Almost 15 years later and I'm still driving my Stillen tuned 350z. The dual exhaust sounds amazing, and the velocity stack on my intake really gives a nice whistle. I'll drive this car to it's end.

Such an amazing exhaust note which I've always loved about the 350s,370s,g35s, and g37s. Even the stock exhaust has a nice subtle hum to it =)

EXACTLY!! She used to get jealous because I'd spend my saturday mornings cleaning up my 96 thunderbird (it was a ridiculously clean car, no dents, perfect paint). I used to be kind of surprised that she would rather be upset instead of working on the wheels XD
sweet !! but don't forget that the kit cost 8,200$ you also need a new clutch and flywheel to hold the power good if your going to race the car also a oil coller will def need be in need , and a fuel pump and injectors and a custom tune. which totals 12,000$ you get 155 hp

i think the ultimate sleeper car would be to take a ex37 crossover and integrate this package into it; minus the body kit.the ex37 has pretty much the same vq37 engine and platform as a g37/370z so the supercharger system and suspension components shouldnt be much of a problem.
i'm looking to do this to a 370GT Four which is the JDM version of the EX37

Get rid of the wife or GF and it'll be no problem. My ex hated the Porsche that I owned because she was jealous of the time and money that I spent on the car, she wanted me to spend that extra money on her for stuff like new shoes, etc. I got rid of her and kept the Porsche and it was one of the best decisions of my life.

Funny you should say this; I have a Stillen Z32 replica based of Stillen's Stage chart built by the previous owner (Stillen parts all installed @Nissan) -- intake, intercoolers, exhaust, rotors, GTZ louvre and wing and I have to say they're all top notch. It even has a secondary oil cooler.
I think the 370 is much uglier than the 350.

just visited my local nissan dealer, 2012 nismo in silver, youtube doesnt do it any justice, beautiful machine for the price.

@DRFTmonkeh I would argue that the 370Z would do well in a highway (read: 60-160) pull against a GTR. AWD matters less, and once the centrifugal blower spools up, the Z pulls really hard. I don't know if the Z would beat the GTR but it would be a good race.
It's for funnel that feeds air into the intake. It may look a little annoying but when your making that much power constent fresh air is needed, and having that much power is not annoying. :)
I love the fact that they took the effort to carb certify their chargers for us CA peeps. Makes me wanna buy a z.

I have the same Stillen set up but upgraded it to air to air and man it’s like night and day difference!! 523 whp at 6k above sea level meth injected 9 lbs pulley upgrade and a list of other mods. Stayed with the SC because I wanted it to daily driveable. 600 plus hp crank.
Have you done any mods to the engine and transmission themselves to handle that power
@@-ExperienceWithMe- I need to get the screws and gallery gaskets done specially since the 2009-2013's all got paper gaskets so that's in the very near future. Also I have a JWT clutch and lightweight flywheel install to handle the power to the wheels. Stock motor, the 3.7 vq's can handle up to 450ft try anything above that you're play with fire especially if the gallery gaskets haven't been taken care of. The gaskets don't usually go bad till 80,000 plus miles on the odometer but still I want to get that done before I push the motor. I am sitting at 389ft of torque currently which keeps me within the safe zone for a stock block. Engine is stock, nothing has been done to the internals nor bottom end or any of that yet. It's runs reliably and strong. I love the linear power band however it's a beast from 4000 rpm and above! Poly urathane motor mounts, trans mount and subframe collars to stiffen up the drive line and keep from losing power from engine and trans torquing.
The biggest problem here is I don’t have one 😬🙏🏼Thank you for showing her it’s beautiful SUPERCHARGED 👍God Bless the fortunate

Every time I watch this video it brings joy to me. NISSAN 370z is far ahead of it's game, especially with the STILLEN after market parts. NISSAN needs to collaborate with STILLEN USA to bring the next generation Z to life.

That's the best sounding Z I've heard. Sounds unique almost like E46 bmw, not quite but something unique like that rather than the Nissans VQ engine "trumpet" noise with most exhausts.

My next door neighbor has a 280Z 2+2. Its been babied. Just repainted, no rust, it looks amazing. I'm thinking about selling my 87 Porsche 944S to buy it but idk. I like the Porsche performance and there's just something awesome about that quirky little car. I'd love TT 300ZX but thats not the easiest to maintain either.

Doesn't the 2015 NISMO come with a 6spd manual stock? Dunno why you'd want a FR sports car with an automatic unless it was a real paddle shifter. Also, probably gonna get shit for this, but I actually prefer the way the NISMO looks to this. I'll admit the hood is fucking kickass and reminds me of an S30 fairlady.
Captain Sleepy The 370z is a RWD front engined sports car, all Nissan's Z performance cars have been as well. I'd much rather have an 8 speed ZF automatic + paddle shifting gearbox on the 370z Stillen+NISMO for many reasons.
The 8 speed's rev matching, shift speed & improved 0-60 + 1/4th mile time are ahead of the 6 speed transmission. Then whenever you aren't racing you still have the full auto shifting to keep commutes easy when you don't feel like shifting through gears in traffic.
Themayseffect Until seeing the 2015 white NISMO with the black & red accents I would've been against it. The Nismo is still lacking power at it's price point, but it's much more sporty looking now. The Stillen's hood, bumper & spoiler look more aggressive & JDM to me, which I think the Z needs.
Themayseffect Aggressive looks doesn't add power, but I like my cars & women to be visually appealing.
The 370z's regardless of trim aren't really entry level at 25k+ for a good condition one. It's mid tier, entry is Miata territory.
As far as engine power, I'm a bigger 6 cylinder fan but the 370z needs around 500hp & 450tq to really be a threat at it's weight.
I usually do some autocross & drags but a supercharged FRS auto performed the 370z around the track & my 5th gen SS Camaro at 4000 pounds outran the 370z in the 1/4th.
Honestly I didn't know the 370z had rev match on manual, that's more appealing. The car's not impractical but not practical. If you are looking for a weekend car though you are right, this is a great one.

Congrats! Your doing all the right steps! I never said the performance of the car is girly, simply the looks. The fact of the matter is though you bought an automatic z, which is a sin for a car with a proper manual gear box. The second thing is that its a roadster, which means it wont handle as well without the rigidity of having that roof. If you hooked up a mazda miata with a big engine and a bunch of performance parts would it make it look any less girly? I was simply talking about the looks

Been considering the Stillen SC or GTM Stage II for my 370Z, a warranty on the SC is very appealing, but when you get a little HP you always want more, making the TT a better idea...anyways, using a custom tune, seems most guys have been making 430-440 at the wheels with the SC. I can live with that.

@TheSmokingTire I would love an episode on your opinion (and other pros) how tuned cars, such as those that you feature, will be treated when they become classics. In an auction setting (such as Barrett Jackson), do you believe aftermarket tuned cars will fetch a higher price tag or not so much since they've been modified from stock? With the hundreds of tuning houses out there, will some be more desirable than others? Just a thought. I look forward to your future videos. Keep up the great work
can the supercharger kit be used with the factory clutch?
