace that hoodie lol
Today’s my first day carrying it I love the bag nice set up it will last for awhile. Haha the hoodies awesome 511 tactical makes good stuff
Dark Zone Survival I think I’ve had mine for 3 years now...it will def last, glad your liking it. Be sure to try the conceal carry compartment
I was wondering where you were going with Star Wars and a bag, then really chuckled at the crossover to the dark side part. Nice work on the review as well!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
A good looking sling pack. I also carry one to local places.
Its a great bag, I recently gave it a way to a friend who needed a sling bag...now I miss it lol
The ability to wear this on either shoulder is very clever. If you are a left shoulder person, the right shoulder just doesn't work, and vice versa.
I like so much this singal bage.👍
Nice review. Can this fit a standard sheet of paper? Sometimes I have to carry some documents in a folder but I dont want to have to carry an old full sized backpack just for them
Its 100% a tru spec trek sling bag. 3v is cheaper in price though. Might grab 1 since I have the tru spec already.
solid bag, just gave it away to a friend, but after years of use and abuse, it still looked brand new.
Would love a sling pack for work , except i need a folder / binder for papers so idk if it can work
Guess it depends on how big that binder is...check the measurements, you could probably store in the iPad sleeve: amzn.to/2NsmPep
MOAB 6. From 5.11
Moab 6
like it very much and I'm still looking to buy it but I can't honestly find it, I still don't understand its name
check out www.3vgear.com
Thanks for the video guy I came here to watch your review before purchasing
@the survival outpost how's the stitching holding up? I've seen a couple of reviews complaining about the stitching coming apart.
Nice review. Thank you
Good review thanks for sharing I like the sling packs.
Digging your videos. I've been looking at quite a few bids on this particular sling bag. Thanks man
awesome, thanks for the support!
Just nought one today and right away i jumled in to watch videos about it haha 🤣
Nice!! I’m still rocking this bag after all these years
seems cool to rush the zips to open, instead being gently
Some realize that the bag is representing your home, so taking care of it is like a must
Yes I agree
are the loops and hooks that are used to harness the sling to the bag plastic or metal? how durable is what im asking,
Great question! They are hard plastic buckles, been using this pack for over a year, never an issue. It would take either extreme cold or direct action to break.
Excellent video and a really good review. Scott
Thanks!
Great review, thanks for filming
No problem 👍
Nice review I'm like that pack just the right size for my every day carry thanks for sharing atb John

+Ron C That's good to know about the Outlaw as a camera bag, thanks for watching and subbing!
I have a small laptop and a large iPad. Would it work?
It will fit an iPad, laptop no
The Survival Outpost : Thanks a lot for the response! Stay healthy and happy quarantine 😄
does this stay on you tightly? lI'm not tryna have it flying around while im running
I haven’t had any issues but only have jogged with it
How many clips can it hold, Im thinking of visiting American and i need to be able to win any fire fights
lol
Fuckin lmao
Thank you very much.
Hey where was the small strap hiding when you had it just with the main strap??? Big wide strap…..
i removed the retainer strap if I recall correctly

Does anyone know if a folded sub2000 will fit in it?
If you compare folded length to the height of the main compartment of the bag which is 11 inches, you should get a good idea.
Could you do a 30 mile hike with this
Sure but for a hike of that duration, I'd have a larger pack with more gear since I'd probably spend the night.
Right on was thinking of building a EDC/Get Home bag

Cool bag! I am from Russia and i have bag like this!!!
Yes it's a very handy bag. 3 years later it's still in great condition!
Will This bag not take away your breath while doing things ? Just asking.
Not been an issue
...cool video, thanks for sharing this.

Thanks!

Should not be an issue.

awesome glad to have you as a new sub
i ordered one from amazon and it looks like yours but the buckle is different from the one on the 3v site. what do you thing?
+reyray6969 Might be a newer version on their website?
Did it come with the moral patches?
Yes all their packs ship with two moral patches. One american flag, one 3v gear logo
Lol "netbook". Now there's a word I haven't heard in ages
Will it fit an A4 paper inside main compartment?
Never tried, but a large Ipad fits fine. Check out the dimensions here: amzn.to/2hRMDPC
Thank you!
Nice pack! Would this pack fit my 10.5" iPad Pro?
I believe so. It fits a regular iPad w/ LifeProof case on it with room to spare.
According to Amazon you can fit a 14 inch laptop.. the measurements are 14 inches in height.. 11.5 inches in width.. 6.5 deep
Can you fit a laptop ?
Small netbook or iPad only
What is urban exploring?
exploring abandoned buildings, everything from old sewing factories to train stations and more.
Very smart
Looks like an exact knockoff copy of the Maxpedition Lunada and Malaga packs.
Yes it's very close in design, some of the internal is different IIRC, but I haven't owned Maxpedition packs so can't say 100% for sure.
Whats the total length of the strap fully extended ?
Not sure, I'll have to measure it.
+The Survival Outpost ...if you don't mind can you measure it ? I'm a fat guy and wanna make sure it'll fit comfortably before buying it. Thanks
Bottom strap is 17in long. Overall length of the entire strap (two parts that clip into each) is 37in
About the same statistics in my metro but I grew up here, maybe you moved to your location was trying to be rude just curious.
Yep I'm a transplant from another state. Thanks for asking tho, it's a honest question. These days I know my AO much better so I got rid of the large compass and replaced with a button compass that hangs from a d-ring in my pocket.
life straw or sayer whats the best ??? thanks bro great bag ill be looking in to this for urban use 30 bucks wow
Sawyer much better. filters 100k gallons vs 300. Has 3 ways to purify water vs one with the Life Straw
Cant go wrong with both!
where did you get the bag? is it a 3v
+reyray6969 Yes 3V Gear bit.ly/1Mf9Anl
...is that bag this L15.16" X W10.8" X D6.5" size? can it fit a 14 inch laptop?
Doubtful...fits a large Ipod but that's about it.

thank you berry much
thanks bro
Brand?

Is it to much to have steel d rings and steel swivels on any of these. those plastic ones are crap! Plus cable reinforced straps!!!!

Lol, it survived somehow. Getting your gear dirty is part of the deal
Everyday carry bags are for every day carry I don't understand why you have a compass do you get lost in your own city
I have before, we have a population of nearly 700k in the Metro covering many square miles

Had one, loved it, was stolen out of my car :/
That's sucks, but at least the bag is cheap to replace
True! Ordering one now. I also have the Outlaw gear slinger pack which is great and use it daily.
Good deal, I'm been pleasantly surprised with 3V Gear and their products. Quality at a good price point. I still use the sling bag on the regular.

Nice but keep your weapon on your person at all times!
Not always possible for some people.
If that strap doesn't extend any further it will not fit a fat guy
