Did you try your chicken rub or one of your more pepper forward rubs in your white sauce instead of salt and pepper

when you pulled the chicken at 155 internal temp to put the sauce on, what was the est. time that you had it back in to reach 165? Thanks! Trying this in the oven.

I don't put it back in. If you let it sit for a fewinutes carry over cooking will get it to 165.

What was the temp on the smoker? Need details

250-300 degrees is what I usually do. The higher the temperature, the better the skin will turn out!

Wondering how well this would taste without the sauce? I'm looking for a basic smoked chicken recipe.

I know this is older. But want to try it this weekend. Just getting into Smoking. At what point did you put the White Sauce on the Chicken? Also how much longer on the grill when it is put on?

Your take on Alabama white sauce has me curious! As an Alabama native I'm used to having white sauce with my smoked meats and I bet the addition of brown sugar and brown mustard really makes for a great combination. Cheers!
