In all my years of watching content creators and maining blink, I've never heard somebody say blink isn't aggressive lol. Yes blink shotgun isn't what it used to be.. but blink is one of the most, if not the most aggressive movement ahead of grapple and shiver. Between getting map control, pushing weak opps and just overall maneuverability .. I'd say blink is aggressive as hell.
Because good players will always punish it A) as mentioned in the video, your opponents weapons will be ready before yours and against good players this is 100% of the time B) blinking also gives an very distinct and obvious sound que where good players will again act upon it 100% of the time - to summarize, it doesn't matter if your opponent is 1shot but if they know what they're doing and you blink on them they're getting to shotgun you in the mouth every single time
You're talking about the average blink player... The player who doesn't main blink and thinks they can just pick it up and immediately think omg I can do anything. A good blink player accounts for the fact that he's playing against other good players and knows what kind of push to make. Nothing I said changes with what you said. Hunter jumps, Titan melees etc all have audio cues that doesn't really much in reference to your blink audio comment. If you're weak or tagged you should always know there's a chance for somebody to hunt you down. Nobody in their right mind is going to push every engagement w blink and land right in front of the enemy to get shotgunned. It's meant to confuse people and force people to do what you want. You'd be surprised how even with the sound people still get caught off guard when they get hit with a flank. Again as I mentioned it's really good for map control too. Endless vale for instance... Getting mid control is essential and blink can make that happen as well as split teams up
@brzrkk_7 what's being discussed is engaging aggressively with blink - and that overall is a bad play for the listed reasons. Yes, many engagements have sound cues but stasis titan shoulder charge, jumps, bakris dodge, grapple all only have 1 of the mentioned weakness or neither of them "a good blink player knows what kind of push me to make" that statement is correct but it's not what's being argued. What's being argued is the fact that blink is overall not an aggressive tool to just push people. Finally, you're last point is an argument for taking map control quickly, flanking, and movement - not pushing aggressively to secure a kill
Some maps have invisible barriers that either throw you against the ground (used to kill you), fling you in the air, or eat your blink (you don’t move).
Played void with Astro time to time until new hp numbers in crucible and came to a conclusion that i like T.Steps with blink more. Like all you lose is 1.5m of distance (Tested it solo walking/running/run and jump etc.) and faster blink cd's but T.Steps just gives you much more in return with slides, reloads and faster speed, all i think is that you should main Blink with Astro only with Nova Warp super.
The one time I used blink warlock was against ifrostbolt*. Just got a pretty decently rolled astrocyte and wanted to try it. Lost by 70. Was like my third game on too
A Primary with Pugilist / Swashbuckler would really synergize with this build :D IMO Devour is wasted on Lightning surge without Spirit of Syntho or Claw. The chances of getting a Surge kill aren't very high, especially with Thorn potentially stealing KOs. Hellion or Bleak Watcher (especially with artifact perks) works much better.
No disrespect truly, but you don't know what you're saying, like at all. 1 body shot from anything that isn't a side arm followed by a surge melee will kill them 100% of the time.
I suck nuts with shotguns. They just never kill for me but I get cross-mapped it seems by everyone else. I also can’t really gauge where I’ll land when I blink. So I can’t do much here. I don’t get the shotguns, man. What’s the secret? I know the frames and god rolls. I have many. I just don’t understand it.
astro is mid. Whole perk slot for blink is questionable. Regular blink is solid id rather have additional handling and reload or a futher slide than a better blink.
Indeed, the best movement class is Stasis Titan...
💯 absolutely atrocious trying to track the slide and melee lunge
cryo sprint canceling my beloved
@ohm-e- we love cryoskating
I love getting speed blitzed out of existence by a mac 7 hunk of armor.

Yeah, endless vale is the biggest perpetrator of this, I recommend going into a private match and trying out different areas.

Should try Astro blink w/ stormcaller super
Merry Christmas Dalt! Love your videos and community. So glad I got to know you via Twitch this year.
@VermontJones Merry Christmas Vermont! Hopefully will stream more in the new year.
Well strand hunters can grenade snap skate so now what
Stopping someone from saying first. I love your videos Dalt! I’m always excited for what’s gonna come out next. Blink warlock is my favorite setup too
first
It's also really tough to blink GL as well
you should add in grapple skating to comp for no dash. Slide-grenade-jump you get the same boost as ic dash

Astro is too good nice movement plus makes everyone volatile
Great gameplay
Could you use incinerator snap and snap sakte too

No
Lightning surge kills are free as hell wtf? 😂

to nail your landings just look down after you blink
Aim for the belly and go into a private match with a friend and looks at what ranges you need to be at
@ Great idea. Thanks.
I thought it was dawn blade warlock that’s something completely different
Fye

Hunter hasn’t been the best movement class at any point in destiny 2 lmao
Exactly, that's a problem. Why do we even bother being forced to invest in mobility, when we don't get to be any quicker or more mobile?
@ so we can get fucked by every single resil gated weapon in the game cuz of the really awesome way they designed armor stat weighting 😎
from the title saying it’s not hunter, I don’t think hunters been the best movement class in a long time it’s always been lock or titan
Yeah, last time hunters were on top was prime strand hunters, but hunter movement has been pretty basic ever since.
It's titan don't lie
Definitely cap lol
