People just like to complain. I like it, now there’s more variety of games rather than playing the same team twice. 2 teams from each seeded group and one is home, one is away. Champions league was getting stale, it’s an interesting new format. People don’t understand at all, I’ve seen comments saying it makes it easier for top teams? Think carefully. Old system top seed team plays NO top seed teams as they are that themselves. Now they play 2 games against top seed teams as the extra two games. That’s more difficult if anything.
The only concern to me is there's only one standing table. The teams that are close to the border lines (6,7,8,9,10,11,22,23,24,25,26,27) as such may not be properly determined. Just have to wait and see. I don't know what criteria UEFA used to computerized-randomly select the match up. Are they fair or detailed enough?
Dani Carvajal deserves a mention for Ballon Dor, scored in the final for Real Madrid in the CL, captained the team most of the season, won the league, won the Euros
Ipswich was quite fresh that first half against Liverpool. Didn't see the second half tho. Thought that if they had more quality on top they could've gotten away with one.
You all blend together nicely, I love the show. As a Brit in Paris, makes me happy to see this. Maybe you can get either Drogba, Okocha, Kanu, or Toure.Brothers.....to talk about their experiences in the Premiership
It was fine as it was. Much as I love attending CL games it is expensive having extra games especially if you go as a family. Plus if you miss a game you lose a match credit and will struggle to get tickets the following season for any games.
I don't think I've lol so loud and hard after that!! Will Chelsea be good for Liverpool!! Poor Gary!! You guys are brilliant...Great comedy moments ...keep it up lads! My eyes are streaming!!
Rodri ghoasted in big games. He was dominated by Mainoo in the fa cup final, in the Euros he abandoned at half time and it was Zubimendi who did the work in the final. And he also disappeared against R Madrid in the UCL. Carvajal, Vinicius, even Lautaro deserves more the balloon dor.
How can you Even mention lautaro ? Carbajal is no way near . Which match has he been mom ? Vini has been star of champions league and la liga whole season and because bellingham faded it is clearly Vini
It is worrying how many games the top players have to play, particularly the younger ones, Bellingham looked tired at the Euro 24, the new CL format adds even more games to an already heavy schedule.
It’s also worrying that some of these managers choose to overplay some players instead of utilizing their entire squad. Last season Pep rarely used Kovacic and Nunes.
I agree with Micah about the eyesight. I've worn glasses since 1999. As far as I can tell, my eyesight hasn't been a hindrance to me playing and enjoying the game. I tried playing with contacts one time, and I had the exact problem he described. I saw too well. My eyesight was too sharp. I also agree with what him and Al said about Chiesa. A fit Chiesa will be the signing of the season. €12mln😮! That's ridiculous.
This is great, a fresh new thing. Most people dont like change but I like new and interesting stuff. Lets see how that plays out, in the first phase there are already some massive games to watch
The thing about being used to playing without seeing is absolutely true. I was a decent baseball player in my youth, and then I discovered I needed glasses. I started wearing them when I hit, and I found I could not hit the ball anymore. I played much better with no glasses.
Can u do a tranfer window breakdown show? Like ins and outs and your ranking of each, like a prem table for transfers? I'd love to hear all of your thoughts on them. Love the show since it started. 💯
The new CL format is to ensure that all the bigger teams make it to the knockout stages (or to make it as hard as possible for them to go out in the 'group' stage anyway) It has removed the potential "group of death" where you might see a bigger side go out due to their being two other top teams in that group.
