Country Squire, Purgatory, Whitehouse road, Banded Clovis, All Yourn, House Fire. Not all light hearted songs but all great Tyler songs. You can’t really go wrong with anything in his discography though. Tyler was born and raised about 30 minutes from me in Eastern Ky. His stories reflect life in rural Appalachia like none other.
That verse about smoking spirits, and the girl asking him if he knew they were bad for him, and he says up til now there wasn't anything he couldn't leave behind... Damn man that verse just blows me away, it's the perfect description of that casual first meeting. Just describes the initial spark perfectly
pay attention to his bass player (craig burletic) us tyler fans always poke fun at him bc he feels the music and his head never stops bobbing! for an entire concert even! haha😂
Love seeing people diving into Tyler. I've been listening to him a good few years now and he's the true voice Appalachia has needed. There ain't a single song by him I don't love to death.
This song instantly became my fiance's and my song.....it felt as if I'd written it myself; from the very first moment I heard it. Ironically, the second we fell for one another, the bullets flew around us. We've gone through the fire and through the flood but it only seems to make our romance burn brighter and hotter....Ive run across a county just to find her, faced down the local sheriff's department, spent the night in the woods as a cold front moved in, and even now am battling all the forces of hell to keep us safe. #LoveBelievesAllThings
Omgoodness!! I just found your channel! I'm loving your reactions! I'm from Pike Co Kentucky! The river he's singing about is the "Tug River" Another one of my FAVORITE songs of Tyler Childers is "Follow you to Virgie"! It's a melancholy song but ohhh so good! I lived in Virgie, Ky (the town he sings about) when I met my husband in Va! He followed me home to Virgie! We got married 3 months to the day we met at my house! The subject doesn't match but, the title does!
Well thank you so much Kimberly! Tug River might be the best name I’ve ever heard. That’s so crazy! That makes me wanna check if out even more. Thanks for the recommendation!
My favorite artist without a doubt and my favorite song by him. Everyone seems to notice that “thicket” part. Check out “Tattoos” by him if you haven’t yet.
Just found your channel and watched a few videos. As a writermyself i love the way you break down what the artist your listening to is saying and how you seen to genuinely appreciate the music your reviewing. Great videos Brother keep it up.
The duct tape is holding the LR Baggs Pickup who is the Sponsor. Neotraditional country bluegrass folk is the style. "But up til' now there ain't been nothing that i couldn't leave behind..." The most important line which sets it all up.
That boy is what I've always called a "backdoor man". Women love a man that loves women. While other men are smacking each other on the butt and chest bumping, a backdoor man is heating up the bed before he even knocks on the door.
I’m not sure if it is the reason in the case but a lot acoustic pickup replacements if your doing it yourself and don’t have the time or know how to install correctly they will just tape it in right there or on the bottom
Check out the Red Rocks version of him performing Down Low with Town Mountain, great collab of them or the mashup live version of out on a drunk and honkeytonk flame, good stuff ✌🏼
Damn mind boggling there isn't more Shake the Frost recommendations. Only a few songs have elicited emotion like it. Ripple by The Dead, Shake the Frost, and Whiskey by TBT.
Please please please react to any of these! Whiskey Myers- broken window serenade, the brothers comatose- tops of the trees, or greensky bluegrass- winshield. Any of them will do!
@@SongwriterReacts Yes, please. And if you don’t know, a banded Clovis is an old arrowhead from the Clovis era of Native American civilization, which was like 10,000 years ago. They’re worth big bucks. The song makes a lot more sense if you know that going in, lol.
I actually put about a thousand of those views on there myself. I like his song “Matthew. “You really need to listen to Benjamin Tod and the lost dog Street Band, if you like Tyler and colter.
What's up Burt!! Love the channel. Please check out Charlie Worsham ft Old Crow Medicine Show - "I Hope I'm Stoned (When Jesus Takes Me Home)". I think you'll love it. It's right up your alley
Tyler childers doesn't like Americana lol he's country lol he went off on the situation on a Americana award show, saying americana is country, and causing country music to die or be unreleavant
What are some other feel good TC songs I should check out?
Woodward creek
Shake the frost

C. Maynard 📍pike county👊
Hard Times,,, Rock, Salt & Nails,,,, and his cover of Time ( Pink Floyd) into Harlan Road is unbelievable

In all yourn,
Long before we ever met, I made up my direction, long before I knew the half, the half, I’m sure of now.
I love every single time he sings with his duet, his head turns, and he pays attention to stay equal.
pay attention to his bass player (craig burletic) us tyler fans always poke fun at him bc he feels the music and his head never stops bobbing! for an entire concert even! haha😂
Haha I'll definitely keep an eye out for him. Thanks Chris!
Gotta love the bass face
His voice is amazing also... it’s like a subtle angelic harmonizer
I swear it's impossible to watch Tyler Childers and not be mesmerized! He's darn sure captivating!
Love seeing people diving into Tyler. I've been listening to him a good few years now and he's the true voice Appalachia has needed. There ain't a single song by him I don't love to death.
Also if you ever look into the comments on all the Feathered Indian performances there's usually about 80% of us just commenting THICKET lol.
Haha I love how he says it!
He is my favorite current Artist. No doubt .
Becoming one of mine too!
i'd pay any amount to see him go on tour w the dead south!!
The emotions that this song conveys is crazy.

Literally anything TC touches is gold, but one of my favorites to just belt in the car is Shake the Frost. So good.
Paging Grady Smith 6:00
Man I listened to this song so much everybody I work with knows all the words too
Just recently discovered him , and wow , I'm blown away . This my favorite so far

That’s so very kind of you to say! Hope you have a great week!
The buckle he is referring to is an old red man belt buckle of an Indian head with head dress, “Feathered Indians”
That's so coo! I gotta ask you for all the deep dive info before I do another TC song!
Came here to say that lol
Check out the logo for the Savage Arms Co.. they also make belt buckles. Frathered Indians.
I saw Tyler open for Sturgill in Atlanta- wow!
Top ten shows I’ve ever seen
Great, Great reactions. Thank you Burt Byler. You should be president of the Tyler Childers fan club. I like your honest style. Thanks again.
Love this song! And that steal guitar is so great!!!
Congrats on 500 subs man. Another feel good song is all your’n. Keep up the excellent videos my man!
Thanks so much Bill! It's thanks to kind folks like you with all the encouragement and help! I'll add it to the list for sure.

Sturgill simpson at the brewery is absolutely fantastic. He is Tyler's producer and they were touring together before covid. Great Channel!
It's so weird I don't get more Sturgill recommendations. I'll check it out for sure. Any particular song? Thanks Eric!
Oh man, my biggest regret this year was not seeing Sturgill and Tyler on tour back in Feb
@@Chromatomic I'm gonna try and hit so many shows whenever all this craziness is over. I can't wait!

Looking forward to seeing y’all blow up!
It´s so crazy how things are going and it´s thanks to kind people like yourself!
Cheers from sweden,i love all this kind of music glad to listen with you too, i recommend, lone pine with skin and bones
Wow thanks so much Tim!
I go runnin through the thicket!
Slow clap for the Tyler uploads! Also, somebody said Zach Bryan.... agreed
Really appreciate it Joshua! You got it bud!
2.6k views as of today. That should change. Love your work! Keep going and the views will follow.
Really appreciate that Rich!
I bet the duct tape is where he wore a hole pickin on his guitar.
Makes sense
Hand hewn brimstone...pupils wide as backhoe tires the man is a geniud
If the "thicket" made you chuckle you should check out the compilation video of all the "thickets".
Just a heads up that tape holds the guitar mic in... Learned that from billy strings
I’m not sure if it is the reason in the case but a lot acoustic pickup replacements if your doing it yourself and don’t have the time or know how to install correctly they will just tape it in right there or on the bottom

You got it John! Preciate that recommendation brother!
I’ll second that one, down low is an excellent song.
Rocks and Relics. Great song.
On it! Thanks Nick!
The cleverness of his lyrics, particularly opening lines, reminds me of Tom Petty ❤
His band is called the FoodStamps [Fact] Check out I got high and I missed it
Have you listened to lost dog street band
Damn mind boggling there isn't more Shake the Frost recommendations. Only a few songs have elicited emotion like it. Ripple by The Dead, Shake the Frost, and Whiskey by TBT.
TC is the singer songwriter of the century
Good guy too. Does a bunch of stuff for Apalachicia. Like water relief.
I tought the tape is to put a microphone inside the guitar. I may be wrong, never played live or mic'd up.
Reason for the duct tape. Likely the insert ring on the guitar hole was rattling and being picked up in the recording.
The wife and i song, we have matching Indian head tattoos because of this song
It's called a smidget
The duct tape (probably gaff tape) is probably there to keep his very nice guitar from getting scratched by his pick.
Down Low with Town Mountain
Got it coming out tonight!
I used to have duct tape on my guitar like that. For those learning to pick it helps to keep two fingers there for stability and guidance.
If you know what running through thicket feels like you’d pronounce it the same way 😂
Comment of the year!
Pretty sure the duct tape is to hold the pickup for it going to the mixer
What's better than listening to feathered Indians? Watching this video listening to feathered indians.
Well thanks Cassandra!
Shake the frost live at red barn is BY FAR his best song
That's a great song.
Fun fact he has two songs that played on the show Yellowstone
Martin's have a wicked buzz sometimes that a piece of tape helps muffle. Go figure. Gotta put tape on a 3200$ guitar.
Please please please react to any of these! Whiskey Myers- broken window serenade, the brothers comatose- tops of the trees, or greensky bluegrass- winshield.
Any of them will do!
My drummer is a huge Greensky Bluegrass fan! I'll add all those to the list. Thanks Slowfz!
T.C. - Whitehouse Road
Whiskey Myers - Nobody Know's Her Name
Cody Jinks.....pretty much anything he does

Well thanks Collin!
2 haters out of a thousand isn’t too bad of a ratio
THICKET!!!
BTW, I like that black hat---so country !!
He duck taped the pic up into the guitar to make the sound able to be picked up by an amp
React to Banded Clovis by Tyler. My favorite song by him!
You got it Owen! Thanks for the recommendation!

@@redstateforever I had no idea. Thanks for that J Lange!
Theres nothing like a song about a junky killing another junky to take the arrowhead they just dug up so he could sell it for drug money.
Benjamin Tod. Zach Bryan. Now please. Thanks.
Got it on the list! I hope to get to them asap!
That's definitely gaffe tape but yeah I'm there with ya 😅 ❤

Why is it called Americana instead of country?
If you like songs about rivers you should react to the river by Jason Isbell
I wish I could go back and listen to it for the first time. I've been wearing it out! Probably my favorite song on that record.

THICCET
Check out Zach Bryan. Just do it, any song.

Yup, you were right. Stopping the song every 10 seconds is really irritating.
Duct tape for the mic..
Tyler childers doesn't like Americana lol he's country lol he went off on the situation on a Americana award show, saying americana is country, and causing country music to die or be unreleavant
