That straw tip is bigger than most think, about the hole lining up with the notch, great tip that many would never have even noticed or thought about, yep that includes me. I have only had this machine 3 days and I am still nervous, it is strange but for me personally it is a massive purchase and a lot of money, my nerves are what if I do something wrong, what if this and that, I guess it is normal, but man the coffees taste beautiful although I have yet to explore to many options on it.
Great video. Would you please do one showing in-depth cleaning and de-scaling? Also, how often should you do it? I'm on the fence with this machine as I don't want a cleaning nightmare. Thx.
Great review!!! Can’t wait for your next update! I have a Breville Touch machine and I cannot get a good shot from it no matter what I do, and I am using fresh beans from a roaster. So frustrated that I am considering buying this machine. I have been following your updates so I can learn more about it. Thank you so much for making reviews on this machine and keeping us updated on it too.
Hey man! I’m first again. After some time I’ve came back and I’m glad to see your content is still amazing. I personally buy my coffees but after seeing this video I might buy one for myself. (Which means you’d be an amazing sales man.)
Just buy one mate. Honestly I have had mine for 2 months its been worth every penny. You get a 2 year guarantee anyway. By that time you will have more then made up for the extra cash laid out. Ive had delonghi coffee machines my whole adult life tbh. They last usually anywhere between 6-10 years. This machine is fantastic. Easy to use and clean.
@@JimGoryeb That's a great question. Last I checked the regular dynamica has less drink options and also has manual milk for a thing amongst some other things that make the plus an easier and more intuitive machine. But sure, it All depends on what you need the machine for and how you take your coffees. But the plus with its LCD screen and more accessory options does make it a shinier toy essentially. But I'm sure you would get by very well with the regular dinamica.
@@matthewbailey6087 hey my friend, thank you for your kind words and your support on the channel. Unfortunately this machine does not have a built-in counter (at least to my knowledge). I'm not happy about it either lol EDIT!!! As the subscriber mentioned underneath here, go to the settings section and turn to the last page and you will find statistics
What's your grind level preference? What is the level that you set when making the doppio? It's very pity that they made it adjustable only during grid. I drink 1 or 2 espressos for the whole day and I need to wait now like a week or so to adjust it to my liking and that's to say the least. First time I grinded I just turned it from 7 to 1 and it stopped working, that's before I read the manual where is says that you need to turn it only during grind. Still yet to read the whole manual. I can't understand why they made it so complicated. My previous machine was the cheapest automat from Krups and it worked flawlessly without having to read a book to operate it. Hopefully after a week or so when I finally make it to find my preferred settings I will start liking this machine but for now I am not really satisfied.
Hey, thank you so much for this in-depth comment that will definitely help other people in the future! Unfortunately many machines that grind the beans for you are this way. My last machine is well which was a breville barista Express recommended not changing the grind setting unless the machine was in operation. I do believe that this is something that cannot be avoided. Of course, making the getting setting larger should in fact be able to be done without operating the machine but I still recommend listening to the manual. The grind setting is going to depend on the type of coffee you are using. My setting will probably not be optimal for your coffee but the one that I use is 4 and sometimes 5 depending on the coffee. My recommendation is to watch my first video on this machine where I Share my process in finding the best grind setting for you. Hope this helps!
If you adjust the grind level when its not in operation you are putting a great deal of unnecessary wear on the steel burs of the grinder, that is why it is recommended to be changed during operation. I don't understand how this can ever be a problem... Unless you are using 20 different types of beans a day (which wouldn't make sense), there's no need to touch that grinder once you've dialed in the machine.
@@ZenzDeluxe my experience so far is that even when I find do the perfect grind level and wait for a couple or few shots before it settles, as per instructions, after some few more shots sometimes I need to adjust to get the same experience. Even with the latest beans I used I couldn't get the ristreto to go as think as I want it to, so ce at 1 it was flowing like a river and I like it when it is between flowing and dripping, if you know what I mean. Otherwise yes, one gets used to the adjustment during operation but I still think that it is not the best thing, as I change beans often and would like to be able to adjust quicker but not a deal breaker
My Jura also has a steel burr grinder and they are emphatic that you only adjust while the machine is grinding beans. Mine is a little long in the tooth - 16 years. I find this machine very intriguing.
Mine produces cappuccinos with milk that are not hot enough. - Temperature is set to hot - Cup is heated - First executed rinse operation Nope. Still not hot enough and there is no milk temperature setting.
Thanks so much for your input! I find that mine are the perfect temperature. Of course, it depends on the size of the cappuccino you're making And also probably the individual machine itself. Of course, personal preference also comes into play but for me it's perfect enough to drink and hot enough to my liking.
@@FromADistanceJewelry I now have bought a thermometer for food and drinks and measured the temperature multiple times. The average recorded temperature of a cappuccino is 55 degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit). The optimal temperature for a cappuccino, particularly the milk, is between 150°F and 155°F (65°C to 68°C). Even when being gracious and compensating for thermometer error that is still 10 degrees too cold. Way too cold. I'm going to contact the company.
@@DavidKnowles Just for reference, i also just got this machine and mostly drink cappuccino's. Mine are literally scolding hot out of the machine (hottest setting), something is definitely going on with your specific machine.
Hey @@FromADistanceJewelry I only just saw your reply ^^. Thanks for that. It's great to hear your is the perfect temperature for you. Do you know what that temperature actually is? Have you measured it? That would be helpful if you did and posted it because what's hot for you may not be hot for me and vice versa. In Dutch we say, 'Meten is weten'; measuring is knowing.
The dial on the milk frother adjust transit time though steam. The more froth setting for caps will be hotter 140-150F. The less froth setting for lattes is much cooler at around 130F. People are used to Starbuck's lattes which are 160F.

I have a problem with people using superlatives in conversation. You made the comment that a lot of people have a problem. How many is a lot? Then you said many people have a milk problem. How many is many? I think you mean that there are people who have this or that problem. Not a lot. Not many. For the simple reason that you can't define a lot or many. Just say that you've heard people have a problem. Or some people have made comments.
Ah, well, I'm sorry that you personally have a problem with that. With the amount of research I've done on this machine and the amount of reviews I've read I've seen approx 300 people leaving reviews saying the same things over in regards to these issues. When you take that into account and combine that with the fact that this machine is so expensive in my opinion that is what, "a lot" means. And just to clarify, when I said "a lot" I actually literally meant "a lot". "A lot" meaning, "many". Hope that helps!
