Alistair was born in 1980 in Holland. He owes his exotic appearance to his father, who was from Jamaica.
Alistair started practicing martial arts late, at the age of 15. Initially, Overeem competed in mixed martial arts. Overeem managed to win championship titles in Strikeforce, DREAM and K-1. He is one of the top heavyweights in the world.
