It can but I don't find it works all that well for the main reason it doesnt stay on as long. Pure silicone lube is the longest lasting and best I have seen thus far. Specifically, GloFX flow grease and Swiss Navy.
You should lube it as often as you feel it start to get dry or brittle. I grease mine before every flow. I don't recommend using anything other then silicone due to how long it stays on the whip. Silicone is not easily washed away and it sticks to the fiber better. Certain brands get too sticky though (like astroglide) so I prefer and recommend GloFX Flow Grease and or Swiss Navy. I highly discourage against using any chemical lubricants on your whip as this can be toxic to the skin. Only use a personal lubricant that is meant for the human body. 💓
This is an older video of mine and I learned by using KY water based, and also a coconut oil and water combination its just not good lol. Gotta remake this one.
Brittany S Try boiling some water and dip only the fiber into the water, do not submerge the head. Then pull after about 5 to 10 seconds and wrap in a tighter circle then store in bag to hold shape until cooled. Repeat as needed.
Fiberflies doesn't grease whips. I don't recommend putting any grease or lubricant on your whip because it doesn't actually stop it from tangling and the grease or lubricant will get all over your clothes. If your whip is tangling you either need to wash it, make sure you're wearing synthetics without any skin exposed/jewelry, or you've built a static charge on it that you need to neutralize.
I don’t have a micro fiber towel . My whip is stinking together so bad even after I brush it out …. Suggestions?!?
I heard from a pixelwhip Q and A that coconut oil can be used as lubricant for the fibers, what's your opinion on this? Thanks!

NicoleLove Divineraver I use GunOil silicone based lube. It lasts very long & gives me a smooth flow
How often should you lube your whip? And I've now heard mixed reviews on water-based and silicone based?

Is this something you should do when you first get it or just to clean ?
You should always lubricate your whip before you flow and also after you clean. Some lubricants can also clean the fibers too.
My whip wasnt greasy...
Its also nit very curly anymore
