There is a big difference between the up to two ounces each of us are allowed to have and driving cross country with 230 pounds in your car. The dispensary here staples the bag containing the jars shut. I don't even open the bag until I'm safely in my home. But, once I'm home, I can sit on my front porch and "take my medicine" legally. Following the rules is not difficult.
If a trooper pulls you over for speeding then says I'm not gonna give you a ticket for speeding he's gonna ask to search your car especially if he's been tipped off
Yup, not gonna give you a ticket because it was just an excuse to pull you over and search you car. No sense of a 100 dollar speeding ticket when you're gonna have a 10,000 dollar fine for trafficking.
Someone tipped them off. They didn’t clock them going over the speed limit. They saw the vehicle, caught up to it then started looking for reasons to pull over and yet again another high ranking officer

Another thing most weed smugglers dont realize is how distinctive a smell it emits. If you smoke it you probably dont realize that you will smell like it. Most people do not have a 100% airtight sealed container in their vehicles. If a human can tell, the K9 will confirm it. I hope K9 Beau did not go into low orbit from the fumes.
The odor comes from the Oil of the plant, the mistake most smugglers make is when packing they think vacuum sealing keeps the odor down, but they get the oil on their hands while loading the bags, then touch the outside of the bags when sealing them, just that tiny bit of oil is all the K9 needs to smell, and no, it doesn't effect them, not unless they smoke it.
That's why you don't smuggle plant. And if you do, you have a closed off back seat. I have held up just fine on these type of bs traffic stops because I had a lot of edibles and concentrates. The cop was so confident I didn't have anything cause he's looking just for the low potency, highly pungent plant.
The THC can't get you high at all until after it is exposed to a certain minimum level of heat, which changes the molecule and "activates" it. So obviously you need to smoke or bake it first.
The legal amount you can buy from a dispensary in Illinois at least is only an ounce. Max. You can't legally buy even a pound. For that weight you gotta go to a high level plug who may or may not have 10 felonies on their record 233 pounds means you're involved with either the cartels or the big boys out in Cali or the northwest

That’s why I never mow my lawn. Too much weed, it gave me headaches from the smell of freshly cut weed.
