yeah I'm going into biomedical engineering and whenever one of my friends starts saying I'm soo smart and puts themselves down over it I say no you're not stupid and I'm not smart I simply put more time in a different set of skills than you did. then case to case I'd start listing off what they're better than me at.
The irony is my brother is a UA-camr, my father was a nasa employee (now DoD employee) and my Aunt is a university professor. No joke. this vid made me spit out my spaghetti Os with the random odds of that. I will say tho… at least in my family… none of them would passively flex their success. Instead we wax poetic about how great a tv show Firefly was. Oh one of us would be looping the one UA-cam vid on how to make this recipe; while the other 2 would be arguing the semantics of substituting Preggo for white sauce.
Agreed, I just fully agree with this. I feel like in this modern era. People need to stop trying to sound like self entitled a holes and realize that in every single way of life there’s always someone behind the scene who has it rougher than they do, if you’re going to all the conventions in Europe, be nice to the staff, and tell them that they deserve more, thank youse, and your welcomes

Goodness, talk about being spot on. Happy to say I actually know most of the cooking tasks! Albeit, I'm no star in the kitchen. Either way, it's important for everyone to take a moment of introspection to ensure they're not running about with an over-inflated ego. It's OK to proud of where you are in life, but of course, never put others down to lift yourself up. c:
So perfect sketch with a good message , like a brilliant act in theatre stage. Even on lunch restourant of teaching kitchen you can experience so well made and planned combination of flavors, art of food.
The cook gets so much more respect from me because more than likely, all the overachievers were probably spoon-fed their fast track to success. Plus the stress of working in a kitchen, lord I appreciate my food

Unfortunately I'm uncertain I would have the self control to put the knife down these days, so I avoid everyone for the most part and just sit around hating myself.
I grew up and went to school with a bunch of rich kids. They thought I was nuts because I brought a bicycle and a toolbox. Spent the whole semester fixing everyone's broken shit, then dropped out of college. They couldn't get jack done if they didn't pay someone to do it for them. I literally taught a 20 year old guy how to start a load of laundry. X3
Oi, i'm ngl yeah.... i have seen this in the hospitality trade as i work in it..... there will be some folks who do show off about their 'graduation' but when it comes to common sense on simple things usually waiters/waitresses. They ent got a clue. And it is really quite funny
As the objectively most skilled person in the world (because), I object. The matter of the fact is not what I object, but that I do. I have made a sound with drum kit, euphonium, percussion, trumpet, violin, guitar, bass guitar, vocals, and mayonnaise. I got honors credit in my 9th grade English class, and attended three total AP classes throughout high school. Obviously, no one can compare to my greatness in very arbitrary and meaningless ways.
As an average European IT furry that knows how to cook, can be anywhere in Europe within hours for under 200 bucks, has an average education and knows that nasa has been nothing but a placeholder institution for decades, I must respectfully say: YOU'RE ALL MY BITCHES!
And I had an idea of a better version of the drum mag, was in Three wars, Served 4 countries, Also was a major reason Project Kampfpanzer elite, which allowed me to get Anti-matter shells, was successful.
It's so true sadly. I'm a furry that has worked primarily in IT, also done mechanic work and sold insurance and worked my butt off hard and still can't afford a fursuit. When I see people making fun of furries it honestly makes me appalled, sad and angry all at one time because it's so hard to make it on skills alone in today's world. I finally very recently started a new government IT job that will pay very very well and offers incredible benefits and the people are incredible so far. I think it's the first time in my life the idea of affording a fursuit doesn't seem unreasonable finally. It took a lot of work to get here and my side business is finally honestly feeling like a business while I get calls more and more often. I'm just going to say for whoever follows is in my footsteps in the sand and wants to try and get to this point. It's grueling and extremely hard at times, but if you keep your head held high and be professional and work through the pain, frustration, sleepless nights and moments you feel like giving up. It will be worth it. I haven't even saved up enough for a fursuit yet, but I will likely have enough this year or at the latest next year. Just the idea of going to cons in my own fursuit with friends and or family brings me joy. You'll make it if it's meant to be. It may take many years like it did for me but you'll make it.

Hey, never compare yourself to other's experiences. Everyone takes their own path, in their own way. Don't feel pressured to advance in life at a specific age because everyone else is doing it. Your life is your own.
Not everyone is tall and not everyone has to be tall to be a right man in the right place. Doesn't mean there are no short people. Not everyone is a genius and not everyone has to be a genius to be a right man in the right place. Doesn't mean everyone is a genius.
Canadian GDP is around 75% that of the US per citizen because the US invests more into research and development to make employees more efficient at their jobs. Canadians make up for this by working harder for longer work hours. I would argue the US is better at work than Canadians, because smarter work leads to better income. The wealthy usually aren't just wealthy, in order to keep their wealth for a lifetime they usually need to be competitive with other wealthy people, flaunting harvard degrees and yachts and crap is more like peacock feathers than anything else.
