The shower test shown was actually about 7-10 minutes of dowsing my face with the shower head (fun times!) and though it was hard to see on camera, the water did bead up on top of the powder and it didn't move.

I found this when we were on vacation in Florida in August and it's almost gone! I love it. I'm 57, with fine lines and wrinkles, combo/oily skin, and use tretinoin nightly. Filmed a video about it 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty small, so almost nobody is talking about it. LOL

I'm 57 as well (soon to be 58). I don't really have oily skin, maybe just a bit in the T zone during the hot summer, but I tend to be dry in the wintertime. Do you think this would be a good option for mature, non-oily skin?

@@sandyrice3559 I think it's worth a try. I'm oily in the t zone. Maybe use a hydrating primer, especially in your drier areas. Let it set down before putting the powder on so it doesn't just stick to the first place you pit it.

Ohhhhh I'm gonna have to give this a go! Right now I use the IT Cosmetics powder foundation which is around 30 or 40 dollars..I cant remember the exact price..but ya this looks fabulous and for 6 bucks! I hope this will work for me but if it don't I won't be upset for buying it for that price and if it does work my wallet will love me. Thanks for sharing and your skin looks great without makeup!

Omg too funny! I reviewed this powder foundation when it first released and literally have not put it down since! I wear this all the time and I am NOT a powder foundation gal (usually). I have oily dehydrated acne prone skin and bought a back up. So ya I agree, it's THAT good!

I found it when looking in Ulta. I am 54 with very dry, sensitive skin. And I have liked it so far. And I wear alone. No primer, or setting spray. It looks really nice. Your just a pleasure to watch, and hear your view. Have a blessed life, always! May God bless, and keep everyone, every where!!

The foundation is EXCELLENT...
The pretty natural foundation by essence is bomb too so cheap Essance is L'Oreal which is Estee lauders brand or Dior I cannot remember U cannot go wrong it's just the kids brand or budget to L'Oreal and loreals budget the big guys U cannot go wrong I remember when they were putting it in shops the lady was like this is great get all the eyeliners lip liners it's the best 🎉

I’m 58 and my Holy Grail foundation since the early 90s has been MAC Studiofix Powder foundation. The price just kills me now so I’ve been looking for a drugstore replacement. There’s 2 L’Oréal powder foundations that I like , but the Essence has a price that can’t be beat! I just ordered it thanks to you!

Been searching for a good drugstore powder foundation to wear over tinted sunscreen & the Loreal one is hard to get a match & too expensive to buy multiples. Can't wait to try this. I have freckles that I adore and pretty decent skin so I don’t wear foundation and only use concealer sparingly, but I’m getting older (35) and could use a little evening out. Definitely putting this on my list! Big hugs, Zabs! 🖤
Zabrena I love it when you mention waterproof products, because I too am here in FLORIDA. If a "waterproof" makeup can survive our humidity and climate, then it deserves the credit. Love it when you really put that claim to the test.
Also, I had to rewind the video a few times when you zoomed in around 3minutes, because I was distracted by the blue flashlights you have for eyes!! Damn lady your eyes are so blue and clear. I have used bare minerals for the last few years because it was the only powder foundation I found that didn't look like I had applied it with a spoon. Of course bareMinerals is not cheap, so I am excited to try this find as I also have oily skin and large pores. Thanks for your research and suggestions

I have both and love both of them! I work in a hot kitchen so I tend to use the loreal one for work and this essence one for weekends. Their both great tho!

This is awesome 🤩 It’s precisely what I needed for my trip to Cartagena, Colombia this week, except I had no idea it existed. It’s been so hot and humid here (even for a SoFl girl), I feel like I’ve spent the week in a literal sauna. My skin is normal, leaning to the oily side on the t zone. I find powders to be more flattering than liquid foundations bc I can ALWAYS see those on my skin, except for the Revlon Candid Photoready foundation 😍 which comes with like 5 filters and I can't see it or feel it on; it's awesome! Definitely this powder foundation is one I'd give it a go.

I really need to pick this up. The only place that sells Essence in my area is CVS and the store is so sad that the Essence display has been exactly the same for 3 years!! The only thing they ever restock is the Lash Princess mascara!!!

I have this in the Vanilla shade. While I do like it, it doesn't have near the coverage that the elf powder foundation, or my all-time fave Makeup Revolution Satin Matte powder foundation. Just over sunscreen, I feel a bit too much of my rosacea peeks out. But over my Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless it works beautifully and really does blur everything. And it's $6!! If I'm in a real hurry, I'll use the elf or MR over my SPF and be done with it. But on a regular day, I'll continue using it over my foundation. Another great video - Love, Peace, Joy & Light to you, as well!!

@@noneofurbusiness5223 I've been SO happy with their powder foundation for years!! I'm not sure if they just discontinued those foundations (which kills me!!) or if the company is in trouble! I just went to their site directly and it's amazing how many foundation & powder products they're out of. They have other powder foundation options but nothing that looks like what I'm used to. SO not happy.... so unless you're one of the only shades Ulta has left... you might be left out, too!

I like to put vitamin E on my face and let it sink in before I apply the powder foundation. I use Bobbi Brown, but at that price point, I need to find something less expensive

I love this powder, I got it a few weeks ago to use as a setting powder after foundation, and it is amazing. Goes on smooth, blurs my pores, doesn't feel or look cakey/heavy on my skin, and just gives a nice finished look to my complexion.
How do you apply it as a setting power? Brush or sponge?

Came to the comments to see if anyone else mentioned the J cat powder. 😊 I’m in Canada so it’s not readily available and I came across it on a trip to the grocery store. So sad it’s not something they carry regularly. Going to try to get my hands on the Essence powder.

I absolutely LOVED the powder foundation. My only concern is that I have dry skin, but I suppose that with a good primer and setting spray it should be okay. What are your thoughts? Your skin looked so pretty, like it was filtered, when you came back after 9 hours. I would say that foundation is worth looking into. I like all the Essence products I've ever tried. As far as Believe goes, I have a full face of their products, and really enjoy them. The foundation alone, at $5.99, is worth the trip to purchase it. Looking forward to seeing your "full face" video on Believe products! Your channel rocks, by the way. You are such a beautiful, graceful and kind woman. I truly look forward to watching your videos. I think the no primer/setting spray side still looks good for all day in the humid South. I think I'd try it, but I'd put a little concealer on my acne scars before topping with the powder foundation. I'd use primer & setting spray too.

I bought mine today in 05 Classic Vanilla and it seems to be fine. My skin has a red/pinky in it but I prefer using neutral/peachy undertones to try and counter act the red/pink,, so far so good 🙂🤞

Great video! I have dry, more mature skin. I want to try this powder foundation with my RT miracle powder sponge, my Essence fix and last makeup gripping jelly primer, and the essence fix and last 18 hour setting spray. Just to see if I can use it without it looking cakey.

I’ve been wearing this Essence powder foundation for a couple months now, and it’s awesome!! I feel like it blurs the pores better than HIGH END powder foundations! Save the money and get this one instead, if you like using powder foundations! 😍 OH! And I use the L’Oreal Magic Perfecting Base underneath … amazing primer to smooth out pores! 😁
