Awesome scanner. It is very sensitive for double feeds, so old photos that are mounted won't go through and have to be done on a flatbed scanner. It gives warnings if there is dust or dirt in it which will affect the scan. Best purchase I have made for doing photo restorations.
Thank You SO much! this was extremely helpful.
EXCELLENT and extremely helpful!!! Thank you!
Very well done. One question. Upload. I want my photos on the computer only, which options do I use to accomplish this? No cloud storage. I'm assuming everything automatically goes to the cloud.
Thank you for your review, of the Epson scanner, you have convinced me that it is the Epson Scanner, and not the Canon R40 scanner, which is not recommended, as the Epson has a better quality. Thanks from Jeppe, Denmark😀😁
Glad I could help and thanks for watching from Denmark (I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada!) :)
Excellent thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
So useful review right before my purchase. Thanks from Jeju, South Korea.
Thanks for the kind words! We are still using it and it has not had a problem in the 1000+ photos we have scanned so far... almost done. Thanks for letting me know you are from South Korea. My girlfriend and I are talking about taking a vacation there. Have a great day Hyok :)
Very clear presentation, but a little fast, so I will watch it a couple of more times.
June 2024, I want to make sure everyone knows if you're using Windows 11, I did not find a link to download software on the website at this point. It just says to connect the scanner to the same Wi-Fi/internet and it will automatically download the drivers.
Great video. How do you keep only the enhanced pictures, so you don't have duplicates ?
Can I put the photos to a pen drive
Some of the 1* reviewers in Amazon complain that the rollers on their machines are scratching the original prints. In your closeups of the photo you scanned several times it looks like there is a scratch along the length of the print that shows up in the darker areas. Do you notice any scratches on other ones you scanned as compared to any you have not scanned? Thanks
That’s what I was coming back to see if that ever got fixed 😢
You may well regret not saving the original as opposed to the “enhanced” as technology advances. Do like museums do. Save the highest quality image in its natural state.
Save the basic image and use the enhancements available down the road.
Was this video made in 2005? A 14MB image isn't "gigantic", what a silly statement. A $7 32GB USB thumb drive can hold 2285 photos. A 20MP photo using lossless jpeg compression will be 30MB. Talk about being overly dramatic. Sheesh.
