As a father of an 11 year old who thinks geoff wilson is amazing, im pushing him towards you. Calm, balanced, rational, and realistic. I appreciate you!
Baseball does have a lot of differences with other sports for what people want and value. That Gunnar comp was low, (An auction comp of $76 the next day) but still a smart pass unless you are positive it is a 10. I sell a lot of $20-$100 baseball cards, and I have never gotten close to Top value from an auction and find BIN is the way to go. If it isn't numbered most people seem to be chasing a deal and figure they can get a different one later.
Older cards seem to be the best? Even if they only grade at 9 or 8? I just saw a 1980 Topps Nolan Ryan sold for 22k and Ozzie Smith around the same. I have both of those anong others from the 70’s it’s just not knowing if it’s worth it to send them in for grading.
I have being buying cheap for my PC and to resell and/or trade since the 70's when it was only sports cards shops, sports cards shows and flea markets. One piece of advice is to go to areas, mostly rural areas for basketball and hockey cards at a value and go to urban areas for baseball cards at a value. I have literally went to rural areas, even small cities in Virginia, Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and here in Florida and i have found some bangers at reduced prices, meaning for 10% to 25% of their current value. Another place i pick up cheap card is antique shops, or consignment shops were people rent out a booth or space and bring in stuff daily to weekly to sell. I picked up a Bobby Witt Jr parallel RC that was selling for $30 raw, bought it for $2, graded it and obtain a PSA 9, because it was off-centered, then sold it for $87 Best Offer.
I’m new to the game, but I would think you would hold. And have enough inventory to keep moving more product. Find the right clients for the right cards. Only buy cards you can get for a steal and you think you could sell
@@TRIKESportsCardslol fair enough I recently pivoted from futbol to UFC cards and have been enjoying myself and been getting some great sales because the competition isn’t as high!
You said the first dealer, the baseball card dealer didn't appear to be a grader, because he had a ton of raw cards, but several of those raw cards were in Card Saver 1, which, ironically, are used for grading, as most collectors and non-graders don't keep their cards in Card Saver 1s, instead, top loaders. Just saying.
Love this video and the strategy! I just posted a psa reveal video doing a similar method with lower $$ cards. It’s a great way to make profit if you’re willing to put in the work!

I wish you would get more into baseball
Ton of baseball in this video so I'm learning slowly but surely!
Nah soccer is where it’s at
No, don’t go to baseball. All it is prospects. Legends cards are 😢
@josecarreras2757 I mean I don’t think so but that’s your opinion
@@Hero-3 not all of it they’re are players playing now of course and older players
Were you using card ladder for comps?
love the vids ... no goofy editing or overly loud sound effects, just a good video every time
Really appreciate that! Try my best to keep the quality consistent

Nice! Keep up the great work!
What do you use to check comps without eBay? Anything that is free and not 130 point? Thanks
Cardladder
Is cardladder payed or free?
What app is it that you're using?
Do a lot of these raw cards grade 10s?? Seems almost too easy and foolproof sometimes
Do you use eBay to see comps or do you have another app you use?
Nice work!
I am starting to collect anything for the sports training cards and I have little Pokemon trading cards.
Always watch your videos but particularly enjoyed the baseball card content in this one! I hope you'll continue to do so
How did those raw cards you got for grade do?
What do you use for comping cards
what app do you use for card value?
Baseball is a more mature market. Cards are probably more in line with what they should actually cost.
Great advice.
Should’ve done the Henderson pink, they go for 80-110 now PSA10
Baseball it’s because those a rookie debut out of update and those always sell for way less
Good to know!
8:25 15min you have had them cards for who knows how long now you want to think about it. because i found some cards that can pop! smh...
Great video
Bro you gotta keep doing lots of soccer
Definitely! Always gonna keep doing soccer
Was that a D. Adams jersey in the beginning of the video?
Great insight on a realistic way to make money, in the hobby
I'd look at ezequiel tovar cards be cheap could be best shortstop of this generation
What do you do If Cards don’t sell and How Long do you wait Before lowering the Price. Also when do you Auction a Card ?

I have a Barry bonds refractor I was wondering if you could tell me how much it’s worth
Is buying college cards/prospects really profitable tho?
Just like with any type of card, yes it can be…
@@TRIKESportsCards I guess I figured after the rookie cards are released, that these cards are MUCH less desirable.
What app is he using?? Anyone know?
Could be market movers maybe?
You passed on some decent UFC cards unless the condition wasn’t great
I 100% missed some UFC cards there. My UFC knowledge is basically 0

You pass a 1of1 in the first box
Damn

First box when you went in
:26 Anybody like me want to know what the printing plate 1/1 of was?

Agreed and appreciate that! I'll go check it out
Can you do more videos on how to profit as beginners?
Great videos
I was very upset that you missed sooo many case hits in that first table.
I feel the same when I watch my footage back for what it’s worth lol
Are you talking about the blue cracked ice adley and volpe?
The Tie-Dye Colby in a $1 box… $200+ card…
On baseball you really don't want the Rookie cards that say debut. They usually don't sell anywhere near what the regular Rookie sells for.
Good to know!
I hear you on Baseball; mind blowing what some are worth vs. others... Makes no sense.
Are you gonna do a reveal
Yep!
Greetings from 6 months in the future...Yikes for JJ McCarthy
I have a bunch of soccer cards I want to get rid of I’ll send them to you just tell me where to send them.

Just keep your rookies and put them away then you will know $
i have a 1/1 paul skenes error rookie card any buyers?
Baseball cards suck boring
Got it. I will make sure never to feature a single baseball card on the channel again, my apologies
Ignore the troll he’s just a hater
