As a straight man myself and growing up thinking the horrible things about "queers" I avoided my friends that were unfortunately raised the sameway as I was thinking of gays as a plague I secretly listen to Elton John alone in my car and house. That's was before meeting my best friend and wife and realizing that it wasn't any of my business about Elton John nor was it a plague. Thanks to her intelligence I've been openly listening to Elton John now for years and it's awesome. The funny thing is that for all those years hiding his music it was just ingnorance on my end.

Even him saying he's bisexual i believe was a lie. He is gay and i give him credit for being open about it in the 80s

this is correct! he stated later on (around the 90s iirc) that he was never actually bisexual.
