Moving into Our New House & Saying Goodbye to Our First Home

- It's been a wild ride the last few months. We listed our house in November of 2023 and moved in the Spring of 2024 while I was 7 months pregnant. But, here we are at our new house and we couldn't be more thankful, God is so good ❤️. Thank you for all your support along the way and for supporting this channel. God bless & keep you!

Awwww, that was sweet that Binks came in to check out your new home. And Olive was so excited, went from room to room, checking things out, she recognized the smell knowing everything belonged to her family. I'm so happy for you and Austin, Corie, being close to your family.
You two are quite fortunate. Matt was indispensable in putting in a large dose of sweat equity. KUDOS.
When I was growing up, we lived right next door to my grandparents. After I was married, I lived on that property as well. It was wonderful with all the parents, grandparents and kids. Y'all are going to be blessed.
I grew up living beside of my grandparents. Now I live across the road from them and my parents 😂

So bittersweet. I remember when y’all moved in. It was the perfect house for you. This new house will also be the perfect house for this next season of life. Soon it will be filled with baby boy and visits from his little cousin. I know it’s comforting returning to a familiar memory. New memories going forward! God is good!

My husband and I have built 9 homes and remodeled several. Each time we moved was kind of sad but I knew there were more memories to make. We are through with the building part of our life and are settled into our home where we’ll stay until we can’t take care of ourselves anymore. Many blessings to you in your new home. It so happened that my husband's Aunt Vic knew my beloved paternal grandmother, Irene. When Grandma passed away, Aunt Vic gave me an old, carved wooden box that had been given to her by my grandmother.
Back in 1982, we were selling some old pieces of jewelry at a kiosk and met a stranger who knew my grandma too. We got to talking, and the stranger gave me a firebird pin that they were going to sell. It wasn't that odd, really; my grandmother knew everyone and sold produce from their farm, so many people knew her.
All these years later, I still keep the firebird pin in the carved wooden box. I feel that they were signs from my grandmother that she was still with me, even though she had passed.

I think moving the big items is the easy part. It's putting all the smaller items away and arranging everything that takes the real work. So happy for you two and baby ❤😊

I’m emotional too Corie, I cry about everything. But, those stairs would be scary toting your baby up and down. I did love the red kitchen. Red is my favorite color. And your son and Katie’s son will grow up more like brothers than cousins. Having your parents next door is a blessing for both your families. Now, we just need to get Granny back home. I’m still praying for her. These are the sweet years honey. One day, you and Austin will remember moving in this house WAY back when. Blessed memories. I love y’all. 😘

We’re currently selling the home we’ve had for over 26 years raising our two boys. Now men. So many memories. It does help to know we are moving to the country to our grandparents home and land.

I lost my daughter 9 years ago she was 36 at the time so I keep pictures cards birthday, mother day, valentines all kinds of cards she gave me thought out the years, I like them near so I reach out for them in the middle of night, I’m so happy for you guys on your new home your dad did a great job on the kitchen.

My dad was a medic in WWII and I keep empty cartridges in my jewelry box from his memorial service...my brother was given the folded US flag. He has since put that in a special container made for it.😊
