Trade Helsley. If you wait till July, there is a chance he could get hurt. You should be able to get several top prospects plus a middle prospect. Many teams will be calling.

If I packaged anybody with Helsey, it would be Mikolas!!! LOL Trade relievers, but keep the starters besides Mikolas and Matz. Get a starter as good or better than Gray. A formidable rotation will keep us in games. How about Tink Hence to close and Cooper Hjerpe lefty out of the pen? Trade Arenado and Herrera to Seattle for a starter? Enjoy the trade talk. Mo has already had time to be making moves for 2025. I doubt he will. The Braves already made at least one trade to get prepared for next season. I'm tired of all the trade speculation coming out of media that pretends to know what they don't know about what trades the Cardinals could make. And Mo hasn't even done anything to shut down that publicity problem. It's just another way Mo negatively impacts team morale in our clubhouse. I will not be coming to youtube daily to follow the Cardinals in 2025 if the only reason we are playing out this "new approach" is to tank and get a better spot up the draft choice line. We do not have the talent right now to compete.

Meaning you got numbers that were inflated. Thus hurt judging the future of the players on said team.

There is something fundamentally wrong within the organization. They have traded or let go players that have had great success once they were gone. Young players that come up that flame out in the majors. That happens but seems to be epidemic for the Cardinals. It is a long list of things that have led to die hard fans being worn down. This has been happening for several years. We will come back when management starts making better decisions. Change starts at the top. Pencil pushers got to go and true baseball minds have been installed. It is a business but you have to have customers and a product. They were taking advantage of fan loyalty to line their pockets and we saw through the scam. Too much glitz and not enough grit.

Been a Cardinal fan since 1970 and never seen such BS put out from the Cardinals front office ! This team has no leadership and it shows on the field. Never seen so poor fundamentals in the field and at the plate. I will always be a fan of the Cardinals, but that doesn't mean that I can't "hold my nose" while watching them play !

About freakin' time they did this. Rebuilding the farm is about 5-10 years overdue. We may actually get back to winning baseball again! Love this look at what's going on. Honestly, I do not see them contending for the next 2 years. 2025 I expect to be in the 74-76 win range. They could surprise me though, easily. 2026 I expect to be back above .500. 2027 they may be able to make a viable shot at the playoffs, but probably not a ring. After that it might start getting GOOD again. Looking forward to the future!

I think I am out. I’m near 80 and have been a Cards fan through thick and thin since 1951. I don’t think I have time remaining to see them as a serious threat in the post season again in my lifetime. Moz has made too many mistakes in the last decade and we are saddled with an owner who values his profits more than the team that got him most of them. 🥲

I almost dont' see tis one happening. that is NOlan Arenado going to New York Yankeees. IT's not a BAD idea. I just dont' see it happening. What would most of you tyhink of waiting until the tradign deadline time and then making aht move? we'd be able to see what Arenado's intentions are for the season, I mean who good he's gong to be playing. JD, I am curious as to how much input Bloom has I’ll have on any of the trades this offseason since he will be taking over next year. Could there be any issues of Mo wanting to make a deal but Bloom doesn’t like the personnel that would be coming to stl in the trade? Just curious on your thoughts.

Not only were the batting averages and power awful with RISP, but there was also a sad inability to bring runners home from third with less than two outs, but all of MLB seems to be weak nowadays in that regard.

Even worse than BA with runners in scoring position is the repeated failure of scoring with runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs. The Cardinals were nothing short of HORRENDOUS in those situations. I have never seen a team as bad as the 2023 Cardinals when it comes to scoring with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

Decent trade idea with the Yankees, but I bet we cud get something a little better from them - they lost that series primarily because of crappy defense, and Nolan Arenado would give them, even now, an infield dude light years better than anyone they have and would solidify their defense. Plus still has a decent bat. Who else can give them that?

I'm not sure if this statistic is even available, but how many runners in scoring position did they actually have? For instance, you can look at Molina and say that his average throwout rate was roughly right about the same as other catchers. However, people didn't even run on him at an alarming rate. Therefore, the average throwout rate is underrated. Was the cardinals problems runner in scoring position or did it go deeper in that they never got anyone in scoring position to begin with. For almost two years I’ve posted here that Cardinals need to improve hitting with RISP. They don’t try to hit to the opposite field. They don’t try to hit a sacrifice fly. I know it’s not easy but the past two seasons the Cardinals were HORRIBLE at hitting with RISP. Yeah, pitching is important but if the team cannot score the great pitchers don’t win. Get some HITTERS!!!!!!!!!!

The trade is OK, but I'm not paying a lot of his salary to do it. Nado may thrive in New York like Matt Carpenter did.
