    Yesss I've been waiting for a video like this for so long! So many people make ichiran videos, but you are the first person I've seen to post a video comparing the different richness and dashi and showing how they look and taste. And you put so much effort into the video quality too. You deserve many more subscribers with how high the quality of your videos are. I hope your channel can grow super big!

    As someone who has a lot of food texure issues, being able to forgo the stuff that i know i won't eat so it's not wasted (like onion and meat) is really nice, and being able to customise it further is nice too :)

    Ichiran only has branches in Japan, USA (only two, and they are both in New York), and some other South East Asian countries. They aren't as widespread over the world as you would think unfortunately, I wish they were. I would like them to open in the UK.
    I always have to order the 5 portion box from Amazon, and it is expensive (£34.60 - ¥6330.46 - $42.11). I wish I could just visit an Ichiran restaurant when ever I felt like eating it.
    This is an amazing guide, and one I will save on my UA-cam save list. Thank you. 🙂

    was always curious about the richness at ichiran, this is really cool to see the comparison. i have never seen the light version, and i had no idea you can do 1/4 spiciness!I like extra rich with whole clove of garlic with medium spice : ) seeing the price on top, I love how affordable ichiran is. in the USA, a good bowl of restaurant ramen can be up to 18 usd.

    • @foodinjapan2256
      @foodinjapan2256  10 місяців тому

    I did not know about the different colours for the kaedama refill, that is cool! Also, can I ask what is the difference between dashi and richness? You said extra dashi should be okay but extra rich is too much. Is dashi = salt level and richness = oil level?
    Also, that 1cm of oil on the extra rich ramen is so much, I feel oily just looking at it 😂
