Yeah, I remember traveling in the 60's with no A/C in the car. Of course, we always traveled in the summer when school was out. I suffered from car sickness, which I partly blame on the heat and the rest because my dad drove like he was a race car driver!

Hello Frugal Daddy! I am old enough to remember cars built without air conditioning. My first car was a used 1955 Chevy, then a used 1962 Chevy Corvair, then a used '67 Chevy El Camino, a used '62 Chevy Impala, which did not have AC, and more over the decades. . Oh, I almost forgot my husband's used '58 Corvette with no AC. (NOTE: We ended our used General Motors addictions in 2002. )
I am also old enough to remember gasoline for 27 cents a gallon!
I am also a zucchini fan. Back in the early 1970s we lived where we had a yard and a good garden, and we grew zucchini, green beans, strawberries , cucumbers, etc. I learned to do home canning. Watching and listening to today's video, at 7:47 you mentioned that you breaded and grilled your zucchini. Where I live now, unfortunately we only have a balcony with room for only the AC compressor unit and a few tomato plants growing in pots. We get our zucchini from the local market. We don't have room for a grill outside, but instead I can broil them or use a stove-top grill pan. I slice the zucchini lengthwise into halves or slabs depending upon thickness, and sprinkle them with seasoned bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese before I cook them.
