- How to use a Rivet Nut Tool! Once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty easy but when you first try it out, it can be kind of confusing. Hopefully this video helps you understand a little better how to use this fantastic tool!
Nice!! I just got one today and thanks to you I know how to use it.
Thank you for this. I just opened one of these, fresh from Amazon, and was looking at all the parts and wondering what I had. Now I know how to use it.
Where did you learn how to do all this? Very impressive!
My dad taught me a lot of the building stuff but the river but gun was all trial and error haha
@@Wildnorthwanderer If you don't try, you'll never learn! Many, many years ago my woodshed teacher told us measure twice and cut once!
Best of putting your hair up do it doesn’t catch in the drill and wearing footwear that if hot shavings come off won’t burn you
Ty
Make sure you never wear shoes when operating tools, especially power tools. This is vitally important.
Thank you! Simple and to the point 😊
Thank you. By the way you look amazing 👍
You can buy a rivet nut adapter for a drill. Way faster
Just a tip do not drill the hole that big your rivet won’t sit right and it won’t hold the weight. It should drill or smaller hole where the rivet fits snug so that when you do use the tool on it, it actually grabs and you don’t just rip it out.
Why don’t I trust this video? Hmm
Getting flash backs lol im a coach builder by trade and i cut my teeth on ply lining vans 😅 theres an air powerd version saves you the hassle lol
Thanks I'm subscribing now!
Put all your weight into the drill bit so when it pushes threw it dents your body panel
It's "through". Jesus I knew that when I was 8
Great video
Girl u make that look easy. I have no muscles to do it not even my brother from another mother. Like this tool must be defeated because it’s not as smooth as how u making it look.
Where you buy the bolts home depot and Lowe's told me they dont sell bolts for them?
The hole you did looks a bit too big for that rivet. And in thin metal, a step drill makes perfectly round holes, but they often come only with even sizes (4,6,8,10,12,14mm)...
Can you 'pull' the rivet out too much? Is that a consideration? 😉 Cheers.
It shouldn’t move at all once it’s put in place 😊
@@Wildnorthwanderer Cheers.
If you manage to pull the rivet out it is more likely to be an issue with the metal you putting the rivet nut into
@@mlee6050 That is more the answer I was hoping for. Thank you very much for adding your comment. I'll be going into (around) 2mm (0.079 inches) aluminium so hoping I'll be ok.
@@omnipresent1215 I not used one yet, I am mainly thinking like if metal is rusting that fix to
Good job great video Tha k you
What’s a good budget van to start with
Town and country/caravan
What's the purpose of that
.
.
It creates a much stronger hold than just using self tappers. These won’t wiggle out eventually but the self tappers are more likely to.
Also better to have reusable thread
I'm using them because I want my van mods to me modular and I can change things as I go and grow into my van.
Is it 4 sticking metal sheets together
