Thanks! I was just doing some last-minute cramming for part two of my on-site interview during a break between sessions. I walked in the room and out of that room feeling extremely confident though, I will be back to let you know if I got the job.
Life changing interview in just 7 hours. This could lead me to my dream job in computer science, and I'm scared out of my mind. UPDATE: They are sending out decisions in a few days UPDATE: I got in
Number 3 is VERY complicated because it is hard to catch on to their language and terminologies while you are stuck into your mind trying to remember what you learned about the company and every answer you practised! Oscillating between your inner and outer mental state is not easy and for some impossible, as they can only access one area of their brain at a time! :(
Going for my interview in 45 minutes. I'm praying I land this land because I really need it. To everyone else going for their interviews, I wish you the best of luck and blessings!! Update, I got the job💕💕💕💕 I'm super grateful😊😊
#1 Ask good questions #2 Be flexible; be accommodating #3 Use their language #4 Compliment them when you don't know ; ask for more clarification #5 Let them know you want the job
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Schallingora Information Investigation Scheme (just google it)? It is a great one off guide for learning what you need to say to get hired in a job interview without the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my old buddy Taylor at last got cool success with it.
I watched this video before my interview. I have never been a supervisor, but I had roles where I was somewhat a “leader.” I applied for a supervisor position and felt so confident in the interview! Thanks to this video I GOT THE JOB! Big thanks! You are really making a difference in people’s lives! Can’t thank you enough
Also, don't be nervous or desperate. Go into the interview with the sincere desire to land the job, but also be comfortable with not getting it. I've found that when I've gone into job interviews not really needing the job, I tend to be much more relaxed, confident and better at responding to the interviewers questions. In short, I'm not a bundle of nerves when I know I'm just as well off without the job as I am with it.
Three main tips are: 1. Research the company, the job and Hiring Manager 2. Prepare for interview questions and write down your potential answers 3. Practice, practice and practice
Ive had plenty of interviews in the past, this one tomorrow is the first one I'm nervous about. This is the first interview that could get me out of retail and into a real career. Thank you for these tips!
Don is the best. Two years ago I went from getting interviews to getting job offers. I was interviewing frequently based on my experience and education but not getting the offers, I watched a few of Don’s videos and that all changed. I am now interviewing for a promotion and I am back. Thank you Don
I watch this video earlier during lunch and just came back to let everyone know I got the job after job hunting since February 2022!!!! Amazing God is good 😊
I have failed my last 4-5 interviews.I watched this 2 hours prior to today’s interview and I got hired! He did not ask any of the questions today(My previous interviewers definitely did) however, me being prepared to answer those questions allowed me to present myself in a much better light. You’re awesome and thank you so much.Subscribed!
Reggie Turner exactly, I’m not for manufacturing responses. if the job does not feel right for you it’s perfectly ok to reject an offer. Similarly if you get rejected it’s ok. You can always try elsewhere. Who you are, technical skills and values have to be in alignment with your future employer and vice versa, otherwise you wouldn’t enjoy your job 😄!
I got the job in my first interview! Of course I have the qualifications but just about everything in this video was awesome to keep in mind. Apparently I was the first person to have questions for them! I was told that I’d have to wait a week for the decision and they called me back in about 5 hours. Thanks so much!
I am a healthcare professional who has worked in privately owned offices. I wanted to branch out into a more corp role. I have never, in over 20 yrs, had to sit for a formal behavioral interview with multiple people. I watched Don's videos and took notes. I spent about 6 hrs the day before. I have a lifetime of stories to use for every answer. I would've been sitting there saying "ummm, hmmm, let me think about that" for sure. I wrote out all my answers and studied them all day and went over them again an hour before. It really helped to have your "story/answer" ready. I answered every single question professionally and without hesitation. I had a lot of smiles and nods. I think they were impressed. They said within two wks they will make a decision - fingers crossed!
Im working at challenge manufacturing right now. In a couple hours i interview for a leadership position at a window cleaning company that is brand new. Big increase in wage and responsibility. Wish me well!

I was a bit nervous with my technical interview (3rd for the position), so I decided to search for some last minute help and I found this video. I didn't do so well as I expected, I missed some points on the tech questions, but this video in my last hour saved me with most important, show that I was one of them and that I really want to work for them. 1 hour later, I got a call with the offer, I am so happy and I hope everyone has the chance to see your videos. These are very precious tips! Thank you so much!
10:15 Last one, #5, “Let them know you want the job; just tell them.” ROFL. I feel like a child but having a great conversation with an experienced adult. Sometimes we know what’s the right thing to do in some situations, but we are blindsided by all the other things that are happening and often overlook the small details. This is one of those things ;) Thanks for sharing this video!!
👏👏 Asking good, meaningful questions can make a big difference! It's generally obvious when someone's asking questions they think they "should" ask instead of questions they actually care about.
I have my interview in 10 hours. I haven’t prepared because I didn’t want to feel overwhelmed putting too much thought into it. But now I feel like a nervous wreck! This interview is a major step in starting my career!! Wish me luck !
Watched this the night before and 30 mins before my interview on Friday and just got word I got the position today!! Very happy man! Post Grad job in the bag
Stay true to yourself in the interview as well. Remember that the more honest you are, the happier you will be in that job or another one you’re more suited for💪🏼Goodluck
I wanna add something to this and thank you for making this video, it will help me when I do my first interview. (Also the thing I wanna add was): Always thank them for their time, because I assume, they have thousands of other people waiting on an interview and time is a precious thing. And out of all the people they picked they picked you to have the interview with them.
I highly recommend asking for further clarification/elaboration for questions you don’t understand. I’ve used this in my interviews and every time I have been able to give a much more clear and concise answer after they provide more information. Try not to do this for too many questions or I don’t think it would look very good, but I agree it is an extremely effective response to use.
Hey Don, just wanted to reach out and say thank you for these videos. They are extremely helpful and I took your tips on the questions to ask and aced both of my interviews. As someone who conducts interviews I can say asking questions/good questions is big. You'd be surprised at how many candidates ask nothing at the end and it makes them look uninterested.

I totally agree with asking meaningful questions. Many hiring managers complain about candidates that don’t ask questions (rightfully or not). Not asking questions make the candidate not seem interested and also creates that awkward quietness in the interview

Thank you so much!! As followed your tips, I did a great interview this morning!! And the interviewer like me a lot. I can't believe it has this great impact!! Thank you so much!!
If you have the capacity to remain focused on the conversation, mirror their actual posture (unless it is aggressive). Subtly fold your hands as they do, keep your hands under the table if they do, talk with your hands if they do. The overwhelming majority of people respond very well if the person they are engaging with is matching their body language (it has a comforting effect on nearly everyone, without them being very aware of exactly why).
I go back to this video every single time I have a interview. So well spoken and such good mindset to go into job interviews. Thank you ❤ so many times over.
Sadly most of getting a job and promotions I've noticed tends to be "do I want to work with this person", it has little to do with "is this the best person" it's entirely about the fact that'll they'll be chatting to you for perhaps years almost everyday, so you could be not great at the job, but if you are passable and have similar hobbies / they generally get on with you you'll have a much better chance of getting the job than somebody who is incredible at the job but they can't discuss sports or whatever with. I know this as in every job I've had I end up with employee of the month, and current job I get 270% productivity, but does any of that help me get other jobs even within the same company? hell no they want a new friend not an incredibly skilled employee.
I have my 3rd job interview in 15 minutes! I found out about the 3rd interview about 2.5 hours ago. It is down to me and one other candidate. Last interview is a phone call with CEO, to whom I will directly report. I have watched several videos, reviewed my notes from prior interviews and now going to do some breathing exercises to relax and clear my mind. Wish me luck! I'll comment and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the great tips!

This video was super helpful and still relevant today in 2021! My interview is in 2 hours and I'm feeling prepared!
many thanks
My interview is about to start in few hours. 16:30.. thanks for the last minute tips. Hopefully i will pass.
Thank you so much!! As followed your tips, I did a great interview this morning!! And the interviewer like me a lot. I can't believe it has this great impact!! Thank you so much!!
glad to help. keep liking my videos :-)
I have an interview tomorrow morning wish me luck!!!
Dude, you are literally an eye-opener and a lifesaver...and you've just earned a subscriber from yours truly 😊😊

I have an interview in 2 hours and I thought let me UA-cam some advice. I’ll keep y’all updated it’s a lead role in my current company wish me luck!
*If you speak the way they do, they'll think, "you talk like us, you think like us, yOu ArE One Of Us"*😂💯
speaking like them builds rapport :-)

Good luck on your interview
