The dealers prob work normal hours if not some OT. The reason they all look dead inside is because they literally do the same thing over and over and over again for hours upon hours each and every day of their lives. Imagine working 50 hours a week, every week of your life, and all you do is put cards on a table and flip them around, that is the extent of your full time job that you do for 2,500 hours a year, each and every second.... At real casinos, the dealers get to interact with people and get to people watch and talk to players, which has got to be a huge bonus and makes the job enjoyable. They get to sit in a room alone, talking to no one, looking at a screen that tells them what to do with a card... They aren't slaves that are overworked, it's their job that eventually makes them dead inside. I mean look how fast that girls demeanor and behavior suddenly changed for the better after he talks to her, as if it's the most interesting and greatest thing that has happened to her all day. It's sad to see jobs like this, but then again they signed up for it. They aren't slaves people, they are people like you and I making a living however way they choose to.
Dealing with drunk gambling addicts in a real casino is much worse. I would rather deal with a computer than scumbags saying "Give me blackjack" or "SIDEBET SIDEBET" for 10 hours straight.

It's not unusual to start work at 8pm and finish at 8am, then have to go back to work by 4pm and work to 2am etc. I agree she acted a bit silly but it honestly can be really tiring and even more so when nobody is playing haha, you just have to sit there by yourself until you get put on a new table
