    Which would you recommend between the TD First Class Travel Visa and their Aeroplan card ?

      Depends on your reward goals. If you are looking for rewards that will cover any travel (flights, hotels, car rentals etc.) and/or if your flights are mostly economy class I would lean towards the TD First Class Visa. The beauty is that you can use the points towards any of that travel and use them to even discount your travel, for example if you have $200 of points you can book yourself a $600 ticket and redeem the points towards it so you are only spending $400.
      If you are looking more for premium cabin awards (business class etc.) and have the ability to put a lot of spending on the TD Aeroplan card (or have the Amex Cobalt Card for the ultimate in Aeroplan points earning) I would lean towards the Aeroplan card.

    Just tried to transfer my Amex to Marriott, but a error message showed up and by trying on the desktop version the rate remains at 5:6

      Desktop will work fine, you'll see the bonus post on Marriott's side

      @@RewardsCanada Yes thanks! I booked a Autograph collection hotel in Osaka for a good 1C/pt valuation - 90K points for two nights at 500 CAD / night :)

    I have an upcoming spend of about $5500-$6000 on travel expenses to make in the next month. I have the Scotia Passport, Amex Cobalt and TD Visa infinite already. Which card would you recommend I apply for next to make this spend and earn a good SUB??

    • @RewardsCanada
      @RewardsCanada  7 днів тому +1

      There are a few options but I probably would go for the RBC Avion Visa Infinite's 55K bonus, see last week's video for more details or apply for it here: www.rewardscanada.ca/links/rbcavioninfinite.html.
      It only requires $5K spend in 6 months (so you'll meet that with the spend) and it earns 1.25 points per dollar on travel purchases. If you spend $6K on travel you'll end up with 62,500 Avion points and then hopefully in a couple of months here we'll have the 30% transfer bonus to British Airways which would give you over 81,000 Avios to use. Or you could transfer during the next WestJet transfer bonus to get close to 700 WestJet dollars. If BA or WestJet is not on your radar you could look at the CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite, Scotia Gold Amex (you'll need to spend $7,500 on this card for the full bonus) or the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card.

      @@RewardsCanada Thanks for your recommendation. I applied for the RBC Avion card with your link and was approved ! Looking forward to earning these Avion points to redeem for future travel!

      @danielleow Thank you very much! It is greatly appreciated you used our link. If you do end up keeping the Avion card beyond getting the bonus I would recommend getting the ION+ card as well to accelerate your earning and give you more value out of Avion Rewards. And don’t forget to join Avion Select so you can link your Amex and Scotia card and earn more Avion points on select purchases.

    I love to Cobalt but with Giant Tiger not taking Amex now I now have switched from the super cheap grocery store option to the more expensive and further away Metro or Fresco. I hope this isn’t a trend with the budget grocery and/or discount stores.

      I hope not either! And also make sure you aren't spending more than before just to the earn the 5x points on Cobalt. Run the numbers to see if Giant Tiger+ a different card will end up saving you money or not.
