Agree, it's ironic that Knuckles, who has been training for years, doesn't have a lot of combat abilities compared to Sonic. He's still a pretty fun character to play as tho.

If only we could play as the characters from the the 3rd update after the story, I mean I don't see why they couldn't do it like all the play has to do is just go to the menu and select the character you want to play. For example, I'll use Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, in the story you can play as Future Trunks and even after the main story is completed, he's still available as a playable character. So why couldn't they do the same thing for Sonic Frontiers? Now don't get me wrong, i'm not implying the 3rd update sucks no, it's amazing it's just the whole "only being able to play as the other characters within the story" thing that just gets to me.
You can replay as tails knuckles and Amy by going back to master king koco and talking to him. But you can't go to Kronos, chaos, and ares island with them.
How cool would it be if they added a digging mechanic? As Knuckles you'd be able to dig & also travel underground allowing you to avoid enemies & to pop out of the ground for a suprise uppercut! ✊🏾 🤕

At 999 rings the music should change to a more upbeat remix of what was already playing. And 999 rings should make u a smidge more powerful like almost overpowered but not really.
If there's any complaint, it's that for whatever reason Sega can't seem to ground their free range adventure class games to match pace with combat Beat em up AOE titles can be fast paced too, so at the very least I imagine that this engine would be able to mask Super Sonic sections with what Knuckles is capable of I wanted to be able to lift things and punt block with his strength. All the same it would make sense to have Amy's hammer contribute to her momentum both in and out of fights. That was one of my favorite aspects about the Advance games. She can't do all the rev up stuff that the main trio can do, but she is actually quite graceful when donking around Eventually we will get an Adventure 3 that taps into individual qualities. One that doesn't feel so tethered to the legacy of the Adventure series
I probably won't because I figure not to many people are interested in that part in particular, plus it's very time consuming (both in-game and editing). Maybe once I 100% everything I'll change my mind, or at least show the most difficult ones. Like the Mech Tails puzzle one is a personal favorite.

They need to release a patch where they nerf the bosses They are very complicated to defeat with the new characters and when I mean complicated I mean VERYYY Complicated And with Sonic it's the same, you take very little life from him even if you do a good combo And I think this drastic change in difficulty makes me not like this update at all.
@thenationgamers6889 Climb the fifth tower, talk to the Master King Koco and you'll be able to switch characters. By the way, there's a button on top of the tower that sends a pulley all the way to the bottom of it, so you don't have to worry about doing the whole tower again.
