Very nice informative video, however I have to add that if you want to get from the Airport directly trough the city centre, you can take the 783 express bus (side note you can pay with a VISA card inside at the ticket validators). I do have to mention though, as the bus doesn't have a special bus only lane, it might get stuck in traffic for quite a long time.
idk, i rode the new 100 route (the route that replaced 783, it has the same exact route but the stations were shortened) and i experienced a clean ride
Try Bolt if you want to see Bucarest, but please take into consideration that the traffic is very heavy in Bucharest. Trust me! If you want to GO fast to your hotel, chose the train from the airport and the, the Metro train.
Great video, I will definitely rewatch it a couple of times to make sure I understood everything. One question if someone could answer, please. Can someone use also the Revolut card ( app) for public transfer / Uber payment etc?
hold on , what if the ticket officer doesn't come to you on the train? also is the only way to get ticket from the ticket officer? is revolut ok to use for this ticket?
Thx first for ur nice video. My question is: is there a 72 h ticket from airport to city and back? How much is it? Is it anywhere shops, restaurants or supermarkets possible to pay with credit card so no need to change money 😅
Hi! No 72h ticket. But you don't need one as the ride is so cheap: 5 lei (about 1 euro). And yes, you can pay by card anywhere, apart from local weekend fairs and traditional markets, if you happen to go.
I like how you actually show the walking directions on video as you're walking to the different areas yourself. Well done!
WOW!!! Super excellent!!! 😀👍Super nice Video! BIG LIKE!
Very helpful. I had zero information about Bucharest transportation. Now I feel very comfortable planning that part of my trip. Thank you.
So useful video, next week I will be visiting the beautiful Bucharest 🇷🇴 - Thanks for posting!

Does the metro ticket vending machines return change only by coins or also banknotes?
thank you for sharing!
Stations are very old built in the 1800, time to build new one, Samething in Hungary etc.
I hope I get to see the old ones before they renovate. It would be wonderful to experience the old and the new. 😁
@STUMAHA yes, they built new one in Belgrade I have seen those stations, i.e Bucharest, Zagreb,Belgrade, skopia(Skopje) of course Athens Greece..

Very helpful video, thank you 🙏
How can I change from € to Lei?
Use the exchange offices at the train station in Bucharest or anywhere around old town area. Because for the train you can pay by card.

@@deeajourney13 thx for the update
Is the magnetic ticket card you bought in the metro station also valid in buses?
No. But you can also buy the integrated ticket (Metrorex + STB) that works on all public transport
But also you can pay directly by card in the metro and 90% of busses, trams, or trolleybuses in Bucharest
