I think of you in the warmth of the celebration,
And no longer blame anyone,
For not being able to love me in return,
Because I’ve laid down the burden; I’ve learned to let go.
In the festive light, my heart is set free,
And I find myself without accusations, carefree.
The key to hearts is that I can love without expectations,
And this strength of love will one day be repaid.
Light will shine even where darkness reigns.
I love, and no longer wait for tomorrow,
To be in someone’s thoughts,
To find a home in their heart.
I live as a simple person,
And I only wish to live with light in the darkness.
I cherish those who love me; I bless those who don’t,
Though sometimes I pay with tears and dwell on the past.
At times, life confronts me with bygone moments,
But the burden eases, and the sigh fades:
I allow the shackles of hardships to loosen,
And make space for new, pure connections.
