Klopp did leave Slot an amazing squad which included a partial rebuild with a new midfield. It shows how diligent Liverpool are with acquisitions that you never hear anything negative or have off field issues to worry about. All the players seem they were chosen not just on what they’re like as players which is hugely important. Utd could learn from it.

Slot has done so well, but that's in large part because of the foundation left to build on. We are only 11 games in to a very long season. Pleased with what I've seen so far, but ultimately Slot's success will be measured by trophies too.

I am from India. We have been following the EPL for decades. But we see that the league is getting compromised one season at a time. Some of the decisions are blatantly dodgy. Hope the FA leadership sees the writing on the wall before it's too late

You know the refs can not say whether or not the defender will get there. They have to look at direction of play, and distance the defender is from the play. It is irrelevant to who the defender is. It only matters where they are in relation to the foul/play. Which is why the one in Liv game was a yellow cause defender is less than 5 yards and ball is going wide. In Arsenal ball is going down the center and white is 20 yards away
And if you watch the overhead camera you can see the ball curling towards Ben White, who while further away from the foul than the chelsea player, is further up the pitch. Chelsea focused on game domination, while LFC wanted control. In my opinion, Chelsea was stronger at Anfield, but still LFC did not concede many chances either. It almost looked like LFC played like an Italian team. Chelsea is a very good team with truly excellent players. They will end up in top-4.

Brentford can be a difficult side, but this seasons away games were very tough for Brentford because of the difficult opposition. I was very deflated after the Brentford goal, but it was nice seeing Utd players coming from HT swinging. You don't see that very often. I agree with consistency and the lack of it. At the moment ETH seems to focus on one game at the time and with easier games coming up (excluding Europa League game). I believe we can achieve that consistency and bounce back.
When it comes to overturning penalty decisions, rather predictably you have one set of glasses for big teams like Liverpool, another for smaller teams like Ipswich, who had a much closer pen decision overturned on Saturday. MOTD of course sided with Everton and VAR, saying it was probably the right decision in the end. Maybe you are the ones who need a "higher bar" ?

Yet VAR's lengthy decision to reverse the Ipswich pen on Saturday was apparently "the correct decision", according to MOTD, even though it was far closer to being a pen than Liverpool's. Not taking anything away from Everton, they deserved to win.

Chelsea focused on game domination, while LFC wanted control. In my opinion, Chelsea was stronger at Anfield, but still LFC did not concede many chances either. It almost looked like LFC played like an Italian team. Chelsea is a very good team with truly excellent players. They will end up in top-4.

To be fair to the FA to officially speak to Howe they would have had to met an agreement with Newcastle over paying him out of his contract. I’m pretty sure I read over the summer £20 million was cited. If so the FA would have not stumped up that sort of cash. Love the pod but Micah and Alan are talking rubbish if they think that’s not a correct decision. That was a howler. When a goalkeeper runs out their momentum will always take out the player. If you give penalties for that despite them getting the ball, keepers will just stop running out because it’s a guaranteed penalty, unless they somehow stop their momentum. Surely that is a precedent football fans don’t want to set?

However, you didn’t address the over-referring on the Saliba red card, which was initially shown as a yellow. Was the initial decision a howler? I don’t believe it was, guys.

I'm a bit disappointed with talking about Manchester United game. I hoped for more in terms of individual players, tactics and stats. Especially what was good or bad with ManUtd. Also no mention about De Ligt and forcing him off the field and all that. Genuinenly thank you for all your work, I love listening this on the road.
Utd played well in the second half, but it was Brentford who haven’t won away so far. I suppose it was a good sign your players heads didn’t drop after going a goal down, but its just one win. You know your biggest problem is consistency. Can you win 3/4 games on the bounce?
@1972dsrai I agree with the United players playing well in the second half. Brentford can be a difficult side, but this seasons away games were very tough for Brentford because of the difficult opposition. I was very deflated after the Brentford goal, but it was nice seeing Utd players coming from HT swinging. You don't see that very often. I agree with consistency and the lack of it. At the moment ETH seems to focus on one game at the time and with easier games coming up (excluding Europa League game). I believe we can achieve that consistency and bounce back.

When it comes to overturning penalty decisions, rather predictably you have one set of glasses for big teams like Liverpool, another for smaller teams like Ipswich, who had a much closer pen decision overturned on Saturday. MOTD of course sided with Everton and VAR, saying it was probably the right decision in the end. Maybe you are the ones who need a "higher bar" ?
Everton are hardly one of the big teams tbf and you never looked like winning. It wouldn’t have changed the result.
@@1972dsrai Oh, I was actually comparing Ipswich and Liverpool mate. Alan and Micah both said they were "surprised" the Liverpool pen got reversed (even though it was clearly not a pen imho). Yet VAR's lengthy decision to reverse the Ipswich pen on Saturday was apparently "the correct decision", according to MOTD, even though it was far closer to being a pen than Liverpool's. Not taking anything away from Everton, they deserved to win.
Liverpool could have chosen to try and steamroller chelsea but not sure that would have worked as chelsea are very very good on the counter this season...so very much looked like slot settled on sitting back, letting chelsea have more of the ball and trying to oick them of at strategic moments of whuch there were about 4 or 5 in total
1. Attack for first penalty
2. Attack for second penalty which of course got canclled after the vudeo review
3. The second goal they scoored that turned out to be offside
4. The eventual 2nd goal they scored after chelsea equalized
Another noticeable thing was they appear to go up a gear when they need to...rather than stay in gear 6 for 90mins which of course means they are less exciting but no less lethal as 10 out of 11 games won shows...lets see how they go against Arsenal...

Really don't get the analysis of the game, chelsea looked very dominant in midfield, just lacked the last pass to cut open liverpool, probably deserved a draw. Seemed like liverpool set up to defend and counter at home, was a smart set up from slot but not worthy of the levels of praise it seems to be getting.
