I always respect those who continue to drive these 8th generation Civics 👍👍 they still look great. The steering wheel in this one is weird to me. The wheel they used for 2010-2011 is a much better. And it’s nice how this Civic is super responsive from the 5-speed automatic to the throttle to the steering. And I agree, Honda vehicles, you can have fun in but still be below the speed limit. They don’t put that much torque in their engines for a reason 👍👍
Thanks for the honest review. I want to add that I have a civic 2007 myself, a Latin American spec, my ex has sport mode, and paddle shifters, and it’s lighter and has the FD1 engine and transmission from Japan, however she has not a governor that restrict the car to a certain speed, my car has hit 142 mph on a good gps, that’s all she can have, good car and a good sound! The 0 to 60 the max I got was on the 9 and 10 seconds, low mileage, depends on the surface and another things :) also I want to add that my civic has some Acura CSX quirks and features! Very good and strange version I have, also I want to add that the manual one, depending on the mileage and good service story, the 0 to 60 is up to 8.8 seconds! With paddle shifters maybe 9.2, but that’s kinda it. Not sure if anyone has made a better time than that, I researched a lot of this topic and different versions of the civic around the globe. My Brazilian civic is the best lol, no governor
my dad had an 08 civic hybrid. he had it 2 years and got it for free with 150,000 miles on it (from his boss). and sold i it just a few weeks ago for an 04 BMW. i said good luck. even tho i do like the 6 cylinders they have.
11:07 I feel the same way about the older XC90’s with the 3.2l I6. It only has about 245 horsepower and has a 0-60 in 8-8.5-8.7 seconds but it’s fun to hear the engine when getting on it. I’d love to drive an XC70 with one or perhaps the T6 engine which sounds similar but is faster.
I know I’m making a lot of comments but this car seems like it’d be fun to drive despite being slower, I wouldn’t mind having one as my first car. Looking at anything from Toyota, Honda or Volvo as my first.
Got a 2009 ak 70k miles. It has a small spoiler and a more style front end and back. Got it for 6k canadian$. Ac needs fixing and the front end is a bit messed up, has a black bumper, engine and transmission are all good but for me and my friend who drives a mustang the throttle is very direct and harsh. Like the thing wants to go. Im very cautious how i drive best i was conftable doing is half throttle even then i feel like ima break something lol. A few days ago my right corner wheel liner flew off appaerently. I though i hit a massive hole in the highway but looks like the liner was poorly mounted... the guys who worked on this car prior of me getting it did a pitiful job at it
I just did a draggy run in my little brothers old 2009 Mazda 3 with 270k km’s almost 170k miles and it did 9.2s tbh it’s not that good but for the mileage and how old and basic the car is, it’s fine and tbh while driving the car inside the city it feels effortless, on the highway, it’s so dang slow it literally needs to be at redline to pass anyone decently quickly 😂
@DMCarReviews thanks, plus it was my mom and dad's car. Back when my dad's 07 accord was not drivable, he took the civic to work. Some time in 2023 he got into an accident, good news my dad is OK, tragic news the civic got wrecked. But hey at least we finally upgraded to a 2023 subaru forester base model, along with selling the accord to

I love the older Honda generations POV drives! Keep it comng!!!
Thank you! Will do.

Thank you so much😎
I love these little Hondas
Still one of the best looking interiors
wouldnt be a bad first car or a grocery getter

8th and 9th gen civics and si’s are my favorite automatic and manual great cars

Nice! The inline 6 is the best.
I had this car back in highschool
Nice!
I have a 2015 Civic but it has a CVT transmission. It's been great, I wish I could upgrade in the future to a new Honda.
The hatch is where it’s at, especially if you can get the LX trim before the 2025 where the LX is sedan only
They all have CVT now unless you get manual transmission. They’re solid though, just stick to recommended fluid changes

I still think the late 90s and early 2000 looked the best but this one isn't bad. I hear the 1.8 engine was known to crack.
They are really cool cars!

I've had no issue with making any maneuvers at highway speeds.

Hey can you review another maxima or Altima with a v6
Sure! I'd be curious to review an Altima V6.
You should try an 8th gen si. Even better handling/braking.
I think I have a test drive of that one! It a few years back
The 8th gen Civic SI with that high revving 2.0L K20 VTEC engine was heaven. 8000 RPM in that thing was perfection.
Request: 2006-2010 Kia optima
I'm sure I could make that happen sometime!
Do a 3rd gen 4Runner if you can find one, please.
Sure!
Could you review a Volvo xc90 with the V8 engine if you find any?
Sure
How much would one of these be nowadays?
Like 5-7k
Are you legit flooring it completely? Half throttle and im already scared
In certain parts of the video, including the 0-60 tests, I was at full throttle.
How do you get to test so many cars
Different dealers and friends/subscribers
“Honda 0-60” video is 17minutes long
It's a POV Test Drive & 0-60
