Great content as usual, I look forward to your video on a weekly basis, starts my weekend out on a relaxing travel minded note. One question I had about the Marriott program, can we use and earn points with the Home and Villas rentals? I’ve been noticing a lot of reasonably priced units and was curious your take on the program for Home and Villas and if you ever used them before. I hear it’s like Airbnb but more consistently higher end. Any thoughts?

Yes you can earn and redeem points on Homes & Villas stays. The earn rate is 5 points per US$ spent before taxes/fees. They run frequent bonus promotions as well. Right now the offer is 10,000 bonus points for 3+ night stays (Book by Mar 8 for stays until May 31). Redemption wise I've never looked into it in terms of actual value so I couldn't tell you if it is a good deal or not.
It is like Airbnb and personally I have not used Homes & Villas yet. I've seen both positive and negative comments about booking with Homes & Villas. The positive including an easy booking and stay process, cheaper prices etc. The negative including reservations cancelled for no reason and also higher prices than elsewhere.
Thank you for the incredible work you do! one small favor I would ask is that you please get a proper microphone, I stopped listening to the podcast in the last month because of the extremely low quality of the audio and not being a podcast expert myself, I'm sure you can get a relatively cheap microphone that will improve the quality of the podcast significantly (voice quality, noise and echo reduction). Thanks again for the work and dedication.

Is it worth making bonvoy for myself and one for my spouse?
Yes is sure can be! Even though the points would be deposited into two separate accounts, Marriott Bonvoy allows you to transfer up 100,000 points per year to another account so you could easily move your points over to your spouse or vice versa. Plus you would get two free night awards to use each year.
