It seems that maybe the carp take bottom baits more readily due to the fact that most people are fishing popped up baits like floaties

Hey Blackbearddubz thank you for the comment :) We would agree. Even though you can catch on floats our experience is meilies most of the way. atleast from our last 2-3 sessions.
