Great video! Doing an ocean crossing is such a fantastic thing to do. It's something I think about often but I feel sea sickness would cripple me. Dropping the anchor at the end of each day is quite appealing...... keep up the good work
Fabulous journey!!! Felt for you Jaz. That was a rough one for you. I loved the day four sunrise, it looked absolutely beautiful. So glad you made it safely. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I'm totally hooked on watching your journey. Miss you being there Naomi but it will be worth the sacrifice when your finished your studies.
I have a few theistic friends of faith that accept evolution is a thing and is a mechanism used by god. To them it is not a dichotomy of either one accepts god or evolution. And many have told me once they started to understand what evolution is and its immense complexities, it made their appreciation of the cosmos much more complete.
That’s convenient of them. Why isn’t evolution written in their book? Are they using the pick and choose method of religion? Hopefully they are keeping the advice on how to keep slaves.
@@imusuallycorrect Not all Christians are nutbar evangelicals with a strict and narrow interpretation. In fact a majority of Christians accept evolution in a theistic sense, and consider much of genisis and such to be metaphor.

Well I guess that’s debatable. And not look for a debate. I can only tell you my belief and that there is hell on earth and heaven on earth. I believe God is responsible for the Good not the evil.
Congrats, that’s a big trip! First time I’ve watched you guys, love the honesty, not so much the spit! 😆 I’ll sub and follow along! Thanks for sharing.😎🏖🌴☀️🇦🇺
@@SailingNikau thank you so much. We are new to sailing as in we bought a 1999 45ft Leopard Catamaran a month ago in St Thomas USVI. We just completed a 12 day passage from there to Fort Lauderdale Florida. Ginger worked wonders for seasickness. Fresh Ginger steeped in Hot water with honey, Ginger candy, Ginger beer, or Ginger flavoured Kombucha worked wonders.
I studied a little about Fish and The German Sword Fish sounds pretty good. The Swastika on the Flag is a cutting tool Used by the people before Noah's Ark. You've got to figure in the water your sailing on was also here before Noah's Ark. That's how old that German Sword fish is.
Great video. Looking forward to the next episode. Seasickness is lousy eh?? Takes 3 days to get your sealegs back on average. Take care Nikau crew. Atb.
Nice to see you guys out on the water again, missed the adventure. Have fun in Savu-Savu, I haven't been there in 20 years or so but definately my favorite place in Fiji. Had many a Pizzas at the Yacht Club and Drinks at the Planters and Diving with Curley Carswell...I wonder if he's still around. Looking foreward to the next Video.
Wow I have been watching the Z-crew for sometime, so glad I clicked on your awesome passage I’m now hooked watching your awesome family, I cant wait for next video ..
Most likely the "little bird", if it looks like a swallow, is perhaps a wren and it was on a migratory flight and ? for whatever reason ? it is taking a breather to "catch it's breath". Perhaps it is not strong enough to make the journey and it will perish when it leaves your boat's rest, instinct may take over - OR it may be refreshed and complete its instinctual voyage thanks to your test stop. You can offer it water, perhaps some food but you may have nothing it is capable of eating. Sorry, but my brother has more experience than I and follows migratory patterns and such. I know, too much information! What brand of self steering is that?
@@SailingNikau Cool (as in I understand now), some other channels have had birds stop and rest then take off again. My brother says he had wrens stop for a rest when he was out longlining swordfish in the 70s. Of I said anything to offend you I apologize! I just wanted to say if they do stop, offer then some fresh water and a safe perch, that is all.
@@SailingNikau The appendage in the water behind the boat (15:50) with the little rudder on it was RayMarine?!? I am no one important, I just get interested in little things I see and want to research them.

Glad you guys made it safe and sound. Bad luck about the passage though jeez, it looked rough as guts lol. Also what are ya doing filming your wife while she's sick hahaha. That was also a bit rough doing that lol.
Sorry, but misleading title. What I saw was a thoroughly easy passage in light to at worst short term moderate conditions. Then again, I'm used to Caribbean deliveries upwind in steady 25 fighting current and 5-7'chop....but I don't deliver light production boats.
When people throw up they are always unhappy. And I have come to realization why! That's because they've disrupted the basic cycle of happy life. And the first rule of a happy life is:"NEVER EAT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!!!" In other words if you want to keep being happy: 1. Don't throw up! 2. Make sure you eat something before you sit down to eat so you don't eat on an empty stomach! And that goes backward indefinetly. (That will also help youstay slim because the food you eat before you sat down to eat will fill your stomach so you won't have to eat so much!)😁 Sharks know that; that's why they keep eating all the time. And you've never seen a sad shark, have you!? LOL😂
