But if you're gonna price it that high then you should at least give it a reason to be that high, this game felt more like a demo than an actual full polished game. An example of a short story game with good polishing would be Amnesia: The Bunker, this game I actually enjoyed because I didn't encounter any issues playing and the animations were fluid.
the part about the reloading being a separate button must be the most shoved in criticism of all time bruh every game has a dedicated reload button that is a different button than the shooting one just cause its automatic doesnt mean its a good criticism

This review is the product of too many games that hold your hand. I really don't think this game was bad. I appreciated the semi realistic challenge of minimal ammunition, limited stamina, and the speed differential. Graphics mean absolutely nothing to any game unless you're talking about a series or sequels you have something to compare to. This game would've been too easy and boring with one-shot aliens, a map with bright shining ammunition and arrows pointing the way... I mean what the hell do you want from this game? You play it to have fun. As with all games. If you're playing a video game to dissect every aspect of it, then you aren't going to have fun and there's ALWAYS something wrong with every game. It's your expectations vs. your experience. If you look at any game there's flaws but this isn't a game full of glitches, choppy storyline or bad planning. This is a game you play in the dark with your friends or girlfriend and never tell them what you've learned. You learn as you go. That's part of the experience dude.

I'm not trying to defend the game but... Is this the first game you ever played? Reloading has always been a seperate button in every game ever. Yes, many games do have an automatic reload feature when your gun is empty, but there are also many games where can only reload manually, especially slow horror games.

I enjoyed the game. It definitely left more to be desired but for a small indie developer I was impressed. It didnt feel like a polished final product though, more like an extended demo with the bugs not worked out yet. One critique that I've seen a lot but disagree with is the lack of way points but I actually enjoyed that. No map or way points made it a creepier, realer experience that forces you to sneak around, explore and figure it out all while evading capture by the greys. Granted there are markers in the form of lanterns that help you with some objectives throughout the game. I can see them building upon this and creating a much better game in the future but for what it is now, I found it to be creepy, fun and an overall enjoyable experience.

Just went for an attempt at this game. Man.. I can tell how incomplete this game is, the animations are lacking and the dialogue is massively delayed. My first encounter with the aliens went as you'd expect, I bashed its head and shot it, obviously it wouldn't die but everytime it forced me into a choke hold where I had to spam the rt button, the choke hold bugged out and I was literally stuck. Might seem like a very minor issue but if these are meant to be core mechanics in a game about aliens then they should at least be more polished. Its clear the devs focused more on the graphics of the game than the animations, everything is lacking. Ill be nice though, the voice acting was good, not the greatest but it was good, better than Atomic Heart's voice acting.
I think I'll like it too and bought it but now all I hear are bad things about it so I'm not sure about opening it or returning it for something else... I don't mind if it's short or corny or has 360 Era gameplay, I think the atmosphere still looks decent and want to experience a short alien invasion, you recommend just trying it then?? Trying to make a horror game based on classic greys in the first place is laughable. Their designs are just too goofy and nonthreatening. It especially doesn't help that they're completely unarmed in this game. They're like 4 ft tall, built like twigs, and the only thing they try to do is grab you. Realistically you could probably just punt them away with ease or grab them by the ankles and hammer throw them clear across the street.
Wasted potential, my biggest complaints are the hit detection with the bat, the unconventional control layout, having to smash the trigger button instead of a face button to escape a Greys grasp and not being able to kill the Greys with the bat.
Like most games they say on the can their great buy, like the old Atari games they looked good on the can but they were awful, lucky for us now we have the review and video before release .
I always find these types of Alien stories hilarious. Why would an advanced alien race travel here just to stalk people around corn fields, and walk straight at someone who’s wielding a firearm without any thought of self preservation.

This game is meant to be a psychological fear simulation and not a game like red dead redemption 2 in depth. This is the best and "realistic" alien game ever made.
Like most reviews from this channel, it's probably a good idea to ignore it and watch a respectable review channel for your info. It's failing for a reason
I like a lot of crappy games so I'll definitely give this a try. Not for $30 though. I'll wait for the inevitable price drop, which will probably be very soon.
