My brother died, on his Harley one year ago on June 6th. A few years ago, we sat on his front porch at 2am and listened to your music. It’s a special memory. Amazing you release this on his anniversary, thank you.

Damn man, I lost a cousin that was like a brother (and so many friends) on motorcycle accidents, and yet I always made it out in one piece every time I myself crashed with my bike throughout the years. I 'm so sorry for your loss, it hurts like hell I know, hang in there!

Lost my twin brother in a car wreck when I was 14. I was in the vehicle at the time, along with my older brother and an older cousin. My twin was the one who was killed.

This song is easily in my top 5 favorites ever, and is also one that is on my DO NOT COVER list because the original is just timeless… until today. You absolutely nailed this. Yes! I'm also glad that radio stations don't have their grubby hands on this song, because they'd wear it out after the 300th time playing it on the same day. I have a short list of amazing songs I purposely refuse to listen to more than once or twice per year, simply for the fact that wearing a song out, is disrespectful to great music.

Patricia I have the same exact story. He died last week at the age of 55. Hadn't seen his daughter in 14 plus years, She's devastated. We haven't been together since 1994 but I Loved Him like no other. We could of had at least 30 more years together but now He's gone, He chose the drink and the drugs and Whoring around. What a waste. MEN GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER your family could still take you back, if FAMILY is what you want! Still numb!!

I lost my late husband in October 2022 this song, and they way you sing, it makes thing him especially because he loved to play the guitar since he was 16 years old he was 25 days short of being 53 when he passed away

Everything that you've done you have such an amazing way of pulling the passion out of the song I mean I'm taking nothing away from anybody that has originally song any of these songs but you blow it out of the water compared to them...I'm not bashing them at all but I'm huge on passion in songs you can feel so much more from a song that the singer had wrote and song compared to if it was a producer that wrote the song and they just sang it but every single thing that you do that's not originally yours is just amazing and everything that you do that is originally yours is also amazing! My ex wife and me divorced after 17 years we both battled with addiction I had to leave the relationship to save my life I now have a little over 3 and a half years clean I never stopped loving her I just didn't want to lose my battle August 14th our daughter went into labor but things went wrong she died twice and they had to take her uterus by the grace of God she recovered exactly a month later we got the call her mother lost battle I've listened to this song more times then I can count since then and like I am now I cry the entire time sleep easy Beautiful
