Merci beaucoup 😊❤
Dem Boyz were FUNKY !!!!!!!!! I just watched a vid on the Commadores which i never got to see back in the 70's but i did see these guys back then several times......
@myklallen7184 when I started playing bass 55 years ago, I didn't have anyone tell me to use 1 and 4. Basically, I have big hands, and it's just more comfortable. Old habits are hard to break 😉
@@myseville1976 This is the second commenter that didn't seem to understand... I played this song In A Cover Band named Neo Fusion. Everyone else got it. It says Con Funk Shun in title.
I really enjoy your style of play Dale that you were putting on this song
That’s a great song, one of Con Funk Shuns lesser known but good ones.
I have to say I prefer this bass line to the original. Outstanding
Very. Fresh can't go wrong. Wit. That old. School. Sound🎸✌️
@@kennethclinton4628 Indeed!
Those "Jazz Deluxe" basses were engineered to produce the sound we need to hear 👏🏾👏🏾
@surgeneral108 Yes indeed they were! I got this one because the strings went dead on it. Everyone thought it sucked. I knew better 🤣
Smooth & not forcing your play!👍🏽

Que timbre esse baixo ,no mínimo deve ser um jazz bass
Yes, it is a 2004 Fender Jazz. Made for funkado musica 😉

That fender has a nice Growl, what model is that?
@kobie345 It is a 2004 Deluxe. I believe Fender only made it a couple of years.
yah!!
Nice video, Dale. As a bassist I see when you are playing octaves, you use the first & third finger instead of first & fourth finger.. Why?

@@6strbassplayer I agree. I have that same habit the majority of the time. For the sake of convenience, I guess.
@keefeblackproduces Man, I tell my students to not pick up my bad habits all the time lol
@@6strbassplayer I feel you!!👍
Check out a lot of the originals use 1 & 3 instead of 1 & 4 Larry Graham Marcus etc Kinda how we all learned bavk in the day
What the Funk """""""""""""""""" shall we.mmmm
