How's everyone feeling about things after the last 10 games?
Better at the moment, thank you Ollie for the HEAT to the umpires and supporting your players. I almost drove several hundred miles to by a ticket and give 9 innings of trash talk to these umps. 4 badly missed calls in a row is rediculous. Nothing is worse when the bat is taking out of your hands. You don't see umpires sent down to the minors but players can be! I give Ollie A on handling the bullpen but i am worried with Jojo's pitch count for the week. I do like the ab's we are taking as long as the strike zone is nearly true and consistant. It's hard to trust the umpiring anymore right now. Thanks JD for the insights.⚾️🏆looking good! Keep on rolling Cards! Gitterdone! Wait, Your so comical JD Babe Ruth Siani and other comments lol your music ,slipknot😮 well don't forget the band Desciple with their metal song (Dear X, You Don't Own Me),,Awsome catch by Nooooooot!!, also nice D by DC
Getting that SWAGGA BACK!
8 of 10 is a good start picking up 3 games in the Division! I can't say enough about Winn and Sianni's play. Let's see how we do against our old foe The Cubbies? 😉👍
Our offense looks decent. Our rotation looks decent. Our bullpen looks excellent Although the Cardinals have given up some errors, since our offense has been playing well it hasn't really hurt us much! I really like the direction the season is headed. A sweep of the Orioles was HUGE. If the Cardinals take 2 of 3 from the Cubs then they will be in really good shape. Especially since the other teams in our division are beginning to decline some. Every team in our division lost yesterday and or today for the Cardinals to gain some much needed ground! I'm optimistic currently! Let's go Cardinals 🙂 ⚾️ ❤️!
It’s at least enjoyable to watch! Really enjoyed JD’s excitement the past 10 days😂.
My expectations are low for this team, but it's great to see some life and emotion and watch them reel off some W's against the AL East.
Good show.
If we keep winning like this for another week, I'll start to be a true believer. Right now, we're just showing what we strongly suspected our team was capable of. We just have to continue to consistently win.
Yesterday was my favorite in-person baseball moment since the 2022 Pujols era ❤️
FINALLY, Cardinals have some FIRE! Marmol feels the heat to keep his job.
I'm happy to see the Cardinals playing decent but this tough stretch has only begun, they need to keep it up.
I'm happily surprised of this sweep glad fir sum reassurance that the season is still alive solid baseball ⚾️ keeps u in the chase hopefully Middleton is back soon the bullpen is def are strength go cardinals!!
"When" Gorman puts the bat on the ball , good things happen.
Hopefully the team has done a 360 and got things figured out and keep winning. Now hope the the ump's stop screwing up so many Damm calls
Finally, the intensity that has been so lacking is starting to show. Maybe Yogi was right, "Baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is physical." 😊 Looking very forward to watching a Cardinals team who think they can win actually go out and do it, especially against the Cubs, who can't lose badly enough for me.
Yeah I hear you, I live sw of Chicago so a lot of cub fans up here , we got to sweep the cubs!!! We have some cards fan here and support with hats or shirts. To these cards fans I don't know but I will say ,Hey go Cards!, got your support Cardinals up here in ne Illinois!!⚾️🏆
Hey JD; it’s a small sample size, but this is what we expected of this team. They are not any better than what we expected of them! We’ll see how long they keep this up. I hope they do…and if they do, their on field performance will be nothing more than what we all expect from this team! PERIOD!!
I’m like you and everyone! Thank you God finally some emotion! On an even more positive note God bless Mason WIN lol he has still been a bright note for me. He’s young and made some mistakes but damn I love the guy!!
This home stretch has been very positive for the team. Timely hitting, good pitching for the most part have been evident during this home trip. Now, can they continue this against the Cubs?
Let's go after those Cubbies now! Have a safe Memorial weekend! 🇺🇸
Some good vibes going around. Good to see it. The guys seem a little more relaxed at the plate and aren't "trying to do too much" as Edmonds would like to say. They're taking their walks and singles with the expectation that the next guy will come through instead of feeling like every hit had to be a double or a Home Run or else they'd never score.
I think this series will either build momentum or completely kill it (nothing in-between). Pessimistic fans could say that 2/3 from the Red Sox was good but they would argue that they're a .500 team (below after we got done with them) so it was good, but not a sign of great things. "A series we SHOULD win if we want to be a serious team.". Sweeping the Orioles was great because they're such a great team but they could argue none of the games were blowouts and we just won close games because of all the rain delays and we had the "advantage" as the home team. This series against the Cubs, I think, will show us if we're really "back" or if those two series were just a fluke.
If we end up getting swept I can see that really hurting the team. If we take the series then I see us going on a massive roll.
Welp the Red Sox are actually currently 26-24 so 2 games above .500. The Red Sox currently are 2nd in pitching in the MLB (1st when they played the Cardinals). They also are about 9th in hitting, and were about 7th when they played the Cardinals. So, they were by no means chumps lol!
The Orioles are currently 6th in pitching (were 4th before the Cardinals), 1st in defense, and about 10th in hitting (were about 8th before the Cardinals). As far as blowouts I mean if you take away both teams unearned runs the Cardinals outscored the Orioles 12-2 in the series. I'd say those are 2 pretty damn good teams that we won 6-7 against!
Those pessimistic people don't know what the hell they're talking about lol! The Cardinals also beat the injured proned Angels 2 of 3, which they should've. I'd say the Cardinals are playing pretty good ball!
Gibson has improved a bit last game he pitched was nerve racking but he hung in there and made it work thankfully they sent Pallante down and the pitching has leveled out decent so far
Every journey requires a first step. The last week and a half has been a blast to watch, but I'm not quite ready to say, "The Birds are Back!" We're still a number of games back of .500, and last year's team had a similar jolt at this point in the year (and we all know how 2023 went).
Still, credit where it's due; the team has been playing MUCH better as of late!
If we can take 2 out of 3 from Chicago (or better yet, get another sweep), then I'd be willing to have the "Are they back?" discussion.
We saw this happen last season. Got on a hot streak and then choked the rest of the season
At no point last season did they get back to 3 games under .500.
Realistically, Imanaga is going to shut down the Cardinals and Taillon is going to be tough. I don't like the odds, but until they slide back into losing habits I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it. It feels like they're in every game now with an offense that can hit and a bullpen that is deep and potent.
It’s been a very long wait for us fans but the team has finally fired up and played like a winner. I can only hope our two big guns start playing up to their paychecks soon. When they kick into gear it will literally be “Katie, bar the door”!
You’re right about the very poor umpiring we are seeing in MLB these days. What is keeping the commissioner of baseball from replacing a bunch of these inept umps with some of the best from MiLB? Keep it rolling Cards!! A sweep of the long time bitter rival Cubs this weekend should bring back even the most distraught naysayers among the fans but I’ll be happy with another series win. I’ve been one of the disillusioned for the past season and a half myself but watching the team play good impassioned ball has made it a joy to follow them closely again and listen to the games instead of checking the morning after to see how bad they lost and who blew it this time. One last point, I’d like to see Oli drag the guys out today for some practice to buff up the defense. That’s a big part of not losing.
I get all mlb games,, and yes ur right,, lot of bad ball and strikes calls,, alot
Yes for sure. I was listening to wgn radio they were saying they don't like Angel Hernandez😅 wgn 720 flagship of the cubs. Their reporter says it's been the worst year for calls. Also latest news on the robotic ball/ strike will not happen in 2025🫣🥺 NOT another season of a.c buckner however you spell it and Angel Hernandez and others. I hope they review their strike calls just how bad they been getting.
It's great to see a little life from this team but I'm still concerned because some of the supposed leaders on this team still seem lost or disinterested. I just can't put my finger on it, but Goldschmidt and also Arranado seem to be going through the motions. I hope they start to show some emotion soon. I am rooting for the Cardinals but I'm still skeptical as this club has shown the tendency to fold under pressure. I would feel better if we had a GM that was able to tweek this roster, but Mo isn't that kind of GM. Mostly he is into low hanging fruit, and unfortunately most of what he picks is rotten.
We are getting good games from Burleson, Winn, Siani, and Herrera, with Gray and Gilbert on the mound giving us a chance to win. It's been a good run finally.
I've said all along there's nothing wrong with Marmol as Manager. No one is perfect, but he has done as good as anyone could with the team Mo gives him.
Mo is still the problem. He still doesn't have enough pitching yet, unless Lynn gets hot. Matz and Liberatore will be addition by subtraction, if Mo can find a trade partner for them.
Unless they find (either outside or in the org) one or two solid starters, I'm afraid they will be extremely inconsistent or have a couple more terrible stretches. But while they are kicking ass let's enjoy it!!
If the umpires are blind and start making stupid calls they need to get fired
JD can you say SWEEEEP!!!
I know the Cardinals took a huge beating from losing the series to the White Sox, but regardless of what happens in the rest of the season, I feel they definitely redeemed themselves in the Orioles series. Best wishes St. Louis Cardinals and remember what the late and great radio DJ /radio personality Casey Kasem used to say, "keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching towards the stars".
There is only one reason the Cards are winning is No Gio. Oli will bring him back and he will give up homers. I would argue that Donovan gets more strikes called on him than Noot.
Not too shabby
What was great every one lost in Central but cards
This is still a bad team do not get too hopeful. Most of the pitchers have been stellar the defense is what we thought they were below average and the hitting is no where near what we had hoped. This is a 90-95 loss team. Let's hope some of the hitters get hot and the ones that are doing well continue like Winn and Burleson
We may be overpreforming atm but this is not a 90-95 loss team man, not at all.
The sun shines on a dogs butt every now and then.
Now thats are cards
❤
I know this is way off subject but whose happy Gallegos got sent back down?
Let's be real the officiating against the Cardinals this year seems a little personal because that wasn't a strike that umpire should step down from what he's trying to do. I'm proud of this Cardinal team right now, they are the only team to win the last 2 days in the entire NL Central division isn't that funny.
Its Thursday and pirates ☠ and reds have lost half game gain for cards
Maybe we are turning the corner? I sure hope so.
Unlike most of the negative Nellies in the comments , I've held out faith that this team can turn things around however I was screaming for Marmol to get canned due to his nonchalant attitude where compared to our two greatest skippers would be burning down the clubhouse , screaming at umps ,the press, etc. Now he's finally showing some human emotion over the last few weeks so, I hope I'm wrong , I have no problem being wrong , I don't care I just want the damn team to win , I'm not going to act like half crackpots here and pretend I'm a genius GM so I just say I support this team dammit , I think more people actually start rallying around them instead of sounding like spoiled rotten Dodger or Yankee fans this team might surprise , there's talent there and now you can see some heart so who knows . 😅
And cubs losing 1-0 in 8th ,,can't believe Kyle Hendricks in bullpen for cubs
Are the Cardinals finally back?
Gorman on pace 28 hr 240 strikeouts and 400 ops it's horrible
says the dude who couldn't hit a tee ball
@Wobu27 you again, the guy that has a man crush on Gorman, go away, little boy, the numbers speak for themselves and your not fooling anyone by liking your own comments
@Wobu27 do you even watch the video cause doesn't seem to be only me and on the other channel they said his numbers are horrible as well 🤔
Bring it on clown 🤡
@@ACErob-me9ss so you want credit for regurgitating someone else who has no idea what they are talking about like Brendan Shaefer who hasn't played a game of Baseball in his life? Cool story bro, you're super smart.
I kinda don't want the cards to win, because it secures Marmol and the front office
JD I keep you were awesome. However I did knot know you were a Slipknot fan. That makes you even cooler. Tell me have you ever seen them live?
