- The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Alpha Haunt is a pedal for the fuzz connoisseur. Rather than honing on a few specific sludge tones, this stompbox gives players the ability to dial in anything across the fuzz spectrum. Watch as Andy coaxes some great sounds from this terrific pedal.

Good Lord. My wallet almost flew out of my pocket when I was watching this
mine too, damn.
Mine too, until it saw the price...and then it flew right back in.
@@Nightbreed82 It's worth it.
Andy is my go-to pedal source for pedal demos. No dad blues bullshit, he pushes pedals to the edge and uses modern applications to show their full range. Keep ‘em coming, Reverb!
Same here.
Sounds like Stone Age royalty.
Andy is a damn living legend, and he's looking even more badass as time goes on.
What I'm sayin' is, the fuzz is excellent, and so is the hair style. Hell yeah baby
Andy should further grow out the hair, put on 80 pounds, get a rad wizard robe mumu, and take on a gig as Buzzo's stunt double. Then the universe will fall into complete alignment.
Literally the best fuzz pedal on the market imo. Also this track is BADASS
Anyone else wondering about the cat?
What are you wondering exactly?
I did not hear anything that pedal did ... too distracted by the amazing guitars in every shot!! Best Andy + Reverb video yet
Some fair amount of time may have passed since you originally released this video, but I tell you, if I had a few dollars for everytime I watched your intro song for this video, I'd be a fairly wealthy man by now. Haha! :)
These gnarly fuzz pedals need to start adding presets
Check out the source audio kingmaker fuzz for that
Source Audio is all digital. Would be better to have a digitally-controlled analog circuit with 5-10 on-board presets, with the ability to use a midi controller to hold up to 99.
Yes that sound be a great idea
Rick C maybe the chase bliss brothers?
@rickc2102 I agree that this should be the standard. My delay llama extreme pedal is an analog circuit w digital switching and its perfect. Not a fuzz. But still the idea is great
When I hear the intro song. I hear the story of a demon or creature that has finally been released and is ready to cause some mischief
Your techique is so weirdly cool
Waht's weird in his technique?
Yep, not many players covering the type of genres Andy does with the corner of their thumb as a pick!
Take my money!!!! Holy hell that sounds good!
I rarely respond out loud to a gear demo. I definitely did on this.
I love fuzz. I love lot of options. I love big boxed pedals. What's not to love with this!
That first tone would actually make a great Nirvana tone. If tweaked, maybe even a good In Utero tone.
That enhance knob really brings it to life!
@05:20 when he hits that fuzz it melted my face with the fuzziest tone.. so sick!!
right? that’s the most badass sound guitars can possibly make
Great sounding pedal but good luck reading those knob labels on stage.
I know your comment is from a year ago, so this is really for readers now: they've updated the knobs and now they have a thick white stripe on them so you can see
Yeah, not good with the black-on- black; I bought a set of replacement knobs for a few dollars in ebay.
Even among Finger pickers, he's got a unique style. What a great fucking player. It's weird the tone is very cris, bright and biting, which is difficult to achieve when playing lead with your fingers. Bravo
Andy's face when he hits that dissonant chord = )
Too glitchy and garbled.
Maybe it would work as a post-modern art project.
🤢🤮
Fig Fumb is better
Walrus- Eons is better
Chthonic is better
Boss FZ-1waza- better
Joyo- Hot Witch- better
Fender Trapper- better
A lovely bit of Fuzz, I’ll have 10 please, Fuzzylicious! Love that splatter!
Perfect for Elder-type stuff
YES I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING EXACTLY
My favorite fuzz just got more!
Good for Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

clipping: on. very much on.
Best Andy's demo ever!
This is the best fuzz I ever heard by a country mile ! This amazing in a market literally flooded with all kinds of fuzzes and fuzz-like pedals
So Musey
That offset at the end is the coolest guitar I think I have ever seen, wtf is it
Really good demo that is a good sounding fuzz .
man that sounds awesome... great technique
Andy signiture guitar pick when?
I watch this mans chops in awe. I may give up the pick soon!
Kitty! ❤️🐈❤️

Hagstrom Guitars wow!! Andy great playing
Old Bloods lab in Oklahoma. Keeley is in OKC also.
Brian Unruh So is Walrus
Keeley is actually in Edmond, not OKC.
Edmond is 8 city blocks north of Walrus
What's in the water there?
One of the founders worked for both Keeley and Walrus
Cool demo, thanks
That Jennings..........OMG
What about the chorus effect of the original?
Shit take my money
Andy brought the sledgehammer with this one!!
Andy, the man, the myth, the legend.
Awesome intro!
Am very tempted by this ! Anyone know if it's OK after a buffer, I now a lot of fuzz pedals are fussy about that ?
I have this pedal - its better without the buffer but you can still use it that way - max out the enhance knob and back off some of the high end with one of the LPF's to compensate
This thing is awesome
Excellent pedal review as always, all i need is fuzz🤘
holy F-ing S.
that enhanced button is OOOOOO
What brand is the gold top les Paul and what kind of pickups does it have
its a "Redtail" - I never heard of them but looks like a Goldtop Les Paul "Deluxe" with those mini-humbuckers.
redwitch fuzzgod II is def sweeter
Gnarly
What kind of gold top les paul is that?
It's a Hagstrom.
It's a Redtail. www.retailguitars.com

Literally a day after my non-quibble year-long refund runs out on my Haunt they bring out a mega version. Of course they did.
Sounds like a lil like tool
Kevin Santillan Dammit you beat me to it
Seemed pretty not-very-special until that enhance knob. That’s so damn useful.
Great jam, brother! Most guitarist on UA-cam all sound like Peter Gabriel (barf) or that kind of adult contemporary snooze fest.
What´s the name of the song intro ?
Fabián Lugones I think he just improvised something. When he was warming up, it reminded me of Alice In Chains, but one it kicked in, seemed like a hodgepodge of stoner rock and grunge.
I love Andy's demos because when he's not nailing mini-covers, he's making stuff up that makes everyone watching look for a full song off his riffs.
Fabián Lugones Part of it sounded like Shine by Collective Soul, but then it seems to have gone improvisational.
Fabián Lugones I was just riffing with this great drum track a friend of mine made. Thanks,
Andy
Andy with the suede shirt.
Andy invented fashion.
Sounds great, but the knobs look like they might be made of a cheap plastic. How’s the build quality on those? The rest of the pedal looks dead solid.
Would you say this pedal can also give you the sound of an original fuzz tone from the '60s?
bullwhip johnson if yr looking for that there are plenty of cheap fuzzes that will do it
Max Feeney I'm looking for this, that and the other.
I can't speak of the Alpha, but my basic Haunt struggles to go to that sort of fuzz. This does seem more versatile than the basic Haunt, which is still quite versatile, but OBNE are, at their heart, very much modern, atl/noise pedals.
bullwhip johnson totally!! My bad
@@nickmason3468 do these pedals need a lot of volume to sound good?
I built a bunch, but I made one that sounded EXACYLY like that one. I think I had about $14 invested in parts.
hmmmmmm
I buy one of yours for 30 bucks
OK, let's see and hear it. The enclosure alone is more than $14 :)
I CRY BULLSHIT
Prove it. I'll pay you 20 bucks for a tutorial ya liar.
anyone who owns this pedal do they use an overdrive pedal? or can i simply get some drive gain with simply using this fuzz pedal alone?.
