Great video, as always! I'm going to try this with fathead dough, with a couple of small changes. I always preferred un-iced pop tarts, so I'm skipping the icing. Always toasted mine, and put butter on them, while they were hot. I don't like xanthan gum, so I'll skip that on the filling. If it's not thick enough, I'll add chia seeds. I make my own cranberry sauce, which is super easy. Bear with me, there's a reason I'm adding this. I buy a lot during Thanksgiving/Christmas season, and freeze them. Put the packages inside a Ziploc bag, the cranberry packages have holes. One 10oz bag of fresh cranberries, allulose, and water. Empty the whole bag of cranberries into a deep saucepan. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup water, and 1 cup allulose. You can use more or less allulose, depending on your desired level of sweetness. Start with heat on high, once it boils, reduce temperature to a simmer. The cranberries will start popping open as they get hot. Give them a little help by using a slotted spoon or spatula, to crush the cranberries. Keep crushing and stirring until it's getting thick. It takes about 15-20 minutes. Cranberries have a lot of pectin, so they gel and thicken on their own. No gelatin, xanthan gum, or anything else needed. I found I could add cherry flavoring to my cranberry sauce, and it tastes almost like cherry jam. I haven't tried other flavors yet, but I bet you could use a lot of different flavorings with the cranberries. It would make good filling for these. I use it as jam on PB&J sandwiches, on low carb bread. I think orange and cranberry is hard to beat, as a flavor combination, but oranges are high in sugar. So I'm thinking lots of orange zest, and maybe some orange flavoring. It would be like cranberry-orange marmalade. Keep up the great videos, you two are an inspiration to me.

It takes abt 10min to thicken on it's own. It will continue to thicken after it's removed from the heat. 2 C Fruit of choice, I try to stick to berries 2 T (sweetener of choice to taste) 2 T FRESH Lemon Juice 2 T Chia Seeds Water to preference if too thick Bring all to boil, simmer 10min. I used mission carb tortillas, mixed cream cheese and sugar free jelly, fried in in oil and sprinkled with Splenda. I allowed it to cool a bit and then ate it. It tasted just like toaster strudels. So good.
hey i saw someone on youtube made Bacon Cannoli they wrap the bacon around foil to make the tube shape with the bacon i think you can use a wooden dowel cut down to size to wrap the bacon around it and they put maple syrup on it and bake it a few minutes and then turned it and rub maple syrup and bake it until done they filled it with filling wonder if its any good
in oa( overeaters anonymous you have to abandon sugar and wheat anything because of the way those things affect the brain of a food addict. I realized that I craved food made with those things the most. The bad bacteria in your gut also want sugar and things that turn into sugar(wheat anything, bread, crackers) because it feeds them.
Am unsure if someone has mentioned this already, but it could be a dough hook works with a narrower, deeper, straight-sided bowl. It could be the hook needs the sides of the bowl to squeeze the dough as it turns, which would keep it on the hook.
I loved it! I don't have access to any keto products where I live, so I love the easy recipes. I will totally be making these "poptarts" soon. Thanks you two ❣️

Every now and then I get a craving for Cinnamon rolls. I made some with Fathead dough and enjoyed a couple guilt free. I could also see a Cinnamon version of this recipe. I have tons of figs to and that might be my next attempt. The figs are so sweet that you won’t need any sweetener in the filling. Great video ladies. A little friendly competition between sisters. 🙂
This sounds good and I like the idea of using Fathead dough. But I would use Smuckers sugar free jam, which is sweetened with sucralose, for the filling.
I would try the one Sarah made...the original Legendary pastry may have fewer carbs but I have tried them in the past and they leave a terrible aftertaste.

I’ve found the best tool for mixing fathead dough is the little broad plastic spatula thing that comes with a lot of rice pots
